  1. Hello Uhaft!! of course they have rooms for changing!! I usually shot early in the morning because the Cenote can became crowded, yes. the Lighting is perfect, also in the morning, is the best time for me. thanks! Gonzalo
  2. yesss!! it is real!! I am proud of that image!!! thank you 780chick!! you really did the hard work!!
  3. Hello TauruSmith! time of the year, for Mexico for example. there are some point to take into account: 1. do you want a good weather. high season? low seasson? 2. best deals? do you mind that? 1. the best weather in Riviera Maya would be in February, March, I think the beaches are not full, and the weather is good, on the day you can go to the beach and at night you can user a light sweter. April to August is high season, it is hot, hot, during day and night, but is the most popular time, during April and May everything is full of tourists. 2. best deals? I think if you want to take best deals, you can come in August or September, may be is matter of luck, you can get 50% of chances of raining.. .the weather is very nice, not hot at all, and you will get for sure a better deal for being low seasson. I would choose this time for my wedding in my personal opinion. good luck with planning! Gonzalo
  4. Hello Jennifer!! I have seen kid friendly resorts (and popular between brides) Now Jade, Now Sapphire, Palace resorts (these are coming to my mind now), there are many and great ones, the resorts I like for the nicer beaches are close to Playa del Carmen or Tulum, Dreams Tulum is a good example of that also... good luck! Gonzalo
  5. hey Hilee!! congrats and welcome!! I am very familiarized with the area. 1. the Mexico you heard about is in the North. Cancun and Riviera Maya is super-safe. or well, no more dangerous than going to another city in the rest of the world. the resort is more than super safe, would be super-super safe I am around all the time, and I never saw nothing unusual.. 2. I have a friend, you can have a great deal with her!! http://www.yapanow.com/ her name is Edwina, she is a TA. I think that you would get a good deal in this way. 3. I cannot help you here, but I can tell you that glam wedding in the beach, looks great!! good luck! Gonzalo
  6. I can just speak for my experience. Brides that have a destination wedding, may be the 70% of them, have a little reception for friends that couldn't make it. may be nothing big, a dinner, little party, where they show the experience they lived back in Mexico. Usually this dinner is one to two months after the destination wedding. good luck!! Gonzalo
  7. Hello Cortney!! Playa del Carmen is a great option for your destination wedding. Usually all the Riviera Maya photographers goes around all the zone. I live in Cancun for example, and I travel all the Riviera, it is 2 hours from beginning to end. The resorts photographers are a good option, but usually they work by the book. you might want hire an external to get the most of your photos. You can cut the resort photographer from the package, or if you don't have that option, leave them as a second view, but talk to them, you don't want them in your photos of the principal photographer. good luck with the planning!! Gonzalo
  8. congrats!! I have seen them just 2 in more than 400 weddings, they looks great, I really like them, I think that your bridesmaid would use natural flowers, and you too (for some moments), this bouquet could be a little bit heavy, you might want to use some natural flowers for some shoots. Good luck! Gonzalo
  9. Hello Cwhite! one friend of mine got a good deal at Grand Sirenis in Riviera Maya. Also in the Hotel zone in Cancun there are some good hotels. good luck with the plannign! Gonzalo

  17. Your wedding, the most important day of your life... wanna make it even more special and unique? Trash your dress girl! If you are reading this, is because you might have doubts about it, so, lets turn those doubts in to realities. Fisrt of all, why trashing the dress? Months of planning and preparation for one single day, give it the best closure ever and celebrate by trashing your dress! that will give you the chance to use it again, but this time doing the craziest things that you can imagine! without worring about ruin it and of course making great photographs of it! how cool is that!? For example, if you are having one of those beautyful beach destination weddings, picture your self kissing the love of your life in your wedding dress with half of your body inside the sea, or both of you holding hands while exploring the jungle all dirty and happy, or what about those amazing pictures under the water looking like a beautyful marmaid bride... thousands of ways to reflect your love as a couple and your personality. But dont forget to look for a great wedding photographer that can make all your ideas become true. So now you can choose between using your wedding dress once, then send it to the dry cleaner, then wrap it in to a plastic bag to put it your closet, and later send it to your storage to end up in a box for more than twenty years, to give it to your daughter (if you have one) who, in the best of the cases might want to use it, or, using it for your wedding, then using it again the next day, but with sun glasses on or tennis shoes and then jump in to the watter or lay in to the sand or just dance under the rain while showing your husband how happy and compromise you are with him, that after your wedding day you will never need to use that dress again. Give the best use to your wedding dress and make it worth way more than its cost, also if you are having a destination wedding take advantage of the place and make great photographs in all those scenaries that wedding destinations have to offer. So don't wait longer and start looking for a great wedding photographer, to make al those dream ideas in to portraits, that same as love, will remain for the rest of your life. Congratulations on your engagement! more articles in my blog: wedding photography blog
