Just wanted to verify with anyone else that may know this. We are told that we have to be in Cuba three working days prior to the wedding. I'm booked to get married on a Wednesday at 4pm. Does the Wednesday count as a third day? Can I arrive to Cuba on the weekend and be ok or do I have to arrive on the Friday and the Wednesday is actually day 4 because it is stated to be in Cuba 3 days prior to the wedding? It's confusing to me. Thanks!

Congrats! We just booked the ceremony with the WC and are getting married in July 2010. We are holding off on booking flights until the prices decrease after March. You have plenty of time but it doesn't hurt to secure the date and time.

Hi, my date is set. We're getting married on July 7th at 4pm. Yes you have to be in Cuba for 3 working days (this doesn't include the weekends) before you get married. We are thinking of going for 10 days, so we would leave earlier then our guests and enjoy a few days alone before the chaos begins LOL. I have a friend in Toronto that is a photographer. He hasn't ventured into Destination Weddings as of yet, but I was thinking of asking him what he would charge if he is interested. Let me know if this interests you. He is doing my engagement photos next weekend, so I can find out more when I see him. :-)

Hi, I've just started to plan my wedding for July 2010 in Cuba and since I'm doing most of it on my own, I had a few questions. What do I need to consider in terms of the wedding to be legal on my end? Is there anything I have to do for the marriage certificate? I have friends that used travel agents that are also destination wedding planners and have told me that it is easier to allow them to do everything for them. That is fine, but I have decided to use Sears to book flights since they offer payment plans which would be a nice consideration for my guests. Any advice would be great! Cheers!

Hi, I'm just waiting to confirm dates with Yahimara but we are getting married the beginning of July too. I'm still in the process of searching out a photographer but would be willing to split the costs etc. Let me know!

Wow thats great and I'm jealous. I just started this entire process and I'm feeling overwhelmed. My wedding isn't until July either and we still haven't booked anything yet. We have the resort picked out, but we got some quotes back for flights and they were quite steep. Does anyone have recommendations for a TA in Ontario, Canada?

Hi everyone, I'm still new to all of this and have many questions. I'm thinking of having my July 2010 wedding at Iberostar Laguna Azul. I got a quote back from my TA and it seems quite steep (more than $1400 per person). I know if we wait a bit, prices for July will go down. My question is, can I book the resort for my wedding through the Wedding Coordinator and wait a bit before booking flights? I know a lot of my guests are going to wait until flight prices improve. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Does anyone have a great recommendation for a TA in Ontario, Canada?
