Thanks everyone. It's nice to get the re-assurance that it will work out. I would have felt better if they were returning calls my TA. The only reason I called is because she asked me to, see if we got anywhere sooner. I'll just have to learn to be patient! Thanks again.

Hi ladies I'm desperate for some help! So this week my TA and the MP people have been working on our wedding contract. Today I get the "ok" from the travel agent with dates and prices and all that fun stuff and she tells me to go online and to make sure our date is booked . . . I go online and it says there are NO weddings to be booked that day! i've already called Lisa, I actually go a person on the line but it was NOT her. Apparently Lisa is supposed to be "calling me back" but we know how long that will be. . . . Am I going mad/bridezilla like here or is this just CRAZY?!?!?! I have already posted about this on their facebook page but shocking NO response. Anyone have any issues like this or am I the only "lucky" one?

1. I am purchasing the Sapphire Package, and writing in my contract that our resort $ are to be used for this package (i.e now we get it for free) 2. I am also writing in my contract the locations I want for ALL my "private functions" including the wedding and reception. (This has been sent back to the team in Miami and I'm just waiting to see what they write back) 3. We are going to chance it with the in house photographer, since photos and videos are included in our package. We also decided to add an additional package (since it only come with photos and video of the ceremony) this way we won't have the in house photographer and an outside photographer. Recent views for them have been positive. 4. Not sure what else we are missing. Still waiting the contract to come back. 5. We are not sure about the decorations with our package since it comes with some but we will have more than 35 guests so I'm waiting to see how much they will charge, especially since we will have enough people/rooms for the unlimited free private events. (If it helps any I did put a statement that 45 days prior to travel a "rough estimate - itemized of all costs for the wedding will be e-mailed to the bride and groom") Hope that helps!

yeah i've been trying to be a good "dukan dieter" and keep to the "approved list" i'm scared if I venture too far away that I'll gain the weight! finding cheese that is fat free and sugar free has been hard (I currently have to go to 3 different grocery stores because each store only carries one type of fat free sugar free cheese! I use the reciepe for the vietnamese beef (out of the Dukan book) for most of my meat and it's just like your teriyaki sounds. It's so yummy! So much so when I make it the FI eats half of it! I have a hard time with fish because I'm allergic to all fresh water fish and being this far away from an ocean terrifies me. I was so spoiled living by the ocean and having access to all that great fresh seafood. That's one thing I will be sure to go and eat when I head home!

I'm looking at having one of the "preset" wedding packages which includes the inhouse photographer and I'm concerned given the reviews. Does anyone have an experience with this group? I was thinking of adding an outside photographer but given the review from Matt I can understand his concern for multiple photographers. Any thoughts?

I am also looking to hire the onsite photographer. We are booking the sapphire package and it already comes with a photo package so we figured why have 2 photographer groups and lets chance it with the onsite photographer. Just trying to see if we are making a big mistake or not. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Coconoir1908 I could not agree more. That has been my biggest frustration dealing with MP so far. I have had some serious doubts about having my wedding with this group!

now maybe I read this wrong but I thought we could NOT have pork. My photo copy from the book does not show pork. Did I miss something? I hear you on the spices. My FI says I'm a spice-ologist now. Everything I eat has TONS of spices. Plus I've found some fat free sugar free feta cheese and cheddar cheese and those have been life savers. Too bad we can't get the same spices/seasonings you have in canada, the one you showed on your post sounds amazing but when i've looked I havn't found a parmesagan seasoning that I could have. (But I did find at Trader Joe's some fat free/sugar free parm!)

I also have a random question. (not maraca related sorry). Does anyone have the price quotes for the dinner options. I'm looking specifically for the surf and turf option. Just trying to get a rough idea on the cost. I swear I read that another bride did this for her reception but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw this! Thanks in advance for the help.

If it helps any. I was able to book my trip for August 2012 and asked about the deposit per person (does this include the kids who are under 13?). I was told NO. deposit is for those who will be 13+ at the time of travel NOT booking. This was told to me by Lusa Lizano Wedding Coordinator in Miami today at 3pm.

I have heard of "the greatest show on earth" I'm about to marry a Canadian (he's from Winnipeg and couldn't be happier the jets are coming back)! I've had to brush up on my Canadian history and geography. My FI actually is considering doing the Dukan diet as well, so I guess I have lost some weight! We went to go and try on a seer sucker suit for the wedding and his pant size was 3 sizes larger and needless to say he was NOT happy! I hear you on the grease situation. I'm not a big greasy food kind of girl, but I can't help myself when it's state fair time. My BIGGEST weakness is deep fried snicker bars! But I spend the next 2 days paying for that. It's heavenly! I know my body would never reject chocolate, we are like "peas and carrotts"! Speaking of which i'm having carrots right now! Do you find that you grill more now that you are on this diet or do you have any good chicken recipes, I'm getting at a stale point with chicken. Right now I'm grilling burgers on a near nightly basis!

This has to be the most rediciulous thing that I have ever read! It's also NOT the first time I've heard of this coming from Moon Palace. How do they think this is good business? They can change things whenever they want but they take weeks to months to get back to you! Breaking the diet for Vegas was a good excuse. I'm super impressed that you didn't gain any weight! I'm hoping to only have a little fried food, it will be interesting to see if my body will tolerate grease the way it once did. I've always been a believer (and the research shows) that strengthening added to any "diet" will help speed up the weight loss process. Don't go crazy with it! I do a lot of core strengthening (planks) and as much as I hate them my waist line is where I've seen the results. My other motivation is fitting back into my clothes! I remember thinking that if I added a belt and a loose long shirt no one would notice. It's so nice to wear pants and they close without having to "suck it all in"! Will you be able to see the newlyweds?
