Ashley! I know the price difference is CRAZY. She did guarantee it. We're guaranteeing 20-30 rooms booked because we're expecting a lot of people and Kev and I are staying 7 nights. She said that is the minimum we qualify for but that once rooms book, it will probably be even better, like some nights free, etc. She was awesome. So our reservation says that room, at that price, and shows the upgrade at the bottom. Very cool.

Fiance and I just booked our trip!!! We will be there from July 17, 2012 - July 24, 2012 and are getting married on July 20, 2012!! The TA was awesome, totally recommend Liberty Travel. She upgraded us already to the Honeymoon Suite at the garden room price! I am super pumped. We held our dates and stay with $50! As soon as she gives us the quote for our guests we're going to put it on our site and send our STDs. Life is good.

When I took my tour at the end of June we saw the ENTIRE resort and didn't notice a smell. Rest assured, the resort is gorgeous and if your guests notice a slight smell, so what? They will be SO PLEASED with your choice. I know we were blown away by it on our tour and cannot wait for our wedding.

Chante, I sent my planner a word doc of all my pics with pictures of what I want and she sent me back prices. Beware, they are expensive!!

Hence why my wedding costs are so high! I sent photos of what I want and it's around $13,000 for everything. My dad said it's ok but gosh!!! I hate the costs but in NJ it would be close to that too. I wonder if I should look into doing the silk bouquets....

I'm so glad the videos helped! We filmed them so we could remember but I knew I'd post them here even if my fiance teases me for "blogging" haha. I don't think it was at capacity, it seemed to have a lot less people than our resort [which is crappy compared to dreams]. A friend of a friend got married at Dreams and said it's a bit more upscale but WORTH every bit of it.

Ashley, did you show Yamina photos of what you want? I did and I too was floored!! My bouquet is going to cost $250!!! In NJ that's probably normal, but Mexico? Yikes. Luckily my dad is paying an okay'd it! I am bringing chair bows because $5 a bow is insane. I wanted to bring rose petals for the aisle but I don't think they will let you put fake ones on the sand... as far as outside vendors, I heard you just have to pay a fee...

Hi and welcome!! I was able to visit dreams at the end of June and if you go back a few pages - to 648 or so, I posted a youtube link with videos of our tour! It was gorgeous and so worth looking at. We booked for July 20, 2012!

Mrs. S!! So crazy that I actuallly met you while we were filming on our tour. We were so impressed and book for next July! Yamina is my planner and so far has been fabulous. It is such a relief to know your wedding went off without a hitch! We have all the same things you did, 6 pm north beach, north jacuzzi cocktail, and pool deck. Did you find it was really humid for your reception or was there a nice sea breeze? We're so excited and it was great to meet you!! Congrats! Where did you honeymoon?

I know!! We're July of next year and pretty much all planned out already! I even got my dress already! Now it's hurry up and wait. When I was there Jorge told me that last May they did 62 weddings!! They totally know what they're doing. I've put all my trust in Yamina.

Ok, we're from NJ and we're not doing the legal ceremony in Mexico...we want to be legally married in NJ. My question is...can we ddo this with just paper work or will we need to take vows before Mexico?

So....how do you plan a wedding? I have no clue where to start!!! Any of you list makers out there got a to-do list I can steal???

Lindsay are you having your reception on the pool deck? Can you let me know how it is if it is outside? We're afraid it will be humid but our wedding is exactly a year after yours!

Okay ladies, so my wedding is a 381 days away!!! Yamina sent me all of the catalogs and menus and packages and I am struggling with how to convey to her what we want! Did anyone just put pictures of colors and inspiration in a word document and send it to their planner? I'm thinking of doing that....so she really understands the look we want.

Alaina can correct me if I am wrong but North Beach is right in front of the Presidential Suite. If the room isn't being used, the bride will come down those steps. It's a short walk thought....maybe 1 minute until you reach the chairs?

ahahaha that is so funny!!!! it's such a small world. I was so happy about seeing a happy couple while we were there, it solidified it for us and we booked a few days later!!! SUCH A RELIEF and congrats again!!!!

Well ladies, we're booked for Friday July 20, 2012 at 6:00 PM!! I am so so so excited!!! Dreams is gorgeous. We did change from having our ceremony at the arch to the beach because we saw one happening today at 3:30 or so and there were toooo many people in bathing suits by the pool... it didn't seem elegant because of that! I did get some photos, but not great ones. I will post them when we get home from our trip. I feel very secure in our decision though after seeing Dreams!!

Anne, I booked in person today since I'm on vacation in Riviera Maya. They just gave us a copy of our receipt and plugged our date into the computer. I was told our coordinator will contact us now...so I don't think there is a contract?

Sarah, we originally thought August 4th but decided on July 21st. We go tomorrow at 3 pm to secure it so I will take more photos!! I am hoping we can pick our locations tomorrow so we might need to walk around the resort again....awww shucks. haha.

Our goal was to get back there today but it is pouring rain. We actually walked the beach and ended up caught in a horrible rainstorm right in front of dreams and hid in one of their cabanas! Ha. Anyway, it's been raining for 2 days - this scares me for our wedding next summer but we do like their indoor spots for ceremony and reception. I am still hoping to get there later today and will try to get photos of North Beach! Keep ya posted.

We think we definitely want the bamboo arch, but who knows, that could change. As you will see in the videos I am about to post, for my fiance to be impressed is like...HUGE! We're thinking the bamboo arch and then either renting out a restaurant outside [you will see in the video] or doing it on the pool deck. We have clips of all possible locations in the videos. If you watch them from 1-11 they got in order of our tour. We met with Jorge.
