  1. Good job! I also enlisted the help of my fiance as I was having trouble pulling the dowels off my hangers myself.
  2. I like the silver ones. No, they don't have colour, but would hive you that 'pop' of sparkle.
  3. Looks good! Great job, I look forward to seeing it attached to the hanger. Are you making others?
  4. I didn't use one in particular, just spent some time looking around at the lettering I liked best then mixed and matched letters from different etsy sellers until I came up with something I liked. I would encourage you to make a template as I did on page 1 of this tutorial, then you can just follow the template for sizing and lettering. If you'd like to see any close up pictures of the hangers I've done I can post them and you can follow them. I just kept it generic and used titles rather than names though, I found this easier than trying to figure out how I was going to spell each name.
  5. Hello ladies, I will be getting married at RIU Palace Punta Cana March 5th, I actually met with the wc when my FI and I did a site visit this past March. If you have any questions I'd be happy to help, just PM me. I can forward the pictures I've been sent for flower and cake options. As far as I'm aware all of the linens are included in the wedding package. This thread http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/71891/riu-palace-punta-cana-steakhouse-reception#post_1787457 has some pictures of the reception set up at the steakhouse. If you're curious what the resort looks like my FI and I also made some video tours of the resort.
  6. I think we are doing travel mugs (bubba keg style) and luggage tags because I know for sure they'll get used. We'll probably give them out before our departure.
  7. Wellthen02, my FI and I did a site visit this past March, bugs were not an issue at all. I'd say save your money.
  8. So the weirdest thing happened last week. I dragged my FI to Le Chateau last week because I was looking for my wedding shoes...he found these fuchsia dress shirts on sale and said "what if the guys wear these shirts, with a white tie and grey suits??" I was flabbergasted because this is the first time he's showed any interest what the 'guys' will be wearing. It looks pretty sharp. The guys will be wearing the shirt ties and dark grey pants and the FI will wear the matching vest. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163559/width/350/height/700[/img]
  9. Got mine from Le Chateau last week on sale http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163495/width/500/height/1000[/img]
  10. I bought my shoes last week from Le Chateau, I had to go with flat sandals so I'm not taller than my FI, but they also had the same shoe with a 1 inch wedge heel. I love that they are dressy enough and have the being I've been looking for! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163491/width/500/height/1000[/img]
  11. Ladies, check out my tutorial to make your own http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/80563/diy-wedding-dress-hanger-tutorial If you like to diy, make it how YOU want. I had fun making my own!
  12. I just got a pair of starfish earrings in the mail today that I ordered on ebay for less than $3 plus free shipping. I won't wear them for the wedding, but during the week. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163480/width/350/height/700[/img]
  13. Here is a close up of a 't' http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163169/width/500/height/1000[/img] I'll try to explain the best I can. #1. Bend the wire up #2. At the top bend the wire back and down so it's behind #3. About 1/3 of the way down bend the wire to the right, this will still be behind #4. The next step is to bend the wire forward, towards you, then left so it crosses the middle #5. At the same distance on the other side bend the wire back, behind, and to the right #6. When you reach the middle bend the wire down, behind step #1 #7. Last step, at the bottom of the t bend the wire to the right then onto your next letter. Take your time and practice a few times on some scrap wire. Good luck!
  14. I like dress #2, the sweetheart neckline is so flattering. I never had a this is 'the dress' feeling, and I too was tempted to ask my fiancé, I ending up ordering the dress I thought I liked, but couldn't stop thinking about another one. The next day I called the store before the order had been sent out and ordered the dress I couldn't get off my mind. If you don't have a 'this is my dress feeling', go with your gut, it 's always right...even if it's different than all of our favorite.
