Hey Michelle-2! Definitely make the best decision for you! I originally wanted to get married in October (it would've been last month if I would've stuck to that plan)..then I remembered that it was hurricane season..and since I live in Houston, I am AFRAID of the aftermath of hurricanes. My advice would be to take everything into consideration and do what is best for you and your family. One good thing if you wait until October- you'll have a ton of advice from all of us brides who will be married by then!!

I am DEAD serious Bran! But it would be a weird flight. For instance: I'd have to fly out of Houston to Jersey..and then from Jersey to Turks..and with the layover it would be a 15 hour trip. So I'll take my flight from Houston to Miami, to Miami from Turks any day!

Come on Brandy and Michelle! I like saying the weeks better! It really puts everything into perspective...as of tomorrow, I will have exactly 16 weeks before I leave. By the way,since United purchased Continental-- Continental now flies to Turks. With that said, I could've purchased my tickets to Turks for $82! My fiance and I have a ton of OnePass miles since Continental's hub is in Houston. Anyway, it still worked out the way it was supposed to. We'll use the miles for something else.

Hey Michelle! It's good to hear from you. I'm only having a few guests as well...so that part is super easy! OOT bags, luggage tags, contents for the OOT bags are just about completed (minus the welcome book). Yes, I bought a dress sometime this summer. I can't remember when. It was a dress that was in last season, so I got a really good deal..and I only had to wait 6-8 weeks for it to come in. Try to relax and make a list of all the things that you need to do. Depending on what type of dress you want, I say look EVERYWHERE. Places you never thought of! A lot of girls on here have found cute dresses on J. Crew, David's Bridal (Jerri-Lee) or have worn a bridesmaid dress (in white of course)!

Hi Jordana, I'm sure that the excitement is kicking in for you!! As far as flowers, I think you should follow LizzDee's advice and take a long at the flowers forum. Personally, I'm going with real touch flowers as well. Have you checked out etsy.com? Also, ask around in your town to see if you know of anyone who can make them for you. My colleague is actually making my flowers for me. I will try to post a pic.

Wow!! It is 4 months from today! How's your planning going? I'm only expecting 8 guests, so a lot of my focus is on the huge AHR that we're having...but I have purchased my OOT bags and some of the contents. I have to work on the Welcome Books, the Wedding Survival Kit label, key card holders and that's about it. For the AHR we're inviting 150 guests and it will be somewhat formal. I'm sending boarding pass invites for that--to stick with the DW theme.

Welcome kimberlyg! I think we all understand about the photographers that they have. A few of us have booked Tropical Imaging to do our photos off-site, after the wedding.
