Just FYI, I just received an e-mail from Ana from Dreams. I had asked about orange calla lillie's because I really want them for the bouquet's. She informed me that they are considered an "exotic" flower and if I want them I would need to upgrade the flowers (AKA- pay more money!). She didn't quote me an exact price because she would need to know exactly what I wanted, first. But the info I have says that an upgraded bridal bouquet is $120-$180 and bridesmaids bouquet's range from $80-$125. Just wanted to let everyone know in case your heart is set on orange calla's! I think this helps me make my decision to just go with the fake "real touch" flowers.

Alternative to bridesmaids bouquets...

The maids bouquets are $75 each. I would need 2. Does anyone have any alternatives to bridesmaid bouquets that would fit well with a beach wedding in Bermuda? If the ideas are cool enough, I wont hesitate to scrap my bouquet either. I thought about ordering fake flowers, which I am still open to, but I have yet to find anything that didn't scream artificial. Thanks for the help! Side note: I did search the forum but couldn't find anything similar to be question. My apologies if there is already a thread out there. You should look into "Real Touch" fake flowers. VERY realistic but may not save you much money. But at least you will be able to keep you bouquet. -

I thought there was another thread on here for this, but I can't find it now. I definitely want Real Touch, NOT Floramatique flowers (as I have heard not so good things about them). Also, Plumeria's wedding flower boutique no longer takes custom orders, and they are only taking wedding that are way booked out. So, I am looking for a trustworthy website to buy my flowers from. I don't want to buy pre-made bouquets, I want to make them myself. Can anyone help?

I do have Doremixx reserved and I like the idea of having someone to kind of get the party started and keep it going. I am wondering if the "technician" that is included with the rental of the sound system does any kind of DJ-ing. Or, does he just stand there and make sure the ipod is running correctly?? Anyone out there that rented the sound system and just did their own music that can shed some light on this topic? It would be nice to save a little money in this department.

Thanks for all of the ideas ladies. I like the football idea....... The best pricing for the starfish bottle opener's is on e-bay. They will sell in any amount you want, you just need to e-mail them. I attached the link. I haven't worked with them yet so I can't speak to the service or quality but this is probably where I will purchase. 18 Starfish Design Bottle Opener Favors Beach Wedding - eBay (item 120530029656 end time Jun-12-10 01:16:02 PDT)

Thanks ladies for all your suggestions. For the girls, I am giving pashmina's as the main gift. I think most of the OOT bag will mostly be used/liked by the women: 1. The bag itself (Jute - very cute) 2. Starfish bookmark 3. Personalized mugs (I know the guys will like these too) I have thought of the bottle opener idea and the cigar thing. Our guys would like cigars. There are some guys that I'm not sure about. Maybe I could do cigars for the one's we know like them and then do bottle openers for the others. I found some starfish bottle openers that I love, but do you think that would be too "girly" for the guys? See......women are easy!!!

So I am struggling with the dilemma of Real Touch "fake" flowers and real flowers. At first, I was super snobby about the flowers and would NEVER have done fake flowers. But, after seeing some photo's on here, and receiving my Real Touch gardenia for my hair, I am quickly changing my tune! At this point I am wondering what is making you brides lean towards one or the other? Fake because they last forever? You can get the exact flower you want? Less money? At first I thought it would save me money going with the fake, but after looking at the price of these "real" looking fake flowers, I'm not so sure. I will be needing: My bouquet 2 boutonnieres 4 bridesmaid bouquets What are you suggestions, ladies Thanks!

My Gorgeous Real Touch Flowers!!
lorijfletcher replied to classadiva's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I am going back and forth on fake flowers vs. real. I am loving all the photo's of the fake, so I am getting over that dumb dilemma, but now I am thinking cost. It thought fake would be cheaper, but if you go with these "real touch" type of flowers I don't really think there is a financial savings. Plus then it adds to the amount of "stuff" I have have to take and pay extra money for extra luggage. What made you go with the fake over real? Money? The longevity? Getting the exact flower you wanted? Just trying to figure out what is best for me! Thanks, -

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what to do for the men. Women are easy! What you you ladies doing? I know the sunglasses, and I've heard of beach towels........but those don't seem like the guys would like them as much as the girls would love pashmina's and sunglasses I feel like the guys are kinda getting the shaft! Any suggestions?
