  1. Thats a pretty good idea! i like the singing for the supper for our welcome buffet dinner and the interesting fact game!
  2. we are paying 328 I believe for a couple per night. Some of my guests went through a travel agent and were able to get it down to 300 a night. It makes me angry that Hard Rock won't match that rate but they still haven't agreed to, although I am going to keep bugging them. 200 a night for a couple is excellent so good for you for getting it that cheap, i really didn't look anywhere but Hard Rock, i knew that if I did a destination thats what i wanted so I didn't price shop...probably should have lol but too late now. I'm still pretty happy becuase we have 46 guests booked so far and are only 6 room nights away from unlimited free events and we haven't even sent out our invitations! they go out this week! P.S. I highly recommend memories of today for invitations. Thao does an excellent job! I am in love with my invitations!!! Boarding Pass Invite Proof1.pdf
  3. Hey I just wanted to see if you were doing a group wedding package, our prices are much cheaper per couple per night so I don't want you to be getting screwed Jakeypoo! let me know if you need the info to get it cheaper if thats what your actually paying! Granted I am getting married there in December so it may be cheaper because of the timing... also one of the the contacts for the hard rock wedding department is [email protected]. Let me know if theres anything else I can help with!
  4. hey ladies, found this on some other forum. http://www.creativepuntacana.com/ This is the group that does the decorating for Hard Rock. I am doing the Red Lounge for my wedding reception. Check out the website to see what you all want and let your planner know totally helpful!
  5. HI Jenna, If you go on facebook onto the hard rock punta cana page they have pictures of a wedding in the gazebo! Hope that helps!-B
  6. o and that includes her caligraphy on the front of the envelopes with each guests name and address!
  7. Thanks for all the info! I am getting mine done for me and am paying 7.25 per invite, that includes two boarding passes with the info on it and invitation, a ticket jacket, raffia cord and a post card rsvp card. Does that sound reasonable? I think its pretty expensive to be honest but haven't really found cheaper that I like...the sample she sent to me of mine was really nice but 7.25 a person just makes me kinda sick! lol!
  8. Thanks guys! I got my sample invite yesterday and it looks great, the only things I think I will change is taking the gold(yellow) out completely. I think black will be fine and on the front purple instead of yellow Thanks for all of your help! AcutieRN I just signed up as a supporter and paid for it rather than waiting to get to 150...o well!
  9. The mustardy yellow color will actually be gold and my colors are red gold and purple
  10. Hi lovely destination brides, I have been in contact with Thao from Memories of Today! She does excellent work and I had her design me a boarding pass invite. Let me know your thoughts? Boarding Pass Invite Proof1.pdf
  11. absolutely beautiful idea! I love the dress and the story behind it! i'm sure you will look amazing!
  12. Thanks AAHQ I am super excited! I'll keep ya posted! One good thing I did notice by waiting is that Jet blue has a direct from boston to punta cana so those who waited are able to fly direct
  13. Thanks for the info on Tropical Storm! I was looking into that and now I know to stick with La Barcaza
  14. Well we are officially 7 months out and alot of people are still in need of booking so I guess I will see who pays more, those who booked earlier or those who wait 36 booked so far!
  15. I ordered the shoes from alibaba.com. They have tons of stuff like that... That is the link directly to their store. The only problem that I found is that the Rhinestones got stuck to my dress. My aunt said I need to have them shellacked...(no idea what it is or how its spelled) I think its a spray that they put on the shoe so it doesn't stick to the dress. and the tiny lil rhinestones may fall off because there are so many of them but they give you replacement ones, tons of them, and you honestly can not tell that a few have fallen off because they are so super sparkly to begin with. And I really think they fell off because the dress was pulling o it when I tried them on and getting stuck to them. So hopefully the "shellacking" will make that stop. The big Rhinestones are sewed on so they aren't going anywhere. I think they are great for the price and they came in within a week of me ordering them from China. Also they are very responsive which is helpful! I absolutely adore them! Yes they are true to size. I am between a 7 and 7.5 in every shoe so I ordered a 7.5 and it is a tiny bit big like they always are for me. THEY ARE SUPER COMFY!
  16. Thanks for all the pics! I love the dresses that I have seen on here! I ordered a knock off Maggie for my church ceremony, however, I just saw that a bride is selling a brand new one half off because it doesn't fit her...trying to decide if it is worth the 850 to have a dress that I know is going to come in perfect, or take my chances with the knock off. I ordered shoes from China that are knock offs and they arrived today, they are super comfy and absolutely gorgeous!
  17. Hi, My plan is to be barefoot (maybe some feet jewels) on the beach, and then to wear heels for the first dance and reception. I used to work at a bridal salon and am wearing a ball gown so for the beach I will just put a tulle skirt underneath which will raise the skirt up enough to be barefoot and then when I take that out from under my dress the dress will fall long enough to wear heels and look right. Check out my heels, they just arrived today!!!
  18. O good point! maybe I will mention it as a passing thought idea so that I can see their interest but still surprise them with it if I do it. <3
  19. Thanks Lesee I agree. O aahq45, that is awful! I really dont see prices going down unfortunately...i would probably book now...unfortunately...ugh I fell your pain, we bought a house in 2008 before the real estate crash so we paid like double what we woulda paid like five months later...not a wedding but still understand...its all a risk, i'd say book when you feel comfortable ugh I hate how much weddings cost!
