Laura, How long did you make the song you are walking down the isle to? I'm still stuck on how much to shorten the songs for each part of the ceremony. Did you put your songs on separate CDs or just make a note of 1 is for seating, 2 is for walking down isle etc... I have to finish this part since I leave in one week and it's making me really nervous!

I doubt I will get a work shower either but it really doesn't hurt my feelings. Rhat is great Laura. They really care about you. I know I won't even get a cube shower like Erin! Meggers-get better! Happy your step father is getting to go now!. e-ring - I have to take mine as my wedding ring will not be ready to go with us. FI and I will have to have a christening for it when we return and it's ready! I'm not upset about it because I want it to be what I really want and it's been hard to come by. Victoria - Have a fabulous time! Cannot wait to hear about it. With all you ladies getting sick, makes me think I need to start on the echinaccea so hopefully I will ward off any illness. I think a lot of it has to do with the stress you are under and your bodies just aren't handling it well. Bad timing though but the stress becomes more before it gets better. My daughter just told me tonight she's getting a cold so I am starting her on it also. But hers could be allergies as the pollen is picking up here. I'll start my herbs in the morning as they typically help me. Had my bachelorette party last Saturday night. Great times. We ate a wonderful italian dinner and then went to a drag show at a popular gay bar. It's weird but they always make us feel safe and not like we are at a meat market as in a typical bar. So much fun to hang out in. If you haven't tried it, I recommend going to one if you are not easily offended by that lifestyle.

OMG-I guess I should. My itinerary states 4pm! I cannot do 5pm because there won't be time for pictures before the dinner at 6:30. I guess 3pm would work if it has to. Thanks ladies!

I didn't realize they did them at 5pm. Good for you! Mine is at 4pm. My balance was due 45 days prior to leaving (which is two weeks from tomorrow!)

Meggers, I hope your stepfather recovers very soon! That has to be hard for all three of you. Hang in there! I will complain to my FI that I'm doing it all and then when he asks what I want him to do as he is VERY willing to help, I say oh, nothing. I prefer to do it myself as I know it will turn out better! I was tying bows around our favor boxes last night and he offered to help but I turned him down haha. BMADZIA1, Where will your mom get the champagne from? That's actually a good idea to purchase the real stuff but I'm just not sure where I'd get it. I leave in 20 days!

On the name change, I was having a hard time a year ago dealing with the thought of changing my last name to where it would be different than my children's. I could tell it really hurt my FI so as not to disrespect him, I'm going with his last name. When we joined Title Boxing Club last month, we just put his last name as mine so I won't have to mess with it later on. I'm ok with changing it now but it took a lot of thinking to get there. Since I work in IT, I won't have a problem hyphenating my last name there for a few months until people get used to the change and then I'll drop my current last name.

Thank you! I bought them from Michaels. It was very easy to do. Tried to keep them pretty neutral but put a little splash of the orange in them. I think they will look great since they are on their wrists and not pinned on their dresses which may not match completely. I used nice ivory hydrangas and I think the other is called alstromeria which looks tropical. We are actually buying real alstromeria for my AHR cake as they are much cheaper than orchids. Here's a pic of my daughters bouquet - her dress is an orange. My son will be in a turquoise shirt so I made his bout a little different than the dad's. What are your wedding colors?

My wrist corsages for the mothers and bouts for the fathers and my son. Now my daughter wants me to make her and her BF's for Prom. I think I can do that!

That is what I thought as well. We are having 17 people but only doing the free wedding. I've read there really is enough cake for 20 or so people so I'm not spending more on a larger one. May have to do so with the champagne but that's no biggie.

Francine, I've used Shutterfly for several photo books and I've been very happy with them!

Where did you order your parasols from?

I think the yellow will pop with the purple dresses. Especially for a spring wedding. Makes me think of pansies. Good choice!

For everyone having a tough time right now, hang in there! The pre-wedding stress with your FI and family will be over before you know it. I'm dealing with the stress of an ex-husband and a parenting plan I want changed but have to put it off until after the wedding so it doesn't drive me crazy. Try and think of the positive things of a DW and how beautiful it will be with the love of your life. I'm excited because I got a lot of things finished yesterday and today - Completed my daughters bouquet, the boutonnieres and wrist corsages for the parents and my starfish ring holder. And I have to say, I think they look amazing. Scheduled final time to meet with the AHR DJ and the venue manager to pick out linen colors and finish details. Secured spots for my dogs for 10 days while we are gone (that one's gonna hurt when I see the bill). Met with the caterer for the AHR and decided on food etc... Finished our ceremony wording Now I have to do the sand ceremony frame, wrap up favor boxes and cut my music. Then I believe I'm done with the wedding stuff and will only have to focus on the rest of the AHR items. I'll do these the week after we return home just before the AHR. I also received my lanyards and card holders from Laura. Thanks so much! The color is PERFECT!!! Now I just have to make my inserts. Thanks again Laura!!!!

Francine, I feel bad for you that none of your family is going. That's a pretty cruddy way of telling you but I'm sure she was uncomfortable telling you over the phone, thus did it via email. Do you have a best friend that is going with you, maybe your maid of honor could give you away . She could easily fill two rolls! Hang in there. Hopefully things will work out just fine. You are marrying your best friend and someone you want to spend the rest of your life with!

I am just going to go into the wedding with an open mind and "no worries mon". I don't plan on purchasing extras myself so I won't have a lot to worry about there. I have decided to go ahead and have my hair done at Renova due to the vendor fee though. I will need to ask Keisha ahead of time if they have a microphone to use based on the review I just read and the wind. Luckily, they are having the beach party the night of my wedding so we are only doing the semi-private reception and then heading down to the beach party and later on the disco. Nothing "formal" by way of a reception as we are having our AHR one week after we get home. With this being my second wedding, I'm a lot more laid back. Just hang in there ladies. I wouldn't get too stressed about things not going as you have set in your mind. It will all work out and your guests probably won't notice if something is not as you wanted. Remember it's a beautiful place to get married - don't let their discrepencies ruin your wedding day!
