  1. We upgraded our video to video package 2. I haven't seen the video yet, but I love their work. The company is Cancun Wedding Video. I'll post the video as soon as I have it.
  2. Cri Cri...trash the dress was really fun!! It was very tiring and difficult. But that might be because my dress was extremely heavy. I'm so happy we decided to do TTD. It was so fun, and i've only seen the two teaser pictures, but I can't wait. It was another excuse to get into my dress, and it was a great memory to cherish.
  3. The cake topper came from an Etsy seller: BarbieHillDesigns She was great, and really easy to work with.. Here are some more pictures:
  4. Here are some pictures from friends and family. This canopy is is to the left of the larger one. This one has to be set up. These were my BM's barefoot sandals that my BM Kristi made for everyone
  5. Hi Ladies, I'm so sorry I've been MIA for a while. I think I just need a break from wedding stuff. Im still working on my review, but I can answer any questions. I'm waiting on the professional pictures and video, but i'll be sure to post them asap. Juan does post a couple pictures from the wedding to his FB very quickly. He had them up the same night! The same for the TTD. On this one you can see my barefoot sandals. Here are some teasers from the TTD
  6. Ok I leave in 2 days, and now i'm going back in forth between having a dance floor or just using the gazebo. We are having our ceremony on the beach, and reception at the gazebo, I was just going to use the gazebo as the dance floor, however the pictures kinda make it seem dark. We are also paying for the cold fireworks for the first dance. I'm having a hard time imagining the cold fireworks around the gazebo looking good. I see pictures of the lighted dance floor, and it looks so good to me, what are y'alls thoughts on this? I'm not sure why i'm second guessing things, two days before we leave, I'm still trying to do programs on the fans, and Menu's, on top of packing, and all the other last minute stuff that goes along with going out of town. Cassie..
  7. Hi Beachbride2013...We leave the 24, so maybe i'll see you there! Congrats!!
  8. CriCri, I'm soo excited for you? We arrive on Monday May 14, our wedding is Friday May 18.. Maybe I'll see you there? Maybe I will get a peak at your wedding. When do you leave? If you have a chance on Monday I would love to meet you!!! Cassie
  9. Congrats you look beautiful. I'm using Adrian as well for the wedding. Where did you get your guestbook? Did you bring the glass for the frame with you? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?scy132
  10. HI, I"m purchased a sand ceremony frame from an Etsy seller. I heard this was easier to transport back. I purchased this frame but he made it in cherry wood. You can use an engagement picture during the ceremony, and later you could put in a wedding picture. SayAnythingDesign
  11. My colors are Malibu blue (turquoise) with Fuchsia. The bridesmaids are wearing Malibu. I can't decide if I should get sashes for the chairs in fuchsia or blue? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?hwh1fa
  12. Did anyone else tear up watching this beside me? I'm so excited. Looks like that the wedding arch. Is anyone using this one, or the smaller one to the left of it? Also do you know if this is the standard symbolic script?
  13. For those of you that ordered your GM and dads suits, did you pay for them as well? Was this part of their GM gift? Thanks. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?mpaaod
  14. Love all your work! We have the same colors!! Is there anyway you can post or PM me the templets you used? I'm having trouble with all this DIY.
  15. what website did you get these chair sashes from? Just wondering to make sure its the same color teal I'm looking for? Thanks
  16. I'm bringing chair sashes, and maybe some linens. I wanted to bring Chinese lanterns as well, but Cecilia said there was no way for them to set them up without me bringing the poles. We opted to get 20 Lanterns...its sooo expensive and its dumb cause their not that expensive to buy..but oh well I guess they've got me and i love the way they look
  17. Hi ladies, Sorry I've been MIA since I've been back from Playa. Our trip went great! I apologize if this might get long. We arrived on Thursday, as soon as we landed, grabbed the bus, and headed for the hotel(Hotel Cielo in Playa Del Carmen) we only had an hour to spare until we meant with Laura from Premium Flores. She was super sweet! I was wanting to get another Florist opinion and pricing before deciding on using all of Secrets florists pricing. She told me really I needed to find out which kind of flowers were included in the package (Secrets Ultimate) before comparing to her pricing. I had already been in contact with Laura and had an e-mail with different pics and pricing info. FYI- with the secrets ultimate package you get the bridal bouquet, the groom boutonniere, 2 extra boutonniere's and 2 corsages. So on top of the package deal I also need 5 additional boutonniere's (4 groomsmen+step dad) and 2 extra corsages( step mom+ my grandma) and 4 bridesmaids bouquets. Also I'm looking at flowers to decorate the wedding arch for the beach ( not sure if that's what its called lol), also rose petals for isle. Oh and approximately 3-4 extra centerpieces.( we get our table included in the ultimate package) So basically I need to add up how much all that extras will be and see if its worth using an outside florists. Remember you still have to add an extra $100 vendor fee. So I'll let y'all know what I decide to do about the florist. That night I had my trial with Adrian from Styling Trio Riviera Maya. I met them at their place and they were super nice! I'm glad I decided to do the trial cause my hair came out that night about 3 hours later. Also I would like to change some of my makeup. Here are some pics: OK the next day we left for Secrets Maroma! We met Cecilia in the lobby. She is so nice. We went over our contract and pricing. She has a HUGE book that you can look at that has every picture that you would ever want to look at regarding all the wedding stuff. I told her I would like lilies and roses and told her my colors. She said it should be no problem. We decided to add an extra hour for our reception. Three hours she said was going to fly by and would leave little time for dancing. We also added cold fireworks from the DJ, and Package 3 from the fireworks package for later on that night. I had wanted to do the sky lanterns, but she said that wasn't allowed so we chose to do fireworks instead. We went over the bonfire set up, and chose to do 2 hours with cocktail service. With the chair/cushions for our guests to sit on. I asked about bringing my own Chinese paper lanterns, but she said we would have to bring the wires, and poles, since they have an outside company come in and set this up. So we decided to add 20 Chinese paper lanterns. I think it will look so pretty to the pool gazebo. Here are some pics that we took of some of the flower examples we liked We then went to have our food tasting. We had our on private room in the world cafe restaurant. I had email her ahead of time and told her which item from the gold and silver menu I would like to try. All I can say is whatever you decided on your guests are going to be stuffed! It was all wonderful! Both menus were so good, and it was often hard to choose one. We also did a cake tasting. We ended up choosing tres leches. It was very hard, because neither one of us like tres leches. But for some reason their tres leches tasted like vanilla and visa versa, we even got Cecilia to come taste the cake because we were scared we were confused with the flavors, but she said it was tres leches. So I guess that means we like tres leches, but only in Mexico lol. We also told her we didn't like the fondant. We felt like it totally took away from the flavor of the cake, she said no problem we can change it to butter cream icing. YUM!!! BTW besides the food, the service was awesome!! Before we even got going we had drinks in our hands, and they were carrying our bags for us into the restaurant. Our own private room with our cute little table and flower centerpiece was such a nice touch! We had two personal waiters and were so nice and funny, and informative. They insisted on bringing us two bottles of wine, even though we told them we don't even drink wine. Both bottles were really good, and with the wine, and the cocktail before, I was tipsy by the time we were done with our food lol! Cecilia met back with us after we were done with our food, and said if we didn't have any more questions that we were free to enjoy the hotel! It was very cloudy that day, and very windy, so there weren't that many people out in the water. We headed straight for the beach and it is so beautiful. We didn't even change into our bathing suits, we just layed out and enjoyed to view, we both actually fell asleep for about and hour! We then walked south of the beach, cause I wanted to go see the abandoned hacienda I've heard so much about. It was so cute, and the architecture is amazing. It was very exciting to know the next time I'll be there I'll be married!! We pretty much just walked around and enjoyed the hotel. We looked at the gym, the theater, the shops, and peeked into Desires nightclub. Sorry that it took so long to write this review. We had a wonderful time, and I feel much better about everything. I've stopped stressing about flowers and such, because I know when I make my decision they are going to be beautiful. I would highly recommend a site visit, for just peace of mind, even though I think everything will be taken care of when you get down there. The hotel is beautiful and beach is spectacular the service is wonderful and the people are very friendly. So I think we did a great job of picking this hotel, and couldn't be happier. Ask away if you have any questions!
  18. This is my dress! Maggie Sottero Adeline. This is me when the dress arrived. Don't really like the pictures that much, but i'll post more after I get my fitting, and some from the wedding!!
  19. Hi ladies, I'm on the plane right now headed down to do our site visit. If I find Internet I'll try and log in and update everyone. Today I'm doing my hair/ makeup trial with Adrian from the styling trio, then meeting a florist from Playa Del Carmen, tomorrow I meet with Cecilia at 11 and we also meet with the DJ and the photographer. I'm also going to talk with the florists there. In trying to figure out if it's cheaper to use an outside vendor. So excited!! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=29.984336,-95.333041
  20. @Annieweds...I'll be sure to take a bunch of pics of the water and the beach, and report back..
  21. Hi ladies, I just booked with Adrian from the Styling Trio. Im going down to Playa Del Carmen for my site visit, and I'm going to do my trial then. I'll let y'all know how it turns out!
  22. brideRN...I was looking for reviews today for Ismael and came up with nothing...I was wondering if we could use another DJ? Ok so i'm soo excited cause we just decided to go down for a site visit!!!We are going February 2-5. We are not staying at the resort, but I just emailed Cecilia with so many questions about meeting her and staying at the hotel for a day? I'm interested in doing a menu testing..having a hard time picking a main course..also none of the desserts look all that good. I guess its not that big of deal since we will have cake too.. I asked her if we could meet with Juan and Ismael. I wanted to look at flowers. I've been in contact with two florist in Playa Del Carmen. Secrets prices seem high for flowers/centerpieces. I was also thinking about using the hair and makeup that comes with the ultimate package and using it as a trail instead...Then i'll know for sure if I should book the Adrian or not? If anyone would like me to ask her any questions or if there's anything you want me to check out just let me know. I'll be happy to ask! I'm also going to take lots of pictures. I'm going to try and ask again about having the Sky laters for the reception ( I think they are so beautiful) Let me know how I can help! Cassie
  23. Hello fellow RN We are doing our ceremony and cocktail hour on the beach, and our reception at the gazebo terrace...I'm having a hard time finding any reviews on the DJ? would love to hear any feedback on him?
  24. Yes the resort photographs is Juan Navarro.. I'm in the same boat as you about hair and makeup..I'm thinking I might get an outside vendor to come in and do hair and makeup just to be safe..I asked cecilia and she said you can you that hair credit for something else!!
  25. @beachbride2013...The styling Trio is who i've been in contact with to maybe do my hair and makeup, they also do air brush makeup. www.stylingtriorivieramaya.com I'm not sure about the centerpieces for the tables at the cocktail hour, I think they just put candles out.. I love Juan's pictures..and are also going to upgrade his package. I would ideally like him there a little before the wedding starts to maybe right before the reception ends. So like 6 hours I guess?
