Now that my wedding date is about 3 1/2 months away..does anyone else find themselves constantly daydreaming/thinking about Jamaica? I pretty much think about something related to my upcoming wedding every day! LOL I hope I'm not alone!

We chose Coral Cove Resort and Spa in Little Bay, Jamaica(about 30 min. from Negril. We wanted some seclusion from the big mega resorts. So far we have scheduled massages, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, and a visit to the local mineral pools. They also have honeymoon packages! Have fun planning!

Thanks to all the ladies for the nice words of encouragement! My mom and future MIL def. fought it in the begining, but my sister helped to remind me that it is my wedding and I should just go for it if this is what I want. I am going with a birdcage veil and with the flowers I am hoping it will look more "bride-y" This forum is so great!

we considered this dress but decided to go with the Victoria's Secret Convertible dress. I have BM's of all sides and all of them love how it fits and think it is very flattering!

I have to be honest, after seeing the movie The Cove it made me rethink the idea of swimming with the dolphins(I have done it before as a child). They are wild animals and meant to live freely in the ocean. Another idea might be to take her on a sunset cruise, where in Jamaica you are likely to enjoy dolphins in their beautiful, natural environment. whatever you choose to do, i am sure your BM will be thankful that you thought of something special for her.

I haven't decided on any of the excursions yet either! There are so many to pick from. I was watching the Travel Channel and they went on the Blue Mountain coffee tour and it looked really cool(if you like coffee). They also did the Falls as well, but i went to the Falls a few years ago and wasn't very impressed. It's so crowded that you almost lose the natural beauty. good luck!

Okay....I will be honest I have been really reluctant to post a picture of the dress I bought because I was afraid if everyone didn't like it. i am going to be brave and post it! I know it looks nothing like a traditional wedding gown (it's a prom dress, actually) but when I put it on it fit my curves perfectly! We originally only tried on the dress to see what the shape would look like but then i fell in love! It's sexy, fun, and dramatic! I can't wait to post pics of me in the dress! And of coarse, I will be detaching the bottom for the reception!

I am not staying at Majestic Elegance...but I just read a bad review about the resort I chose. Coral Cove in Jamaica. It is really kinda stressing me out too. The reviewer complained about the beds, food, etc. I am thinking about emailing the WC there myself and just ask her about her take. They do say- there is always two sides to every story. And some travelers are just impossible to please! ( like my mom)

Hi! Originally, I was planning on wearing my wedding dress for the TTD session, but now I am thinking it is better to get a seperate dress for this. Is it possible to get a TTD for under $100? Do you ladies have suggestions of websites to shop for this?? Thanks!

I am really sorry to hear this, however it seems like bm backing out is pretty common. My sister had her BM cancel one month before the wedding...pretty crappy. Hang in there and know that no matter what, you are about to get married and at the end of it all that is what is most important.

Thank you all for your replies..but I didn't even think about including no alcohol in the invitations before I wrote this. They are already done! So, now that i don't have the options of putting it on the invitations...any suggestions?

We are planning a formal AHR this summer for all our friends and family after our return from Jamaica. My fiance and I don't drink alcohol and haven't for quite some time. Our close friends and family know this and avoid drinking around us or inviting us out to bars...but what about our extended relatives who will be attending? My fiance and I would like to not serve any alcoholic drinks and instead serve mocktails and fruit smoothies. Do you think people will expect alcohol to be there and be disapointed/upset if there isn't? If guests find out beforehand..do you think they will try to bring their own in? Please help!

I am so thankful for this thread! This is definitly the choice we are going with for my fiance! Has anyone ordered the white or lightest colors? Is there a big difference between the light colors or do you think they will all blend pretty well?
