  6. I'm not sure about their in house photographer. But if you hire an outside one from Mexico, you have to pay for a room for them for one night to be able to have them do your photos. Or just bring someone with you from home as they will already have to have a room to stay in.

I created my own save the date cards and sent out FAQ's mostly about the booking info for now they are already mailed out. Our wedding is July 8th - BUT guaranteed group rate and reserved rooms come to a close though Jan 15th...so I know I definintely want to post that info and make some personal phone calls to remind people of the deadline!! Join theknot.com (for free) and you can set up a very cute, custom website for free! It has a layout for you so that you don't forget anything. Just started mine and it is easy to figure out. They can also RSVP on the site you create. Good luck!
  8. Very southwest Louisiana here. Born and raised. I love it and wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
  9. Hello Houston! You certainly aren't far from me, I'm in Lake Charles. Congrats on the engagement and planning. You'll find everything you want to know and more on this forum.

I really need to know how to deal with this situation. My Bachelorette party (yes I only get 1) is the same night and I know I won't have any fun if i'm stressing about this. I think one lap dance is enough! FI can watch girls dancing and letting it all hang out as much as he wants, but they better not touch him unless I am there too, lol. Not that I don't trust him. It just grosses me out. But I'd absolutely ask him not to get another one.

What has everyone else done? I know that my co-workers wouldn't make it. I am uncomfortable inviting my boss (husband & wife, older couple) because I think they would come! Sounds terrible, haha. However, it would be awkward because they are so different from my family/friends. Not that I don't think they would enjoy it, but I would feel somewhat obligated to entertain them?? When I told my boss I was having a DW, she said we should close the office that whole week so everyone can go. Not everyone could afford it/would go... just them. But I think it would still be nice for you to invite her even if she can't make it.

I was looking for a dress something like this and had no luck in my town. It's gorgeous though, congrats on the find! And for being a shortie like me. )

We are scheduled to get married in March 2011, but do I offer to push it back to that fall? What would you guys do? How would you react? What a bummer! We were initially planning late October 2010 because I wanted an October wedding. Also, FI's youngest sibling would still be 12 and get child rates at resorts. However, we decided to push it back to April 2011 to give everyone more time to save (especially his family, we won't even go there, they aren't very supportive of our DW decision, but if we get married in the states they would be asked to travel anyway). However, it turned out clever because we want to get married on our 8 year anniversary, April 21 2011. BE CAREFUL with fall.. make sure you plan around hurricane season! Other than that, if you can wait, I guess push it back once as we did so they have less to gripe about?
  16. Congrats on the engaged & 2011 bride club! Glad you finally get to sport your ring. )
