  1. 1) You can contact Marvin and I am sure he can quote you on fresh flowers prices. 2) Don't do it! During my stay, my hubby saw the resort's resto waiter with the videocam...learning how to use it..then went to film a wedding! I guess the videographer called in sick..and they had to find a quick replacement. Plus, their pics look a bit tacky and posy. 3) Yes, they have a basic wood/plywood dance floor for the beach by default and the fancy lite up floor if u are willing to pay more.
  2. regarding the stem leakage issues, I got married in Playa Del Carmen, and used the bouquet for 2 days (actual wedding and TTD), and no leakage from the stem.
  3. I hand carried the vases down to mexico. They came in box and well-wrapped. the cost per vase with everything (vase, confetti, shell, beans, candles, LED lights) was below $20.
  4. kkimi88, Cake topper was from an ebay seller. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Personalized-Figurines-Custom-Wedding-Cake-Topper-OFFER-/250882238185?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a69bf26e9
  5. They lasted 2-3 days, wedding day, TTD day (I did 2 TTD sessions), and they still looked fine on Day 3. Kelly, The Royal PDC doesn't have those rectangle tables to form a big table. Dreams resorts do have them. There was a bride on the Royal thread rented the tables+ brown tiffany chairs from an outside vendor. I know there was a bride on here who did just that, but I think she coordinated through an outside rental company. thanks!
  6. The bouquets are made with real fresh cut flowers. The bridal bouquet had pink orchids, pink peonies, pink ranunculus and green berries. The BM bouquets had pink and ivory roses. The vase is a voltive vase, so it has a glass compartment on top of a cylinder vase. I put blue diamond confettis, 1 big seashell and 4 floating LED light ice cubes with water in the vase, and the water soaked jelly beans and 1 starfish candle in the top part.
  7. I used a DJ even I had only 22 guests. It was way easier without playing attention to the ipod, since we got tons of guests who had speeches, and my hubby was a DJ, and is very keen on music, it was worth the extra expense. However, I didn't get the lite up floor, because my guests aren't the dancing type, but I got the firework, and it added an extra oh la la factor to the whole reception.
  8. Hilly, Beadings..I think babyonline can do it...color accent, u will have to ask if they have those material available.
  9. Thx Girls! I got my pro pics! Finally, even it was just 6 weeks, it felt like 6 yrs..lol http://s894.photobucket.com/albums/ac147/prettypigpig/Wedding%20pics/
  10. Dear Royal PDC Brides, my pro pics are in, and I am so happy :-) http://s894.photobucket.com/albums/ac147/prettypigpig/Wedding%20pics/
  11. I love his style, his personality and his price :-) His assistant also did an awesome job with the boys, my hubby LOVES the boys' shots! Who knew boys too can get awesome cheesy pics?!?!?! Actually, one of them who is engaged will hire Sascha...just because he and his fiancee both fell in love with my pics! For those who are still shopping around, I highly recommend Sascha Gluck! For the whole slide show: http://s894.photobucket.com/albums/ac147/prettypigpig/Wedding%20pics/ Some highlite pics:
  12. ok girls, I got my pro pics from Sascha Gluck. For those who are getting married in Cancun/Rivera Mayan area and still shopping for a photog, I highly recommend him so here are some shots with the dresses made by Babyonline
  13. Erin, you sounded like as if you wanna try the dress on you!! lol Gracimurano, You got me! If a dress is ugly, I would say it out loud! mouhahaha I had a goddess cut dress and a mermaid cut dress, can never put myself in a cake dress, seriously, it will turn into a snowball dress on me. lol However, you are right, it is a very personal preference. I still remember that $8000 swifer 360 dress that someone was trying sell on this thread, and I actually came across her wedding video clip...me and my hubby laughed our bum bum off, but hey..she looked pretty happy looking like a duster with a queen Amidala hairstyle, and her man loves her duster look.
  14. Girls, I just got the digital proofs from Sascha, and the pics are AMAZING!!! We actually will spend more to buy more pics, initially I thought 320 pics were more than enough...but BIG mistake!, my hubby wants and loves all the boys pics. We got 747 pics to choose from..and 320 pics is just not enough!! lol here are some of my fave pics
  15. wow..so many beautiful dresses!! I haven't been to the forum for the past few days because I was busy with my pro wedding pics. pro Lloew3, I think your dress is beautiful, but it is a bit too much for a small frame and a beach wedding but great for a church wedding. Of course I am a bit bias (as you can see my dress and can guess my taste), I really love flowy dresses over a ball gown.
  16. Ok, I guess I am a special mutant, a 00p bride is rare, and most of the sample dress was in size 8 or 10! They put like 5 clips or more ..sometimes extra hands from humans to hold the dress on me. Dress shopping was a weird experience. However, it is VERY important to try on diff style and color before ordering! Don't just judge based on pics, unless you are a super model mutant! vbbbtk, As I mentioned, ask a tailor or seamtress to take ur measurements ( DON'T DIY, I repeat...no DIY or u will regret it), and tell the dressmaker your concerns. For example, like myself, I look like a bamboo mutant, so I make sure that the dressmaker add EXTRA features to keep the dress holding up. I repeated several time that the measurements MUST be exact, or else..the dress will slide down. My bestpal is a Barrel Mutant like a 42-40-43, so I made sure the dressmaker add extra bones, extra stiffness to give the dress an A-shape..so she doesn't look like a burrito. Be precise, exact..and repeat several times...and please be nice to the rep...build a good relationship will also help a lot! Joanne, If you wanna sit down and an easy to make dress...Dress #1 If you wanna look like a curvy mermaid goddess, and don't expect to sit on a chair with the dress (i.e. if you got another more comfy reception dress), then dress #2 is the one.
  17. Babigirl, I posted the rings on page 71 of this thread, as you can see, my e-ring does have details around and underneath the main stone, and the curved band setting was a bit lower than the e-ring, so it doesn't hide all the underneath details. On a practical side, most of the people won't notice the underneath details, but they do see the halo and the side stones.
  18. Bridetwobe, I think Hillary Duff got double eternity bands as her wedding bands. I also "thought" of getting double bands, but my hubby said I need to save some rooms for anniversary bands...I settled for 1 curved band.
  19. Jackie, You are right, they were only in the ring pics, and I weared my Marc Jacob charms sandals for the ceremony and reception because it was just way more comfy ( I was so stressed out that I didn't need to have feet pain in a pair of Prada to stress me even more).
  20. LOL..Thx JayKay, but focus on the curved band! not my Miu Miu Prada shoes!
  21. Babigirl21, Maybe a curved band. I also got a fat pear as my e-ring, and found a curved band to fit it perfectly. Below is the preview of wedding pics by Sascha Gluck, you can see the curved band. http://cancunphotosblog.com/bonnie-jose-the-royal-playa-del-carmen/
  22. yeah..I know hormone injected meat, genetically modified vege, junk food don't help much. My 16 yrs old cousin in Australia too turned into a monster size chick, with arms that are the size of my legs, and her torso is so thick that I don't think a bullet could fly thru. I swear..even the great white sharks won't bite her because they may have a heart attack after one bite. My dad nicknamed her..Gozilla! LOL To be fair, my dad is a very skinny chef who looks like a 40 yrs old man because of his diet, a lot of organic vege, low carb, high protein diet. I was fed like this since I was a baby, so I don't like bread, rice, pasta...I love soups, fish, and lean meat...oh..and red wine in general..I am a very picky eater too. Thus, it is no surprise that I am a 00p, or Gap kids size 12, much much skinnier than Chinese chick's average, the dressmakers were a bit shock. I guess the dressmakers will eventually get used to X-men generation brides. However for now, if any bride is at the outer range sizes, she MUST be clear and precise with the dressmaker or else...the dress may have a weird cut or fit.
  23. weird size => anything above 16..., like I have mentioned before China is still an emerging country, so obesity is still rare. the dressmaker probably never seen anyone in that size real life. Chinese chicks are usually not very tall as well, so I would say..normal size would be 4-10, with height of 5ft2 to 5ft 8.
