Hey DRwedgal, I met with the owner of http://www.bloombridal.com/ the flowers look amazing! The quality of the flowers is very good, the colour of the flowers look realistic. She is based out of Toronto so you can always meet with her to see some samples or have some bouts sent to you. I will be ordering my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, and bouts from her.

@MsClarke - my aunt tried to find a group rate with belair travel and found an amazing price that no other company could match...I think it was something like $1170 (with a group of 11 couples). This rate was quoted for November 23rd 2011 departure from Toronto (YYZ). I'm not sure where you're flying out from but check their prices, good luck!

Welcome Cathy! They have been taking longer than usual because this is their busy season (I think), and also one of the WC's there, Yessica (My coordinator) went on maternity leave, so they are directing all of her emails to other coordinators. If you really can't wait, you can try calling them.

Hello ladies, How far in advance did you order your real-touch bouquets? Can any Canadian brides (or specifically Toronto brides) recommend any stores in the area where I can see a sample of the real-touch flowers?

Sorry to hear about all the problems you're having I don't think you're overreacting, it's SOO frustrating to not be able to contact the person planning your wedding. Hang in there! I hope everything works out!!

I don't have answers to all your questions but here's what I have read. When you arrive at your room you should have a letter from your WC waiting for you indicating when and where to meet her to discuss your wedding. I'm not sure of the most convenient way to pay, but make sure you keep a receipt for EVERYTHING you purchase from them. I have heard stories where some resorts try to charge people for things they have already paid for. I read somewhere that someone tipped their WC $100. I'm actually not sure if this is too much or too little. I was thinking its a bit much. Anyone else? I believe if you do not hire a DJ and would just like to play music through you IPOD you will have to rent the sound system from them. The Dreams website lists the cost for renting. Hope this helps!

My MIL is concerned that linen will wrinkle too easily and it will look funny in our pictures. Can anyone attest to this? I've seen the pictures on this thread and the suits look great in them, but how are they up close?

$20 per chair is ridiculous! I will be using their white chair covers, will be buying my chair sashes from here for less than $1/piece (hopefully!), and using buckles to tie them (instead of bows).

They recently changed their policy. Before you did have to pay a day pass, but I THINK they eliminated that and outside photographers are allowed on premise for free. The photographer will be there while I'm getting ready, the ceremony, and after the ceremony. We are also planning on having a TTD session which will take place the day after. They photographer will not be there for the reception. You may be able to have them stay for an extra fee, but I will not be doing that. Hope that helps!

Hi Ladies! I'm thinking about getting mini cooler bags for my OOT bags, this way guests could put some ice in it and keep their drinks cold while on the beach. Still looking to find cheap bags to have my monogram printed though. Anyone have any ideas, preferably in Toronto or a company that ships to Canada. It will look something like this though.

I'm thinking of transporting glass vases down to DR also...I figured if I give one to each member of my family (+2 extras just incase) it should be o.k. You MIGHT be able to find some at the shops there, but if you don't have have to rent from the resort it may get pricey. Try asking your WC how much renting the vases would be. Let me know how you decide to do it. I'm planning on a lot of newspaper wrapped around it, I hope that will be enough

Sorry Tink. I had booked prior to March 16, (actually I booked in January) and was angry that I was asked to cancel. It really is unfortunate for those who has not booked before that date, but don't give up! If you are on Facebook, send your concerns to Irma, or post it directly on the web page. If there is enough pressure they may change their policy. Sorry it wasn't better news

Irma Dreams-Concierge Facebook friends to answer your concerns regarding external photographers on property the following is applicable as of March 16th: 1-All guests are permitted to bring an external photographer if this photographer is from an oversees compan...y and a registered guest staying at the hotel. 2- No local external photographers are permitted on premises booked after March 16th. So for those guests that have contracted a photographers prior to March 16th, they will be allowed on property. I hope this answers everyone's question! I also hope they inform their wedding coordinators of this information!

SHE IS CONFIRMING WITH CORP OFFICE THEN WILL POST OF FACEBOOK THE RESULTS. SHE IS NOT AWARE OF SUCH TALK OR EMAIL SENT TO ANY BRIDES! YAY! HOPEFULLY we will hear good news soon!!
