  1. Hey guys! Â I bought this dress at the Brides Against Breast Cancer Event about a month ago. It is a runway sample, never worn or altered. Â I changed my mind about the style of dress I want, and will be purchasing a more casual dress for my beach wedding. I'd love to sell this one if possible! Â Here is the description from the Maggie Sottero website: One-piece, A-line gown with halter neckline and button/loop over zipper closure. This style boasts modern couturier styling with a high-collar, halter neckline and stunning fabrication in Godavari Silk (Pamela Royale) or Bordeaux Taffeta (Pamela). Asymmetrical ruching creates an amazing figure, while a smattering of beaded embellishments provides an understated ornamentation at the side hip and surrounding the back button/loop feature. Â Â Let me know is any of you are interested! Â Â Â
  2. Do you have any pictures of yourself in the dress? I would love to see it on!
  3. Thanks to everyone for their input not the legal vs symbolic wedding... I'm glad it didn't take away from your "real wedding" experience. That's what I was worried about! Â Amy, I never even considered getting legally married after the wedding in Mexico, but you're absolutely right, it's not the paper that matters. You really nailed it with your explanation. Â Miriam, your dress looks gorgeous on you Â
  4. Very nice! I'm getting married days after you!! Maybe I should start working on my invitations lol  Good for you! It'll be so empowering  I've been wondering, thanks!  Soo cute! Were you thinking of using this dress for the reception? I"m still trying to decide whether or not to get married before we get to Mexico... I'm not sure I want to do the blood test and everything once we're there. Any advice? Are you glad you got legally married before? Not sure what to do Thanks!
  5. Dani welcome back!!! Â Chong, great job on those brochures, and thanks for sharing! Â Welcome Michele! Â
  6. Wow ladies, I've missed so much! My son's first birthday was this weekend, and it has kept me sooo busy... I"ll do my best to catch up!
  7. So sorry it didn't work out... I"m glad you didn't get sucked into the madness and just buy a dress you kinda liked. I went to a Brides Against Breast Cancer event and bought a dress that I now realize is not really me... I love Carolina! I love saving money too I can't see it... Noob status lol. If you have until the end of August to order it, take this time to really go dress shopping and see what's out there! That way, you'll order your dress with 100% confidence! I'm only 5' and petite so I know what you mean about certain dresses...
  8. So good to know! I can't wait so see some of your wedding pics! I didn't put down my deposit until they confirmed my date and time! I also waited until I had received the group rates in writing, and reserved 20 rooms for our guests. That was definitely the most stressful part of planning so far!
  9. Ok I just tried to multi quote, and it was taking way to much effort... I still can't open attachments, so I can't see all of your gorgeous monograms and bouquet unless the picture is in the actual post
  10. Oooh Bop my colors are yellow, gray, black, and white (or cream?)... I'd love to see what you can dig up for me if you find a free moment between crime fighting, raising a family, planning a wedding, and amateur photography lol. BTW, what site are you using to dig up all these inspiration boards?
  11. I just realized you ladies probably don't know my name! Lol I'm Marci Quote: Originally Posted by amybermuda annnnnnnnnddddd my slideshow is up! I am obsessed!!! Have any of you received discounts for travelers for booking so many rooms? I know that if we book at least 15 rooms we stay for free, but I feel like a discount should be offered to our families? Any insight would be helpful, I have nooooo idea what I am doing Thx, Lauren Welcome! These girls are the best! We received 20% off our room rates by booking through our travel agent. If you look on the karisma website, you'll see the details of the "Bride & Groom Stay Free" deal Also, Welcome Gemma!
  12. This forum has been my biggest resource for planning my DW so thank you!!! I"m sure the updates will make it even better!
  13. Love your story! And your ring is gorgeous too

I am going to be busy reading the older posts tomorrow at work, hope it is not too busy lol, lots to read. also don't know what reception dinner options we have. I would have written back to all of you who were kind enough to welcome me, but I'm not down with multi-quoting yet! Also my ticker is so small! Haha, oh well at least i figured out how to do it. Thanks for listening to me vent! Yayy congrats on setting the date! And then he lead me to a concert...to my surprise it was...Sting! (And I love Sting!) We sat in the 11th row, as Sting performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra! Hee hee I love Surprise Day! That is awesome that he planned that for you... Soo thoughtful! Quote: Originally Posted by TLGnhci Curious ~ Are any of the Bs2B using the resort photographers, or has anyone used them recently? Welcome! The photographer is one of the most important decisions... and I'm still trying to decide how far from my original budget I'm willing to stray. Good luck! I needed them. It has been such a rough week. On top of all of the wedding stuff, FI got into a car accident, his family dog was put to sleep this morning and we just found out his aunt is really, really sick. So sad. All the complaining about the wedding seems silly now. (Even though there is so much to say about my TA... I can get into that at another time.) So thanks ladies for listening. So sorry to hear you are going through so much. I love your "so behind in life" comment, because I feel like that a lot too. I always say things like I need to go organize my life, and my friends laugh, but I'm soo serious. You and your FI probably need a date night or something to help with all the stress you've been dealing with. And you can always vent here if you need it!

LOL I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE cameras and even tried to enroll in a JC course this past semester but it was full. :-( Do not get me started on my love for DSLR's! LOL Sorry to stay off topic, but you can learn sooo about photography online! And I love my DSLR so much, I got a camera bag that looks like a purse on the outside for mother's day! It's awesome, and I don't look like such a crazy bag lady with a purse, diaper bag, and boxy canon bag! Quote: Originally Posted by MaggieandJay I ordered them from Invitation Consultants. YouTube - Perfect Wedding - Bridal Make-Up That video is perfect!! Thank you so much! And let me tell you, you did NOT look 19 on your wedding day While dress shopping, this is the first thing I told the consultants, I don't want to look like I"m 12 on my wedding day!
