  1. On another note- I am having a hard time picking out flowers... I am looking for flowers with oranges, whites, yellow and greens only! Does anyone have any suggestions to send? Or if you already got married- were your flowers these colors? My colors are Dark Teal and Orange- so from the flowers Ana sent me, none are really what I am looking for- I know that she said I could send her what I wanted and they could do (or try to do) but I can't even figure out what I want to do Any help?!?

So Pedro is the hair guy on site?? I don't know WHY I am so nervous about hair and makeup- haha.

My wedding will be small and we are doing the free package due to the fact we are having a huge reception when we return. Can't wait to chat with you all! Hey and Congrats! We are getting married on October 24th-- so maybe we will see you there

But with flying our own photographer we just do not have that in the budget and my FI would think I was crazy. What I am going to do is for my bridal photos coming up. I am getting my make up professional done and hair. I am going to take a ton of pics and have them with me when I am at the resort. And hope and pray it turns out good. I am pretty nervous about it too. Do you know who or where you are getting your hair and makeup done there?

Most of the reviews say that they're not bad but to bring lots of pictures. I've also seen some ladies go do a trial with thier hairdresser and have pictures of each step taken so they have a clear picture of how to do the style you want. Then there's makeup - from other reviews I've read the makeup used at most of these spas (and this isn't specifically for a dreams resort - but just from various reviews I've read) has been described as "wet n wild" quality. I believe there was a girl on the Azul Sensatori thread who found a MAC makeup artist in Cancun but then you get that pesky "outside vendor fee" which might be $500. So I'm trying to sweet talk this woman who works at the Trish McEvoy counter here in Houston to fly to Mexico for my wedding...And if any brides are going to be there around the same time and want to share the services and part of the costs maybe we can fit it in the budget. Okay I just typed this up and I realized that I sound like a total diva - flying in my own people for hair and make up I swear I'm not - I'm just really terrible at doing my own makeup...but my mom is a total diva and momzilla hahaha Hahaha- not I don't think you sound like a DIVA... I mean someone could totally screw up hair and makeup... I am paranoid about it, too.. Maybe that means I am a diva, too ha! Anyhow- I know that a few of you mentioned "outside vendor fees" = what do you mean by this? I know that Ana told me that I could bring my own photographer, but she didn't mention anything about a fee. Also- my brother is marrying us- and she didn't mention a fee on that either? So- if we get our makeup and hair done "outside" of the hotel- we have to pay a fee??

  11. I am getting married at 4pm... (October 24th) - I was told that was a good time. Anyone else? Also- what are you ladies doing about your hair and makeup? I know there are places down there that do it... and if I remember correctly in one of the packages it is included. Have any of you found people to do it down there? Or for anyone that has already gotten married- who did you use? (this is such a hard decision as you cannot really do a trial ahead of time) Thanks a million
  12. Hey.... I know that I can order my flowers and centerpieces through Ana- as she has sent me examples- right? What about all the other things that I need... like chair covers, sashes, etc. I fear that I am going to overlook/forget something?? When should I get on the ball with these things? Thanks!!
  13. I love your BM dresses and your GM shirts! I am looking for something so similar... thanks for posting this!! and Congrats!

I can provide the service for 3 hours at $275.00 USD per hour or 4 hours at $240.00 USD , and the additional hour is $220.00 USD (minimum 4 hours). Tips (10%) for the crew are NOT included. It includes continental open bar and dry snacks. Please, consider $5.00 USD for the Marine Park fee for the people that would like to go snorkeling. Why 4 hours minimum?...just have in mind that we will be sailing most of the time, so you really start to enjoy the trip from the 2nd hour and when you get to the 3rd hour you will really be having a lot of fun!!!!******** I sent an email back to them inquiring about daytime catamarans, I am starting to think maybe a snorkeling cruise would be more enjoyable for my guests, although I still like the idea of a romantic sunset cruise. This company seems to be a better deal than the others, and they hold more people. I will let you know what I hear back from them. Thanks for posting this

I would love to do the paper lanterns but I'm not sure how you would get them to hang outside? p.s. I can already see these great ideas are going to add up to more than I first thought! I am thinking about using papern laterns at our reception, too. If anyone hears back on how (or best way we can do this)- please let me know. Thanks

Quick question-- it seems like the Pool Deck is the BEST place to have the reception. The wood deck and the infinity pool def. make it nice I have also noticed comments about lights around the infinity pool... are these lights ALREADY there?? Or are they something that we would have to add extra?? Thanks!

I believe if comes out to be somewhere near $60pp which is $2400 for 40 people. If you do the love package ($2160) plus the 20 additional in place of the cocktail it is $400 extra, so you are looking at $2560 with the package. You would be paying about $200 more with the package, but you would get some extra things. You could see about making some substitutions for those additional items (videographer in place of photographer?). Do you need your hair done and make-up? That is included in the love package. Look over the additional items and see what works best for you! For us, we are having 40 people and it made more sense you go with the package. Once I started adding things to the free package the price went up quickly! Which package did you go with?
  18. I know I have posted this before- but all of your feedback is SOOOO helpful With having about 40 guests (any my own photographer and own person marrying us) do you think we should do the FREE wedding package (and do everything as a la carte) or do one of the other ones (and just add on the additional people)? We will have about 20 extra- but will not want the cocktail hour either- so is what you are saying is that Ana said we can use that "cocktail hour" to go towards our actual reception?? Thanks.

Earlier in the thread there is information about rehearsal dinners. I want to say that you can have it at the buffet if you'd like, and they could reserve a spot but there is an extra charge per person. We have decided to charter a private catamaran sunset cruise in lieu of a rehearsal dinner. The resort is all inclusive, and again I do not feel it is necessary to pay extra for food! Friday night before the wedding day we are taking a bus to Playa del Carmen and we will go on a two hour sunset cruise. It is about $25 a person with transportation, so we opted to give our guests something different in place of the rehearsal dinner. This is just another option if anyone wanted to do something different! Do you have any more information on this that you can send me? That sounds great!! Also- do you have an idea where (in this post) I could find the info on the rehearsal dinner? I am finding it more helpful to get answers on here than from Ana. Thanks so much!
