This is what she told me.

What price were you quoted originally? And what about now? We were originally not going to use a DJ and now we are thinking we are- so we need to start over with this!

She also has said that I can substitute a bridal bouquet for a centerpiece, but it has to be the same service provider (salon, florist, photographer, ect) What about videographer for photographer? I know that in one of the pkgs you get a 30 min video or video of the ceremony-- does anyone know if we can get that extended or longer in lieu of the photographer?

I just got that too?? Who freaking knows
  5. Sometimes I resend her an email- if I dont get a response after 2 days... also some people on here told me that she will sub out things for others in the package-- she told me she cant... I dont get that and it pisses me off. Anyone??
  6. I am getting SO annoyed as well. Mine isn't until October- but the anticipation of how annoyed I am going to be is killing me, PLUS I cant even plan b/c I do not know the answers to my ??s now!
  7. Angela-- Has Ana let you substitute things from the package? This is my ONLY hesitation from going with the package.... I do not need a minister, photograher or the mexican music set. Will she let us take that out?
  8. What are you guys doing for your music? I did not really like the idea of a DJ BUT for those of you who are not using one and are just using an IPOD... how are you making your reception flow??
  9. So I am having a hard time picking my flowers... haev you guys done that? I guess my "hard time" kind of involves Ana as well...as her answers confuse me. Can we ONLY pick what she sent us or can we pick out what we want and send to her??

RIght now I have 40 people on the guest list, so I would imagine that I'll have 35 show up. I can't decide on which package I want. I know that Dreams Tulum lets people eat off the regular menu for $20p/p instead of the silver or gold menu. Does anyone know? Hey! I have been using them too. I work with Sue Allen. She is great. She helps me with every little decision! We have been working together since the week after I got engaged in November and so far we have about 30 guests booked. I think they are very helpful!!
  11. YAY! I live in the North Raleigh area.... Your wedding is so soon... SO EXCITING!! Are you so ready or what? :)
  12. yeh so I guess keeping it at 4 would be a good idea? I was thinking of moving to 4:30. But if we had it at 4...then the wedding would get over at say 4:30 and then we could do pics till 5 (guests can hang out at a bar at the hotel)-- the one ON the beach with the swings... and the the reception can go from 5-8 I guess. I just wanted a later reception. But I am not crazy about a break in between.

How many hours?

  15. So far I haven't seen or talked to any other NC brides.... are you out there??
  16. I am having my brother preform our ceremony. I feel it will be much more meaningful that some person I do not know. (he is not a minister- but will get ordained)
  17. Any October brides What time is your ceremony? What about your reception? What is your plan? I was thinking of getting married at 4 and then reception right after but now- not so sure... would love to hear what you are doing. Also- with getting hair and makeup done... There is me plus 4 bridesmaids, what time would we need to get started? thanks!

Sometimes the colors look totally different on the computer. Did you (and you Kym) get yours from weddinglinensdirect? And what material are you going with? For the sashs?
  19. For those of you who are getting your linens, bows, etc from weddinglinensdirect.... are you getting them shipped there? Or to you and you are taking them there?

I'm thinking about having the guys wear khaki suits with a turquoise tie. And I've picked out my bridesmaid dresses (in mermaid): David's Bridal - Short Chiffon and Charmeuse Dress with Flower Applique Detail I'm going to bring artificial flowers for the bridesmaid boquets. As of now, we are planning on having the wedding at the gazebo, and I'd like to have a couple of gazebo corsages, along with a nice alter centerpiece. But I'm at a loss for color/flower ideas for those. What about you? I am not sure yet-- I am going to try to figure it all out this weekend.. But I am looking to do something similar-- bm's carry orange and me white. I really love tulips- so I may go that way- or stick with tropical flowers. I don't know??

Ana does not really answer all of the questions you ask. What I have learned to do in writing a email with wedding related things. I will number my questions example 1) Is there a additional price to have a outside photographer? 2) If so how much would the cost be? When they do not answer your question send the email back and say you did not answer number 1 lol This seems to work for some reason. Good luck girl I know it is frustrating it will all work out. hahaha- i do that too... and almost EVERY time I have to say- WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER PART TO MY QUESTIONS?! hha

Also, any other October brides out there...what colors are yall doing? And, is anyone having a gazebo wedding? Hey! I am getting married October 24th. My colors are dark Teal and Orange. (then I will use accents or yellows, white, greens- lighter/brighter) Our wedding time is 4- although I thought about moving it to 4:30?? Not sure-- other girls may be better on the advice here Sunset is about 6:15is towards the end of October!
