  1. I know right - uncomfortable. And after the whole bridal dress issue, I was like NOPE. Ha ha. funny story. One of the girls STILL hasn't ordered her dress. It's comical really. Could you have one of the other bridesmaids remind her? Does she know the other girls have paid? You can always send out a mass text or FB message if not. Asking In Mexico I think is too much stress on you, you want to be able to relax. Hey - at least one of us is saving money! LOL! You can always give them something really small or even just pick up champagne for the morning of. I am giving my gifts (the robe, dress hanger and card) the night before but my MOH and I are picking up champagne and orange juice for mimosa's for everyone the morning of. It's something small but it might be appreciated!
  2. She sure is! We totally have to go all the way if we chose it, so I totally got her the rose petals hahahaha. Awww. how special it is to have your daughter walk down the aisle.
  3. Yes. In all the weddings I have been to the flower girl and ring bearer always go before.. depends on the wedding I guess. Funny story about that actually... we didn't have really any kids coming at first, but we wanted to include a few people. SO we totally asked our 18 year old nephew and our 30 year old friend to be the ring bearer & flower girl LOL. I can't wait to see peoples reactions. It's going to be funny.
  4. Here is mine, copied and pasted from my excel spreadsheet Minister first Richard(Groom) & his mom Mike Frank Dustin Colin Jon (Best Man) EV Sara Jill Wendy & Sarah (My maid & matron of honor) Anthony & Roz (Ring bearer & flower girl) Me & Mom and Dad and then on the way back, everyone will pair up.
  5. Hey at least you got it narrowed down to 80.00. I was budgeting about 100-120 and now it’s like 200.00. I told the girls I would pay for half of their makeup & hair and everyone forgot (Literally EVERYONE.. except for the one person I am paying all of it for as she is our photographer, Rich’s sister and has been a huge help. Only one who remembered) So I ended up covering it all. I was going to pay for Rich’s mom and my mom and my SIL, which would of only been 3 people but with the other girls sh*tting the bed, I had to cover everyone. And I couldn’t back out, as I had to pay half the deposit up front and then the other half before the wedding. Ugh. Love those girls but yeah, I was a bit disappointed. I am generous for sure but even a difference of a few of the girls paying the other half of their makeup and hair would of made a difference when I am living pay check to pay check paying for the remainder of the wedding  Oh well. That is life. I’m over it even though I typed all of that up there ha ha. However, I did make a lot of stuff, which I can’t wait to share with all of you guys when I post my planning thread next month. SO I am crafty.. ha ha. Richard got his guys their outfits.. which ended up being 150 each when it came down to it. He bought their pants, shirts and ties. I think he is going to get something small for each of them the day. He was looking at sunglasses though before he decided to get their outfits!
  6. I was wondering about this same questions many months ago when we were initially planning But after talking to my sister in law, who does quite a few destination weddings as a photographer, a lot people either do one or another unless they are loaded, then they go completely over the top. But most of us don’t have millions in our back account  Rich and I chose to do the bubba kegs and a beach bag over doing favors. It just got to be too much. The bubba’s were 6.50 pp after all was said and done, so we were good with that. However, we are printing out thank you cards that will go on everyone’s table setting at the actual reception & we are having a beer seating chart, so that’s kind of a favor in itself (a cheap favor that you can drink! Whoo hoo) As far as gifts, I paid for everyone’s makeup & hair ( bridesmaids, parents and what not) and got them a rollerball perfume, as well as a robe. I kind of went over the top with my gifts (ended up spending 200 pp pretty much for 8 people.. ) so take my advice and don’t go that route. Not that I don’t appreciate my bridesmaids and mom and mother in law & family but it got expensive REAL quick. Originally they were supposed to pay half for their hair but that went out the window.. so take my advice. Cause this is where we blew our budget.
  7. LOL!!!! I am laughing because when I have to bring up some decisions, I wait till we have to go on a car ride too. Then he can't walk away and has to answer! Great minds think alike!
  8. They are. I am extremely happy with them, just have to finish putting them on all of our bubba kegs. I'll take a picture tonight of how they look
  9. That's we figured. We could of went through discount mugs or got ones personalized but honestly, people will use them more if they aren't personalized. So we got waterproof stickers (as I mentioned on your other thread) so people can removed them after. I have attached which ones we got to this email
  10. Oh it's most definitely snowing here. Get this. It was 25 celcius on Sunday (77 F for you) and then snowing and snowfall warnings Monday, Tuesday and now today. However, I love it here - we get Chinooks in the winter and you can't beat being 40 minutes away from the mountains. HOWEVER... I most definitely am excited for Mexico! We leave in 56 days!
  11. I am just on a roll with responding today LOL. (it's snowing here in Calgary and I am unmotivated to say the least at work) We are having my bachelorette at the resort actually - Quite a few of my friends live far away (Vancouver, Northern Alberta, England) so if I had one here, it would be #1 people who weren't invited to the wedding or who aren't coming, which I don't think is right or #2 barely anyone there. The bridesmaids and friends that I do have here are insanely busy, so trying to find a weekend that works for everyone was hellish - we just decided to forgo the one here and have one there. We were going to go off the resort but the last group of people arrive on the Sunday(Nov 9) and our wedding is on the 11th, so we are doing a later a la carte for all of us women and then just drinking at the resort bars and moving our way to the disco. Honestly, when it came down to it, I didn't want to have to ask my guests to shell out more money to take me out drinking (or even go to Coco Bongo's) when they were already spending quite a bit. So the resort works for me. However, we are headed to Coco bongo's on the Friday before for my FI's birthday - this way, people aren't obligated to come Another thing to think of and I am sure it's rare HOWEVER it happened when we were in Mexico last. Group bachelor and bachelorette party went to PDC to Coco Bongo's. Had a great time. Groom went on the street in PDC drunk with a drink in his hand, not thinking (they should of caught him at the door). Anyway - he got thrown into jail two days before the wedding. Trust me, it was like a soap opera hearing everyone talk about it while we were enjoying our cappuccino's that morning. Once again, rare but it did for this guy. Needless to say, his parents and the bride were NOT impressed. They posted bail, he got out, all was good but yeah.
  12. Good luck! We will miss your friendly face around here, offering advice and what not Wishing you a speedy recovery and a lot of rest. Sending good and positive vibes your way!!

Most likely "I got you" by Jack Johnson Exit - Danza Kuduro - Don Omar First Dance - This years love - David Grey
  14. if it helps, we were humming and hawing and then decided to forgo getting favors for people and just putting that money into the mugs. The OOT bags are a really great idea but for a lot of guests, they bring a lot of the stuff already, so we just took more things out of our OOT bag put that budget into the mugs. So things like hangover remedy, Tylenol and such we took out but kept playing cards, Kleenex, bobby pins etc in. I ended up ordering 46 mugs actualluy Item Details 1 x bubba 34 oz travel mug classic navy - $9.98 8 x bubba 20 oz mug classic plum -$55.84 8 x bubba 20 oz mug classic black -$55.84 6 x bubba 20 oz mug classic navy blue - $41.88 8 x bubba 20 oz mug classic pink - $55.84 3 x bubba 34 oz travel mug classic black -$29.94 8 x bubba 20 oz mug classic green - $55.84 3 x bubba 34 oz travel mug realtree camouflage -$32.94 Subtotal: $338.10 Coupon Code (BUBBA15OFF): -$50.85 Shipping: $4.99 Grand Total: $292.24 As you can see, the fiancé ended up getting 6 larger one's for his groomsmen and we were still under 300 for 45 mugs. The coupon code and what not really helps out
  15. They definitely are. We travel quite a bit and have taken dollar store tumblers (which have broken for us BTW.. worth it to spend a little extra for yourself and get a better made one if you choose to go that route in my opinion) and tumblers we bought at Canadian tire. This last time we took bubba's and now I am wondering why I ever took anything else. Kept my margarita cold and the ice from melting for HOURS. And we went during high season (we don't usually) so it sure made a difference when there was a long line up at the beach bar. We got ours from the official bubba site. It's an American site and they ship to Canada but the shipping to Canada is ridicously expensive, so we had it shipped to our PO box in the states and just picked them up. However - a lot of people on here wait till they go on sale at Canadian tire (I believe they get down to 5.95 or 6.95 down from 15.00) and buy. Only thing there is you can't be picky with colors, where as we were able to choose all the colors online (Pink, purple, orange, blue, red, green etc) for 5.95 a piece, plus since we ordered so many, we got a bulk discount Sure helped with the costs! here is the website: http://www.shopbubba.com/ : You can get straws for the bubba's BTW.
  16. Is anyone else doing it? I am for sure.. my parents are pretty traditional and I think would be upset if we didn't, even though we paid for Mexico on our own. I've read posts about being forgoing it and not doing any.. just would be interested if anyone else is doing speeches. We're doing the usual introduce the bridal party, housekeeping stuff and then the typical speeches. Even though we have a group of 53, I still think it's a nice thing to recognize others.
  17. I like mugs because they are easier to hold. I've taken both on all of our trips and with carrying everything, it's easier to hold a mug in my opinion. I may have a lot of them but I like the handle for a reason also I am able to clip on my room key holder onto the handle and what not. And hold it when I am sitting in the ocean drinking away. Are you located in the states or Canada? How much are you looking to spend on a mug per person? Edit: Just saw you are in Canada. I should read better!
  18. We got bubba kegs for all of our guests except for the kids, which we got tumblers for. They were more than reasonable when you order them online. You could always get mugs for the guys and one's with straws for the women. If someone wants one that bad, they can switch. We did that with colors for our bubba's. All in all depends on how many guests you have and how much you want to spend.
  19. Love the colors!!! Mine are so boring. Just plain white. Haha I suck.
  20. I feel you on the moments. I had a whole sh*tload of stress as a few of you know (bridesmaid drama, family drama.. oh and then one brother in law tried punching the other one at our family shower.. cue circus music) I felt like such a b*tch for about one month and I was stressed, Rich was stressed and we argued almost every second day. It got to be too much with the drama and wedding stuff. But we have all been there like you said. and it will calm down. Rich and I live together too but I took off on a girls trip with my mom in Montana for a few days, so we had really limited contact. I think even closer to the wedding, I am going to go visit some girlfriends in Edmonton for a few days just to give him and I a breather, cause you know how stressful it is leading up. You could even get away just for a night.. it really helps. We are now less than two months and things are so chill right now (hoping I am not jinxing it) so hopefully it gets that way for you.
  21. Rich and I had a tiff the other day as he feels like he was carrying the weight of everything when really it was even. All I can say is getting away for a few days really helped me and our relationship. With all the wedding stress going on, it was good for us to take a few days break and just miss each other. Anyway - hope it gets better
  22. My cousin in law got married at Martoca Beach Gardens.. check them out, they were amazing for their wedding! I didn't go but my sister in law was their wedding photographer and said it was one of the best weddings she had been to.
  23. I massed fb'd people and reminded them at our stag & doe family thing in August. I'm sure some people got annoyed but would be the same people who would of forgot. Everyone is paid up except for a few people booking on their own. We are at 53 people and my fiancé is the same.. oh it will all get done, you have tons of time.. then when October hits he will be like oh sh*t oh sh*t. MEN
