  1. We are doing a very small informal wedding. We are inviting about 20 people and whomever can come, will. All of our guests are aware this is an "informal" wedding and that the normal wedding stuff is not taking place. We are keeping everything simple and with that our costs will be minimal. I will be purchasing something for my BM and his GM, and will be doing OOT bags, but other then that everything is up in the air. So if you do choose having family, all you would really have to worry about would be your travel and wedding pkg costs. Stick with the most minimal wedding pkg bc why not? Your already paying for all your food and drinks, why pay more for some pkg deal? You can still have fun and not be so formal with a reception dinner in a ballroom or on the beach. Have dinner with everyone at one of the resort restuarants. That is at no extra cost. You dont have to pay for anyone's trip or excursions, or do any extras. Its your wedding and no one is going to be upset bc you didnt have decorations or centre peices, or OOT bags or whatever....if family is important - have them there. If your are as important to them as they are to you, then they wont care about all that extra "stuff", they will just be happy to be a part of your special day.
  2. Hey Ladies, Just to let you know, unfortunatley from reading the links in the forum, by asking someone to email you a document or asking for donated points can get you removed from this forum. The only way you will be able to access this information is when you have over 150 posts. Luckily someone informed me of this information before I was removed from the forum. Hope this helps!
  3. Aww so sweet! My guy was working really long hours at this horrible job and he was somewhat grumpy and always tired. So one day out of the blue, I came home to see a little box sitting on my pillow. I opened it to find my first pair of gorgoeus diamond earrings! He said he was happy that I made the best of his bad situation and that he was going to find another job bc it was affecting us and him. I was so excited and they were so beautiful . I loved the earrings but was more excited that he was giving up a horrible job for us and willing to try something new. He is so much happier now at this job.

  19. They look great. I think you should do it if you can afford the extra expense. If you can find somewhere else to spend the money I would bc its just a label. No one will really pay attention to a label. The invites are great and I think people will really like them. I wouldnt myself worry about lables, but thats just my opinion....lol
  20. Wow - Congrats on that! Just so you know, you dont need points to upload the pictures. Just follow the instructions on the forum to do so. Looking forward to seeing the dress!
  21. We are keeping our finances separate too. We do have a joint account that we both contribute the same amount into each month to take care of household bills, mortgage, etc. But otherwise our money is our money and this way we dont have to get into a discussion about what we want to buy. If we want it we get it. My previous marriage we put our money together and that worked too, however I do remember it being a little difficult bc we always had to advise eachother first on what we wanted to purchase. It wasnt always the best thing - I think that is why one of the number one reasons for divorce is finances....lol oh well....to each his own right? Do what works best for you, bc what works best for me may not be in your best interest right?? Good luck
  22. Hello Ladies, Not really sure if Im posting this in the correct area but just wanted to clear up some information regarding the legalities of getting remarried in Mexico. Mexican law stipulates you must be divorced for atleast one year prior to getting remarried in Mexico. Most resorts also tell you that you require your divorce papers to prove it. This is not true, so long as your driver's licence and passport have your maiden name on it, you do not have to provide such information. I got divorced in Sept 2008 and was concerned with all of this paperwork that I had to bring and get translated and so on. I found out that if all of your legal paperwork is in your maiden name, there is no reason to worry. They have no reason to ask for divorce papers bc there is no way of knowing you were ever married previously. I checked on this information with my WC and she said confirmed the above information. Yay! One less thing I need to worry about and have to spend more money on.
