I'm in the same boat right now. I'm just worried about losing money if all the rooms don't get filled. Plus the date they gave us is just like a month away and I feel like most guests wait until the last couple months to book. I just feel bad because I really want to get people the best rate possible.

Thanks for the help girls. I would love that link when ever you get a chance! I did insanity for like 2 weeks but I definitely couldn't do it every day! Like you said I would start dying right after the "warm -up" lol Plus I don't have the whole "program" my friend let me borrow the CD with the workouts but never explained to me everything else. I would just love to lose like 10 pounds but more importantly tighten up. I see a lot of wiggling going on....more than I ever remember lol So if I could control that I would be a happy girl! I'm not real caught up in weight, I just like to feel good. Right now I don't feel like I would be comfortable in a bikini or in a dress! lol

Hey everyone....tried to read through this thread but it is loooong. Where is the best place to get the full program for a good price? Has anyone tried Insanity? Is PX better!

I love my TA. He can be a little slow with his responses but he is a cop too so I try to be understanding. He has been a TA for 11 years and I feel like he really knows his stuff. I LOVED Paradisus Palma Real but the prices were just too ridiculous! I couldn't do that to my guests and then I still would pay an arm and a leg. I feel like RIU was a good second choice b/c it is big and beautiful and has a WOW factor for your guests to feel like they are some where SPECIAL! My TA agreed with me he never mentioned Paradisus because he felt like their prices are just too much. Hope that helps! Best of luck planning! If you want my TAs info I will PM you.

We stayed at RIU Naiboa....BIG MISTAKE!! but we were trying to save money as we checked out other resorts! RIU Palace is amazing!! so beautiful!!!!!

May 15th was going to be my next choice! I really wanted 4/21/12 but there was already 2 weddings scheduled! Let me know if I can help you at all. I have tried to do a lot of research and I visited Punta Cana the first week of May this year!

You are so sweet! My plan is to have the invitations as boarding passes, the reply cards as luggage tags and also include a 3 fold "brochure" with information about Punta cana, the resort, our wedding and direct them to the website! Now it's just making these ideas come true. I have a lot of phone calls to make tomorrrow to see who can help make these without charging me an arm and a leg! lol

UMMM in making them... I mean designing them online! lol I don't have an artistic bone in my body!! I can't draw a straight line and I have no good ideas!

Hey girls. I was just in Punta Cana the first week in May and I took a tour with DPB and met with a WC since this was one of my top pics. I think I might have a picture of their current beach gazebo ...i think it was small. They didn't mention anything to me about a new one being built. But I have to be honest I didn't like the woman showing us around. So she could have just forgotten to mention it

Wow you are super organized! I wish I could be more like you! lol Decisions are very difficult for me. I think I'm going to go right to the invites and send them out in the next week or so! Letluva....How did you get into with your priest and confirm the tiem and date? I just got confirmed for RIU palace punta cana april 20, 2012. They said I was confirmed for a religious ceremony with an english speaking priest but thats all. It's super important to me that this works out! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I really had a tough time choosing between DPB and RIU! So I'm still going to check this thread! You girls are so helpful!! lol Happy planning everyone!!!

Hi beachbum....Congrats! I just became a April 2012 bride too! I'm booked April 20th at the RIU Palace Punta Cana!!! So excited! So here is my first real question....is it bad taste or tacky not to send STDs and go right to the invitations? I just figured we already have rooms blocked off and our TA has the rates so might as well have guests start booking! right? I need some advice or suggestions. Thanks girls!!

I get it now! lol I wanted April 21st 2012, however they already have a a 4pm and 6pm wedding Sadly I'm not the best decision maker so it took me almost 6 months of research to pick RIU and that date!! lol So I'm just devastated lol A little dramatic I know. I really kinda like Friday April 20th....420 of course...pot smoking day ...but whatever I'm ok with it! However my FH is not! Not sure what our next move will be ....but whatever it is we have to move fast!! Thanks again for the help!
