Hi Ladies!! Fiance and I are in Riviera Maya right now and had a tour of DRC today!! WE ARE IN LOVE!!! We're going back later in the week to book it. The most important thing is that fiance took a lot of video with our flip camera and I am in the process of uploading them all to youtube! Once they're all uploaded I will post the youtube link for the videos for all of you girls who didn't get to see the property in person. I will say, the pictures are EXACT and everything is really beautiful! We saw another couple who got married yesterday and said it was the best decision they've ever made!!! Yay! Lindsey

Hi girls!! I am going to Riviera Maya in 3 days!!! We're staying at Ocean Coral & Turquesa but have an appointment to meet with Ana on June 25th. I am so excited to meet her!! I have a question.. I made a guestimate cost spreadsheet for DRC with all of my extras and it came to $10,000!! Insane... I am trying to keep it under $15,000 with everything..dress...stay...etc. Did any of you girls have a private reception in one of the restaurants? If so, which one?! I like the pool deck idea too but I'm just not sure! If you have an private restaurant reception is that EXTRA cost on top of the cost per head over the package price? Thanks!! Lindsey

Is it true that with Moon Palace, you cannot finalize your choices and packages until 30 days before the wedding? I am honestly not sure my nerves could handle that!!

Ok, I finallyyyy heard from someone at MP about a site visit! I think it's because my TA put in a call to the Miami office. She sent me the packages and upgrades and some photos... For those of you booked already, what package are you doing? We're thinking the complimentary so we can customize it with colors, flowers, etc. If you chose this, did you send photos of what you want? Also, where are you having a reception at? I would like something indoors with a view of the ocean, or outdoors. Does anyone have photos of reception locations? If so, could you send them to me at [email protected]?

It doesn't help that Barcelo just got back to me in like...30 minutes.

Man that sucks! That makes them look really bad. I want to schedule a site visit but they're making me have second thoughts. Does anyone have packages + add ons they can send me? Does anyone know the normal response time? I have made three attempts at contacting someone about package pricing and add ons for 2012 and to make an appointment for a site visit. So far, no one has contacted me. I really like what I see, but I am about to let it go because customer service should not be this ridiculous.

Good to know. If you choose the complimentary can you customize everything? I'd like to see the customization options but I've emailed a few times and no planner has emailed back yet!!!

Do you happen to have the packages in your email that you could send me? I can't wait for the coordinator to email me back!! I thought the online prices with flight and airfare seemed reasonable for my guests, but I only priced this year. I am going to be working with a TA for them once we book. I am interested in the Catholic package, but do you know if it's customizable? I would like different colors and flowers..I don't know. The packages all confuse me! I'm afraid there will end up being hidden costs.

I'm considering Moon Palace, basically for the chapel. Why did you choose it? What group rate have you been quoted? The price I ask my guests to pay is basically the most important part for me! Lindsey

We're visiting the Gran Caribe Real on June 26. I love the chapel and I am hoping we love the reception site... Does anyone have photos of their reception here? Also, does anyone have the 2012 menu options for the reception? Is a buffet an option? Thanks! Lindsey

Did anyone rent out one of the restaurants for their wedding reception at DRC? We're getting married in August and think it might be too hot at night. I really like the one with the glass windows over the water. It looks beautiful. Anyway, it says it is 35 extra head. I am curious how long you rented it for, if you have a full on reception with DJ and such and what it cost you. Thanks! Lindsey

Hi All! We're headed to Riviera Maya in 28 days to have a nice, relaxing vacation, and scout for our wedding venue! I am trying to choose between three and I was hoping I could get some insight from anyone who has been to one of them, photographed a wedding at one of them, or knows about them. They are: Ocean Coral & Turquesa [where we are staying] Dreams Riviera Cancun [leaning most toward this.] Gran Caribe Real Cancun [bEAUTIFUL Catholic Chapel, where we wouldn't normally be able to get married Catholic at the others.] So, thoughts anyone? This helped me SO MUCH! We're meeting Ana and Jorge at DRC on June 25th! I am so excited now!!! We will be planning a bunch of things, getting a price and group quote, and hopefully loving it enough to book!! Can't wait to see your photos! Congratulations!!!!

I live down in Mays Landing and work in Galloway. Fiance and I are moving to the Blackwood area in August! He lives in Sewell now and we're going to be searching for an area between our two jobs!

I will keep you posted!! Our friends got married at Sandals Montego Bay in 2009 for $12,000 including the whole entire wedding for 33 people AND their honeymoon!! Happy planning!!! Where in SJ are you?

That is so weird because I am meeting them June 25 to look at Dreams for our wedding and Ana told me I'd be meeting with HER and Jorge...so is it a different Jorge?
