We have never done Mexico either, so were like you Jo, definatly going in blind to Mexico :-) I think its kinda exciting though!!! We have been to dom rep & cuba, but i hear Mexico is totally different...  As much as i want to do a site visit, in a way i know i personally will be more excited on the way to the resort... but a little nervous too... JUST INCASE... but going of what the girls on here say i know we wont have to worry x  Hey Linds, not sure who our next bride is.... COME ON GIRLS COME FORWARD :-)  Congrats on going back to Mexico, im so so jealous.... Brilliant how you got that voucher, what a fab xmas you will have, Fantastic x

Did you smel the perfumes :-) Yay!!! everything dispached... exciting :-) Love the car stuff you have ordered, neither of us drive so we wouldnt benefit from that but if we did :-)  Have you got your Tiara etc? x  Hey Mel.... LOL.... Make me laugh!!!!  I havent wore "G" before but just really like the smell.... Im not going to wear it ever before the ceremony as you know when smell remind you of things? Well, when ever i wear the perfume (after the wedding, whenever, where ever) Then it will alway remind me of our wedding day!!! Haha :-) Soppy sod really!!!! x  Awwwwww, B.O.R.I.N.G!!!!!! :-) hehe x Oooooo, but you got the flowers for Mia etc, thats definatly not boring & neither is buying clothes :-) x  Thanks will have a look at these now x  To be honest, i think you WC will go through it all with you the day you meet to arrange flowers etc, I know we meet our WC the day after we land and from what i can gather we dont have a rehearsal as such, but she just goes through the who what where and when??? :-) xox Â

"The One" is gorgeous.... one of my faves :-) Reminds me of one of our hols a few years ago to the Dom Rep.... i bought it so i had a new perfume for our jollies.... Mmmmmmm, gorgeous.... Definatly ties in nicely with the wedding though x

Ive known for months my wedding perfume perfume was going to be "Harajuku Lovers : G" by Gwen Stefani. I have never had the perfume but have smelled it a few times when i have been going around trying to find my wedding perfume. So anyway a few weeks ago i was in Boots looking at perfumes and nearly bought it. The 10ml is £15 and the 30ml £20 so i thought obviously i will get the 30ml. For some reason or another i didnt buy it then, so I went to Boots today to weigh myself (stayed the same!! quite pleased as i feel like ive put on) and i walked past the perfume and YIPEE!!! so so glad i waited as the 10ml is still £15 BUT the 30ml is on offer at £10. So what a bargain... :-) Well pleased with myself for holding out!!!   Â

Like you Lyndsey we wanted the first week. We fly out on Sun 1st and get married on Fri 6th :-) We only needed to be in the country for 3 days to get married at our resort. so thats not too bad. Like you say Josie i dont think it really does matter what week you get married but i think its personal preference or depending how many days you have to be there :-) THE MAIN THIS IS WERE GETTING MARRIED!!! WHOO WHOO :-) XOX If you requested your dates pretty close to them being released im sure you'll have no worries in getting them securred!!! Fingers crossed for next week Josie xox

LOL... Cant wait to see the pix Josie :-) x Cant believe Thomsons are taking so long to reply to you ladies..... I know you prob have but have you phoned the wedding dept yourselves? I booked through Thomas Cook, but are flying with Thomsons and the wedding is a Thomsons wedding and TC told me when i booked it would be 2 weeks then we should find out date, then it was another 2 weeks.. then they said they lost paperwork, then it was another 2 weeks, (conveniently she always had been on phone to wedding dept the morning id phoned or popped in...) Hmmmmm, anyway i got fed up of the fibs (i knew they werent bothered now they had the booking) so i called the wedding dept and low and behold.... "yes Miss Bates, we can confirm your date & time, it was confirmed about a week and a half ago" Funnily enough id been on to TC on the Wed (after date/time etc was confirmed) and TC said to me "Oh ive spoken to them this morn, no conformation yet" So anyway i never went back to TC as they had P'd me off big time.... I was happy it was all confirmed, just had to wait on wedding package coming through. When it came (2 weeks later) and i went to pick it up from TC and she was like "Whoo, its all comfirmed" I was like "I know, have done for a few weeks!!! just been waiting on this, and to think alll the times you'd phoned and were told it wasnt confirmed" She just ummm'd and argh'd and smiled and said "well its all booked" BAH!!!! Anyway sorry for the babble, I do go on sometimes.... But anyway may be worth a try to get in touch with them directly if you havent already? Maybe it is just a slow response from your ministers/judges? :-) xox

Your SO funny, ive never been to maidstone so i cant comment but i can only imagine what its like... :-) As the others have said im sure it will be a great night... although i do have to agree it is a tad costly!!! x Hope your gana take some great pix, maybe we can have a nosey at 1 or 2? x Oooooo.... excelent.... just wait til you get contract back, how much more real it will be :-) So exciting x Again, like maidstone ive never been to Ashford either so cant comment on that either, but im sure it will be a fab night :-) x Been to Blackpool so may times but not for years & years.... To be honest i love the Iberostar more than FI did, but over the last few years when we have been on hols, we have stayed in Iberostar properties and dont get me wrong we both LOVED them all but when it came to getting married we both wanted something different, something that we'd both never experienced before and we'd heard a lot of good things about the RIU properties so decided to check them out, and The Palace just stood out a mile & more for us :-) x Go with your heart mrsgreen, thats the best thing to do..... your prob just having 2nd thoughts due to being on here and everyone talking about all these beautiful resorts and it just makes it so difficult :-) xo Thanks Murmel... Welcome, and congratulations.... Im a Riu Palace Riviera Maya bride-to-be, May 2011... So with my biased opinion i say go with RPRM :-) Why dont you do a list of pro/cons with each resort, etc and try to narrow it down that way.... That was the hardest part for us, choosing the resort, after about 15 months of short listing, we finally found a resort we BOTH loved..... :-) Where as before FI liked bits and i liked bits but never loved the same bits, if that makes sense, we even changed country a few times, Staring with Mexico, then Aruba, then Jamaica then back to good old Mexico... I think we both new in our hearts we wanted Mexico but were so frustrated at looking for the perfect place we decided to change country!!!! Then one day we had Jamaica and were nearly ready to book and we both were like "i dont think i wana marry in Jamaica... lets go to Mexico..." Haha :-) So back to the drawing board in Mexico, and along came the RPRM and WHAM!!!! we just knew it was the place x Sorry im not much help at all..... but yes maybe a list from each resort to see what stands out, whats important etc Good Luck, once again, sorry i havent been much help xox

Thanks Kerry, I saw this site and never had shipping international prices but found a similar site and international shipping is $50 and i just thought no-way.... but $18 i can manage, will have to look through my list of things still to buy and see if this site do it 2, get more for my shipping :-) x Thanks again x

Stephen is EXACTLY the same!!! I just cant get him interested in looking.... he wont eben look online yet.... its driving me barmy... Luckily we have a few more months after you b4 we get wed but still... Whenever were anywhere walking past shops etc.... i say "lets bob in just to look" and hes like "nah, do it nearer the time" ARGH, i wana strangle him sometimes..... :-) Oooo, Paris, sounds like yo had fun, never been to Paris, wouldnt mind going for a short break, but things like that are a going to have to wait til after the wedding. I thought the adaptor was U.S. I know what you mean with the straightners etc... Both Cuba & Dom Rep were the same my straghteners NEVER heated up fully and it drove me mad as i have horrible, part wavey, part curly, part straight, part frizzy hair and relay on my GHD everyday. Im going to have to purchase the ones that DO heat up abroad i think, but prob the week b4 we go as the £100 odd quid is soething i cant afford just now.... :-( xox
