  1. SSG Deck is gorgeous, but I want air conditioning so i'm inside. Gosh, its exciting as time is passing by faster.
  2. I got boxes with mine, i'm sure you can get some from packaging places. Or from Sandblast
  3. Bee When you said you rented out the deck.. you didn't opt for the inside of the SSG? Was the outside deck a different price??
  4. OH AGAIN! How was it transporting your bouquets? How was the bus ride to the resort? LOL sorry... just they keep popping into my head.
  5. OH yes, and for your cake, was that the cake for 10 people or did you order the extra pound(s)? I know other brides in the past have said that the cake was more than enough... thank you!
  6. Bee, You are just awesome and so damn beautiful! Seriously, it looked like a bridal magazine! Thank you for sharing, i was so excited when i got the email with your review. I kicked my FI off the computer and made him sit there and read it with me lol... Being a photo snob, he thought your photos were beautiful. My question is as others. Did you get charged to decorate the gazebo and if so how much? I cringed at your story about your centerpieces, can I ask how much they charged for theirs? And all of them were broken in your luggage?? Yikes! I'm definately going to have to rethink this.... But everything looked wonderful and I'm so happy for you!
  7. LOL, oh so this is where it went! I was uploading in another thread and i was having computer issues. Yes, Since i emailed invitations to save time and to book eveyrone on the deal i got, i felt like i should send them something to thank them for coming in lieu of a invitation. I'm sending one of these per household and singles. Some I can hand deliver, and others I will mail. I will do my invitations to others who have not confirmed, or cannot confirm in the new year. I did it all myself. I'm a graphic designer by trade and I used my color printer. (also my dad is a printer) I ordered plastic bottles not glass (because shippint would have killed me both ways) and they came with the cork. Overall it was pretty easy... I "borrowed" the wording from another bride on this forum because the wording was simple and to the point. It was fairly easy, just needed to sit down and do them. I considered bringing them to the islands to include in OOT bags, but i decided i'm bringing enough I could "unload" them early. I did both the letter and the label in Illustrator. For the Scroll/Letter, I basically took an Image of Parchement and place it on both sides of the paper. inserted my writing and then printed two per 8.5 x 11 sheet. I cut them out myself. I bought full page labels and place about 16 on each for the little label on the front. Again cut it out myself. Got sand from a local beach awhile ago, and put a little in with some small shells, some aqua diamond confetti. I had bought ages agot starfish pewter charms and I tied that on the end of the ribbon so it was easy for the recipient to pull out the scroll. I got them for 5$ or something like that off of ebay. i had bought starfish confetti, but have no idea where i was going to use it So i glued two to the front of the lable, All in all easy, not that time consuming. If you want I can give you the details. If you have wording yourself I could plunk it into my file already and just send you the pdf. Will take no time on my part. Now to my other DIY projects, Passport welcome letters, name cards, luggage tags, cake topper (we are creating a Shreck one, lol, chessy I know but it means something to us) - Dana
  8. Look into bouquet jewlery, you may be able to buy those separately and then provide them to your florist.
  9. Are these real touch? I'm currently ordering from Angel's Accents, http://www.angelsaccents.com/ Send her a pic and maybe she can help. I have yet to receive my bouquets, but know lots of brides that have gotten their bouquets and they were extrodinary. Also for my bouquet, moh, two corsages, 3 bouteniers and a throw away bouquet, came to $354 (around) with shipping.
  10. Dolphinluck, for your cake, did you bring down the starfish and shells? And what size paper laterns did you have for the gazebo and the tables?
  11. Aparently if you call your airline then they will put it in the first class closet. Have you received it yet? Does it take alot of room?? They have steam service and everything.
  12. Montreal Quebec here!! I'm getting Married at Dreams La Romana, Dominican Republic
  13. Andressa, Thats a great idea about the florist. I'm getting married on the 11th and leaving on the 13th. My colors are basically Aqua, but i'm looking for white paper lanterns as well. If you wish, I could just leave all my lanterns behind for you (in a box with Tiara) and if you want the white ones then they are yours I haven't bought them all yet... But will keep you posted !!! My dress is bought and away at my moh's stored away, I GOT IT REALLY EARLY, it came in weeks in advance. This picture hardly shows the beadwork and also the train in the back. MissTaken and Hermahoops! Lovely dresses! I love them both! And Uninspired, HAVE FUN! Really when are we truly ever going to feel this again. You are the princess, prom queen and center of the wedding universe all at once. You have your loved ones all surrounding you so enjoy every moment. And yes we would love to see pictures
  14. lol, i feel like i should put together a wedding coordinator manual at this point. I'm just happy to help, i know when i started all this i was nervous, lost and didn't know where to start. I'm still nervous, but not lost, just panicked at getting everything that I want done!!! lol... Ask away, If i know the answer then i will help out!
  15. Hi Atossato, Â From what I know, people brought down their own systems for their IPod. I am getting the DJ (unless I can find a great price on a speaker Ipod dock) which costs 250$ I know from my questions in the past, that you could "rent" the speakers for 250$ (which is the same as a Dj, I know doesn't make much sense) Â From what I know about the decorations, they don't charge. I am bringing down paper lanterns myself, when is your wedding in April?? Â Dana
  16. We are using Elvis' Can't Help Falling in love with you, and recessional will be Happy Together... upbeat and non stuffy
  17. Yes, Â He's actually american and has lived down there as a missionary. Â http://www.weddingsinenglish.com/ I know there is another wedbsite on his missionary work, will have to ask FI at home.
  18. Hi katierenae, Â His charge is 300, but you pay him not the resort. Also, Tiara told me I did not have to pay for a day pass for him (as I am for HDC). We are having a legal ceremony here at home first ( a friend is performing it). And our religious ceremony is down at la romana. I like how he approaches it. My FI is an athiest and I am not. So he was able to work with me on making a sweet cermony that will cover everything.
  19. Omg, i would have loved to spend a whole month.. It sounds awesome! Congrats and we are all looking forward to pictures and reviews and everything! Â
  20. Haven't gone yet, been crazy working but will go this weekend. I really like them  and L&J, Saveoncrafts is great, but because I'm in Canada, i get nailed on shipping! But thank you for suggesting it
