Anyone used photographer Marcia Roberts before?

Anyways we have an issue with the resort. they charge 500.00 for an outside photographer which is not a problem, but Marcia brings an associate with her as well, so we have to make sure we are not going to be charged 1000.00. So I am waiting to hear back from the couples wedding coordinator to make sure. Marcia sent me a link of a Negril wedding montage. see if I can post this right. YouTube - Negril Jamaica Destination Wedding I hope that works if not maybe copy and paste and see if that works. If not I could send you the email I got from her today. Thanks for sharing! -

Wedding coordinator overcharging

I have never heard of charging a fee like that plus 20% is extremely high in my opinoin. But I have been in touch with Jamaica elegant weddings and Jai, she is in Negril, from exclusive weddings who both can accomodate my budget. This other lady is a total rip off. Can I please ask the name of the person you are dealing with? I am working with a coordinator and I hope it is not the same one. The person I am working with is in Ocho Rios. -

First, after reading this site I discovered real touch flowers and I thought it was a great idea to go with something that will last forever for the bouqets. So, I ordered my bridal bouqet, 2 bridesmaids bouqet, 1 maid of honor bouqet, 3 bouts for the groomsmen, 4 corsages for the mothers/grandmothers, and 3 hair flowers. They were all made out of plumerias, stargazerlillies, and orchids. Cant wait to show you all the actual results. Cost was around $450.00. Now I also wanted to have some decorations for the ceremony site, we're getting married at the beach front gazebo. These were the quotes I recieved. Tai Flora (preferred ROR vendor): Hello Shakara Thank your for your patience in awaiting my response. Her are the requested information and suggestions: Aisle Markers $7+tax (rental) Aisle runner $45 + Chair Ties $2.75+ Fabric Aisle $50 up depending on length of aisle Railing Décor $40+ Arch $320+ Suggestions: -Brides Bouq – 12 yellow mini calla lily and white roses $165 -Bridesmaids bouquet – orange $ yellow casa lily, pink and red roses hand-tied $65ea -Rose Boutonniere $20ea *I decided not to go with Tai Flora because I didn't like that she put + next to the stuff I was interested in Grande Garden: Dear Shakara, I know this is long over due, it has gotten so busy and it is our policy to be attentive to all our Brides and you are next in line. I have listed your prices below this does not include tax (17.5%) or delivery ($250.00) Thanks for your patients and time, Warm Regards, Charmaine Pang Two arrangements on Pedestals $ 295.00 Chair Tie Backs- $ 6.00 ea 54" x 108" Aisle Runner runner & tropical petals $75.00 Gazebo Decor- $295.00 *The 250 delivery charge ruled this out for me* Floral Fantasy Hi Shakara, Thank you for your great patience as the Valentine's Day week was very hectic for me. Okay I'll be delighted to assist you with the requested info. For a bouquet cascading using white lilies and yellow roses this would cost $ 100.00. The bridesmaid bouquet using a small bouquet of mixed white flowers such as white roses with white dendrobium orchids this will cost $ 40.00 For the gazebo you can have small archway pieces for $50.00 each going up and pedestal arrangements from $ 150.00 going up. Please note you'll have to add 17.5% sales and $50.00 for delivery to Ocho Rios. Jan's Tropical Flowers required – orange, red, pink white & lots of yellow Flowers to be used – Calla lilies, casa blanca lilies, tiger lilies, stargazer lilies, Dendrobium & cymbidium orchids, Roses, hibiscus, Ceremony Decorations: •Gazebo decorated with fabric and three floral piece $250.00 •4 small arrangements as aisle markers (4@$60ea)$240.00 •1 white Aisle Runner (with petals on both sides)$ 60.00 oTOTAL $550.00 I really liked Jan's the best. They were the most organized and quickest to respond... not to mention cheapest So I decided to go with Jan... minus the aisle marker arrangements taking me to $310 and then were just going to bring down chair sashes and a little extra stuff decorating the signing table, etc Jan sounds like the best offer. Did you get a referral for Jan from the forum? May I ask who did you work with for your "real touch" flowers? -
This thread is great! It has helped me make my decision about an AHR. I actually think I will do a small Almost Married Send Off Party before and decide later whether I want to do something after the wedding. If I do choose to do something after the wedding, it will be at least 6 mos. later. Thanks for sharing!

Now it was really noisy here at the house (do daycare) so she either quoted me 1850.00 or 850.00 lol I am pretty sure it was the 1850.00. Let us know when you get your call and what she is quoting you! I definitely will let you know when I get a call. Did she quote that price for just photos or was it for photos and a video? Did she state whether her services will be for a full day? That's what has me most interested! -
