  1. I got it from a guy that sells the 13 DVD set for $50, it's $140 on amazon though. Workouts differ, the ab one is 30 mins, most are an hour, the yoga is 1.5 hrs (which is how long yoga is if you go to a studio). I have Jillian's 30 day shred too, both are great, Jillian's always makes me sweat like crazy and good when you're on crunch time, but there is so much jumping around, my knees started to hurt. I find P90 to be a lot more tolerable and more realistic for me (and he encourages and schedules water breaks into the videos, Jillian makes you feel guilty for stopping to catch your breath)
  2. I would definitely call then! Weekends are bad because they have weddings, but I've had great luck reaching someone at 9 am Mexico time.

  4. I am bringing my own photographer from the states. I found various photographers who I loved, all who regularly charged from $3000-5000 to shoot a wedding locally. I emailed them all an offer that I surprisingly found a lot of them would take! I said, how about a free 3 day all expense paid vacation to Dreams Cancun in turn for shooting my wedding. My photographer and her assistant will shoot 8hrs of my wedding day and a TTD the next day, and what I spent on their trip was less than Juan Navarro charges for 4hrs of shooting. And they are giving me the CD with all pics. They're happy, I'm happy. I highly recommend! And no "vendor displacement" fee by the resort because they are staying at Dreams as a guest.
  5. Abbie, I emailed you too, thanks so much for sharing! I think we're all a little worried about how this will look.
  6. Day 4 down! Went to Costco and got great deals on healthy foods...yeay! And the abs workout really beat...me....down...ouch
  7. welcome! We can do it!! I have to do arms and back today and my arms are still sore from day 1, chest and back! I have to say though, the soreness feels good!
  8. I decided to start a new thread as this is not really a review of the P90X program, but more of a support group. Let's give each other tips, and vent as we go through this together! (If you are looking for these videos, PM me and I'll refer you to the guy I bought it from for a really great price!) I'll go first: Goal: Lose 25lbs, and fit into my dress Start date: 3/1/10 Plan: follow the Classic workout plan and the fat shredder diet it comes with

The ballroom is big and pretty & could be decorated very nicely. But if you're worried about sand, maybe the garden would be good-- it's on grass and it's so pretty and overlooking the water. Thanks so much for posting that! It does look really nice, I wonder how much that decoration cost. The gazebo looked gorgeous too, and she was able to wear hair down with a fingertip veil in the wind too! Thanks so much for the link! One reason I am going more for the ballroom...you can party till 6 in the morning! Ok, so I will prob only go till 1am or so, but I come from a family of partiers and 11pm seems so early.

  11. Has anyone ever celebrated in the ballroom? I know...it seems kind of a waste given the natural beauty there...but I was just thinking in terms of comfort for the elderly family members in our group that may not appreciate sand. (Our group is too big for the club terrace). Has anyone actually seen this ballroom on a site visit? It doesn't look like it even has windows or a terrace in the 2 pics I found.
  12. That's the cost for you the bride, for the BM's it's like $80 a piece for makeup and $60 for hair or something (don't quote me, I can't remember, but I just know it's less than bridal)

I can count on one hand the times I've worn my hair up last year...it's so not me. This gives me hope too! p.s. I think I almost had a seizure watching that video...what a beautiful couple and a gorgeous wedding day, but jeez...no videography skills whatsoever, especially the beginning...is this the resort videographer?

I think I may have been sweating so hard the drops pouring down my face affected my vision, I never realized. I did this once and it took me a week to recover! Made 30 day shred seem like a cinch!
  15. I sent you an email! I'm sure your wedding will still be equally amazing, especially since you'll actually have everyone you love close by!

Also, my mother just informed me that a few guests are staying at another hotel. If we want to go to Azucar after the reception, does anyone know how much they would have to pay? Thanks in advance! Yes, it is now totally different. See the facebook pics a few pages back, and yes I almost cried too. I even went so much as to contact other hotels with more isolated gazebos but by now every place is booked for my month, so I guess I will just learn to deal and love it just the same. When I went down last year, I went to Azucar and cover was $12. It was midnight and there were like 2 people in the club so we went to Mambo Cafe in downtown instead...which was also empty but was packed to the brim by 3am...guess they start their parties late over there! Heard Azucar closes at 7am...I could never hang that long! lol

I saw a picture of that somewhere and it looked fantastic! Coincidently, now my groom wants to wear black, and I am trying to sell these Calvin Klein white linen suit vests (size 40 and 42)...so if anybody is interested...They cost me $75 and $45 obo. PM me for details or pics!
  18. I have 2 white linen vests by Calvin Klein with tags still attached that my groom no longer wants. They're $75 from Macys. I'm selling them for $50 obo... take both size 40 and 42 for $75? Just want to get rid of them. See pics here: Picasa Web Albums - Wedding Sale
  19. I had everything all planned and had finally convinced my groom to wear white...then he changed his mind and found a black tux that he plans on wearing to our beach wedding...lol...what can you do... Now I have 2 of these Calvin Klein linen vests to sell. They are both white linen, one is size 40, the other 42. They match the white linen suit currently at Macy's and Men's Wharehouse. These are $75 originally from Macy's. I will take $50 obo, especially if you take both! (Having trouble uploading, but see pics here: Picasa Web Albums - Wedding vest) Thanks for looking
