Here's mine! I'm thinking of removing the krynalin at the bottom, but haven't quite decided yet. I love the shape and how it feels. Some days I like the krynalin, some days I don't....

I'm also getting married on Feb 2012! I got my dress at Ethos on 17th ave for $600. Not too shabby as my budget was $500 also. They said that it was going to take 6 months to get in and I ordered it back in March, so I should be getting it by the end of the summer. I think I'm going to have the krynalin from the bottom of the dress removed, but I haven't decided yet....

I've ordered a ton of stuff from Beyond the Rack! Only downside is that it takes anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to get your stuff. But, awesome deals!

Ok, how about this? We are excited that you and your family can join us! During the adult ceremony and reception, we have arranged for child care at the resort such that the children can have their own celebration. Please RSVP for the adults in your party only. What do you guys think? Is the last part Jerk-ish?

I like the "During the adult ceremony and reception..." part. That sounds a bit nicer for sure.

Hey ladies, I'm getting married at a family friendly resort as we have a lot of guests who have small children and probably don't want to leave them behind for a week. That said, I don't want children at the ceremony, nor the reception, and my fiance and I are going to pay for babysitting services for that evening. However, I have no clue how I word that on the RSVP cards. I was thinking something along the lines of: "Your children are welcome to join us for the week, however for the ceremony and the reception, we will provide babysitting services for your children for the evening". I don't know how to say it such that I don't sound like a complete jerk.

Hey everyone, I just got back from a trip to China and one of the things to buy while there is genuine pearls. I bought a necklace and bracelet for each of my bridesmaids to wear at the wedding. Do you think that I could use the pearls to also double as the bridesmaid gift? Sort of kill two birds with one stone? What's the normal amount that you'd spend on gifts for a bridal party anyway? Hey guys, Have any of you ever had to get a deposit back from Palace Resorts? I put one down for Isla Mujeres, but now my wedding is getting a bit too big, so I'll have to move to a larger venue. Hey ladies, I plan on being married in Mexico on Wednesday, Feb 29th, 2012 @ Isla Mujeres Palace. I've got a quick question for anyone who's already planned their travel. I understand that for civil weddings in Mexico, you have to be there three business days before your wedding (Saturdays count). However, can the day of your wedding count as the third day? Or do you have to be there for three business day and technically get married on the fourth? The reason I'm asking is that my travel agent told me that I'd be able to either fly out of Calgary on Feb 26th (Sunday) or out of Toronto on Feb 24th. If we have to get married on the "fourth" business day, I'll have to fly out of Toronto which is a pain because I live in Calgary. I just wanted to see what some of you did for your travel planning, or what information you've gathered from your resorts. I have emailed the resort to ask them directly about my situation, but wanted to hear about what you guys have experienced/heard. Thanks so much, Paula

Hello ladies! I'm also a Calgary bride! I'll be getting married in Mexico on Feb 29th, 2012. I'm so pumped to find this thread! P

I too have IBS and have been through countless tests, and the doctors have never found anything. I find that gluten, dairy, caffiene and processed foods really aggravate it. When I have an "epidose", I usually stick to things like bananas, apple sauce, plain rice, etc. until the pain goes away. If it's really bad, you can have the doctor prescribe something called an antispasmodic to help with the cramps and the pain. However, it sounds like you're gettting better! That's great!

Which Palace resort are you getting married at?

I just got my wedding contract for Isla Mujeres Palace Resort and it explicitly says that there's no outside vendors allowed, so I was worried about not being able to bring my photographer. However, seeing some of the responses, it doesn't seem like a big deal. Interestingly enough, I was going to post a new thread asking this very same question. Anyone have an issue at Isla Mujeres?
