Hey there, Â what sold me was that I could play music inside and it was airconditioned an private. We are currently 45 people and i expect 60. The rental of the SSG included 60 people (with the regular SSG menu) Helped out on the wallet. Plus it is lovely inside and out. Â

Hey Bee, Â Looked into the Hurricaine, its hitting the coast of Nagua, which is far away from La romana, and La Romana is in a peninsula. I think everything is going to be a-ok, they are very good at cleaning up after these events too. So far no fatalities, just people in Nagua evacuating their homes and that was August 31st.. Â

Hey Hustyg, Â You have lots of options. I am getting Pastor Rick York to do my ceremony. His cost is 300.00$ and you do not need to pay for a day pass (at least that is what I was told) because he is there less than an hour. Â For HDC, like Gem says it depends on the package. I got the first packaget at 699.00 I believe. I have their price list and I can email you. This included 3 hours. So before during ceremony and afterward. I asked what an extra hour would be and Arnaud told me 150$ which i'm still considering as i'm having a cocktail party and that will cover it up to the reception dinner. Â As for the Reception, my family are photo maniacs so i'm not worried about that. We are buying a SLR regardles to give to certain people to take pictures. But I know HDC has packages for all night as well. This also includes prints and a digital cd of all the images. You have to pay for a day pass for that photographer which I believe is 65$ I have it on my quotation but have to check at home. Â I also have a variety of images sent to me of the hairstyles and the price list of the SPA. I tried to book my appointments but Tiara said I can only do that around three months before the wedding. I know there is a wedding right after mine. (i'm getting married at 3 aswell) So I want to book that asap so I get in first ... lol battle of the brides!!! I can email you that as well... just send me a note to remind me. Â

Hey Bee, Â AS for the tropical storm, when are you flying in? Hopefully it "passes" by before then. Â As for tipping, what did people do for Tiara/Yanna. I'm having pastor Rick for my ceremony, so he's taken care of. Let me know... Â

Hey there. My dress is perfect for me. I had two choices originally but when I decided on a destination wedding, I knew it was the one. Empire waistline, chiffon.. I love it. Putting it on, my dress not the demo. Was amazing and made everything even more "real". I live with my FI and therefore the dress is hidden at a friends I did get it in Vermont, but am doing all alterations here. I got it 11 weeks early, so I'm not freaking as of yet . I tried my veil on when the FI wasn't home, lol.... Can't wait for the day to put it all into use!!! WE just are considering it since we would send it down fedex.. ANYWAY, put them in bubblewrap then zip lock bag if possible. Just in case you don't want glass in your luggage. You'll let me know how it goes as we are going on Sunwing as well. Â

For Canadian Ladies, Â Costco apparently has a few docks with speakers... Its not Bose, and it runs apparently 100$ over the current price of the DJ (350$) The FI is looking into it and i'll keep you posted. The only issue is the weight in the bag. With everything else we are bringing, i'm not sure we are going to do it or not. For now the DJ is booked and we will probably be going with that. But then, you think, for 100$ more i actually have something that will last more than 4 hours. Yikes Pink Petals!! Â I'm not going with the menu, but I was told that we choose two choices and the guest can choose from one of the two. And thats my understand with Tiara. I hope you figure this out. Are you able to call them?? Â Â

I had a read receipt last week, but no response to what I sent. Maybe she is on vacation.. if its urgent I would call. BUT get a calling card, I've spent 70$ calling down there last month!!! Â

Thanks everyone... Â GEM... all I can say is bubblewrap!! I've decided to just ship them down via FEDex before. Make sure they arrive safely with Tiara and then also have a backup plan. Its impossible to find plastic vases that will have that look or be that large. There is no way I can bring everything that I want to bring down in my luggage. Sunwing gave us a free upgrade as the bride and groom for extra weight and preferred seating. But now that the possibility of 25 more guests is looming.. i'm just going to have to ship stuff in advance. I repeat BUBBLEWRAP, AND praying to the FEDEX gods that everything gets there!!! Â Currently I didn't get the full package for HDC, just the three hour. But Arnaud said he could stay an extra hour for 150$ if we wish. So far he is extremly easy to work with.. and after seeing pictures... i love how they turned out. Â If I was less people I probably would have gone with the Ultimate wedding package. BUT budget is budget, and I rented out the SSG instead to handle the head count. Â
