I'm planning to bring mine on the plane as well. I do believe my resort offers a steaming service, though. So any wrinkles can be worked out at the resort. One less thing to worry about!

Well, personally, it wasn't that the TA wasn't knowledgable or helpful but just that the quotes were higher than those found on various websites. I wouldn't feel right committing my family members to a higher price when I KNOW that there's a cheaper one out there.

We are having a sunset wedding but doing some photos before the ceremony to get some good shots in the sunshine. We will be legally married here in Calgary before we head down to the DR so I'm not fussed if he sees me before the ceremony. Maybe this is an option for you as well to get the best of both?

Oh I loved the Millenium Trilogy (Dragon Tattoo, Playing with Fire and Hornet's Nest.)They are fantastic books and I'm sure you'll love them! I'm reading the Bottecelli Secret right now and I'm loving it!

I talked to a couple of travel agents here in town. But all their quotes were more expensive than rates I found myself online. So our group is just booking separately and I'm working through the details with the coordinator myself. So far so good! Two more people booked this weekend!! I'm so happy people are coming! haha Hope you ladies had a fun long weekend!

Awesome about a monthly GTG! I am out of town for the long weekend starting tomorrow night - but I'll mark it on my calendar for August re: Photography My good friend is an amatuer photographer. She did our engagement shots and will be travelling down with us to take our wedding photos. I'm very lucky! I was thrilled with our engagement shots so I'm excited to see what she does for the wedding!

I totally agree with this. I'm glad that you figured out your resort, and am sorry you got the run around from security at most places. I am thankful, though, that security is so tight at these places. Makes me feel much safer going there. I'm sure it's a huge weight off your shoulders to have narrowed down the resort so congrats on that!
