  2. Thanks Breeze! Eholt: It's towards the right hand side of the website. They don't offer all the same colors and options, but you should check it out if you need more. I got 66 rose petal cups for $60. The ones I originally wanted would have been over $100. They are also having a 30% sale now as well. I'm using them for the aisle and decorating my tables (guest, cake and our sweetheart table). So I need a lot.
  3. I received my 66 cups of the Budget Bride (slightly imperfect) petals last night and they look great. I ended up ordering another 66 cups just because I think I need a lot more than what I originally ordered. They smell wonderful by the way!
  4. Yes, I sent her a 50% deposit by MoneyGram based and other bride's experiences with her and faith that she will honor her agreement.
  5. Brandyshaunta: From other threads, the brides said the sand got messed up on the way home. That is the reason I am not incorporating that aspect into my ceremony. One bride did "recreate" the ceremony, once they got home though so it looked nice again.

  7. I'm biased, my colors are shades of pink and white. LOL I think most bright colors will go with Oasis such as fuchsia, bright orange, etc.
  8. Chan porty, We are doing a hand ceremony, but I agree with Marlena, it will beautiful regardless of what you decide just based on the setting alone. My two cents is that it's a wedding not a show. Do what you want and don't worry about the guests being bored. LOL
  9. Mrsgreene, If you know which restaurant you will use, include the meal options on your RSVP card. I just started asking my guests for their meal selections now and asked Nicole when I should send her that info. I also asked her what is the best way to let the waitstaff know, who ordered what. When I hear back from her I will let you know. Anyone else have any suggestions on the easiest way to let the wait staff know who ordered what?
  10. For those planning on doing a TTD, have you decided where you are taking your pictures? I want to go off the resort and preferably to a waterfall, but I don't even know if there are any nearby that are not located in Ocho Rios. All help/suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

  12. I am using freeze dried flowers as well and ordered mine from flyboynaturals.com. If I remember correctly, i read somewhere on this thread that the freeze dried petals had no problems getting through customs. Please let me know if you learn otherwise. Thanks!

  16. Jonesr1979, Congrats on your wedding and thanks for posting your review. Can you please let me know if you had to pay to put a dance floor in Calabash? I saw Nicole's response to PintSize that it was an additional $400 and up! Can anyone else comment on this as well? Thanks!
  17. I have had a hard time getting responses from JodiAnn at TaiFlora and Nicole as well (and I am less than 90 days out!). Rashel was pretty quick with her responses and I emailed her directly. I did receive a catalog from Jodi-Ann with arrangement ideas that perhaps will help, please send me your email address and I can forward it that way (the file is too large for the site and won't let me attach it). By the way, Sandra Martin at Flowerstudio was very responsive to my emails and calls, but I just couldn't pay another vendor fee, I'm already paying 3 others and had to go with TaiFlora.

  19. Good question Mrsdeloatch! Marcia did not include the room in her quote (I only found about it from ladies on this board). Also, don't forget that you still need to pay an addl $100 for the vendor fee for her assistant. Has anyone else been asked to cover her room for the night if you are doing the TTD the next day? Last question, what time are you guys starting your TTDs and have you picked your locations?
  20. Welcome to the site! I'm sure that depends on the hotel you have chosen. We chose the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay and you can only have your own music if you privatize a restaurant/location (cost is anywhere from $350-$800 to do that). If you haven't selected your resort yet, you should probably go to the Jamaica forum and read all of the hotel reviews. I chose mine based off of reviews and from my TA. There is so much information on this site, I am sure someone has discussed that before. Best of luck!

GROUP DINNER I would like to have a group dinner for everyone on Wednesday night at 7pm. Can we make a group reservation at the Hibachi restaurant? Do you recommend any other restaurant for that dinner? I will send the request to the Iberostar Beach since it’s on their property but you can choose the Mediterranean, Mexican and Gourmet Restaurant for the rehearsal dinner. Please let us know the amount of guests. Please find enclosed group menu. WELCOME BAGS We have welcome bags for the group Can they be distributed at check-in? It can but sometimes the front desk get busy so might not remember to give to some guests upon arrival. Or can they be delivered to each room (one of my bridesmaids will walk with the bellhop to distribute them). Can you provide a list of each person's room number? Yes we can provide you with a rooming list WEDDING ON THE BEACH Will microphones be provided so our guests can hear us? Yes microphones and speakers will be provided If no, what is the price for that? We have chosen the music we want to be played at the wedding. Do we need to have a DJ play the pre-selected music for us? If you have music for the ceremony, with the wedding package a DJ comes with the ceremony. For the reception the cost is $150 per hour. Can we have someone from the hotel play the music for us? Yes Should we bring a CD of the music or can it be played from an IPOD? CDs or ipod which ever works Cocktail Hour Can you please confirm that we receive a FREE cocktail/welcome reception? We do not offer free cocktail. Please find enclosed extra services charged. If YES, I would like to have the cocktail reception in the Lobby Bar following the wedding (location to be confirmed upon our meeting prior to the wedding) How would music work in this location? We have pre-selected our music for this well and will need it to be played from an IPOD (prefer the IPOD) or CD. Reception As stated above, we would like to hold the private reception at Aunt Ruby's and will gladly rent it out. We are bringing lots of decorations with us including paper lanterns. Is wine/beer the only option for alcoholic drinks without paying for open bar? Can your team hang the lanterns (power not required) for us or will TaiFlora have to do that? We could hang the lanterns I will need all of my decorations back after the wedding (we are using them again for our reception at home), how can I make sure this happens? Can someone pick everything up the next morning from you? Yes we will collect the decorations and send them to your room. Do you have a shallow box I can place sand in for my starfish table cards? No I don’t have a shallow box. We have pre-selected music for the reception as well. I am fine with renting a sound system for this. Same question as before, can we use an IPOD? OK Is someone there to MC or will someone from my group have to do it The DJ can introduce the bridal party, announce the dances and cutting of the cake. But for an MC its best if someone from the group can do it, like a good friend that can crack a few jokes now n then to entertain the group. VENDORS As previously discussed, I will have a make-up artist come to the resort and leave after she finishes (she will not stay for the wedding).You stated that I will not have to pay a vendor fee as she is not staying for the wedding. Yes, once she leaves after, no fee. What is the charge for my outside photographer to attend? $100 per person, photographer decides to bring assistant I think you should discuss prices together but its $100 pp If she brings 2 other people with her, how is that price determined? What if only one person stays overnight as a guest instead, will I be charged for her? If the photographer stays on property we will not charge a fee because she is already stating on property.   22. Great information ladies! By the time we are married, we will have been together for 1.5 years and would love to spend some more quality time with just the two of us, but we are both 35 and have no children and both of our clocks are ticking LOUDLY. LOL Ideally we would like 2-3 kids, so we are going to start trying pretty soon after our AHR, so that means August for us. He keeps praying for TWINS! Now that you guys mentioned the 3 month off BC window, that means I may need to reevaluate our timing. It's funny, I have gone my whole adult life making sure I didn't pregnant and now I am trying to figure when to start TTC. It definitely took me awhile to get to that train of thought.   23. Hi everyone, this is such a great idea! My colors are shades of pink and I am looking for fuchsia and/or pink sashes (organza or satin). I need as little as 30 (for the wedding) and as many as 100 (for the AHR). Please let me know if you are willing to part with any of your sashes. I will need them before June 11 and can pass them on after my July 23rd AHR. Thank you!
