Wow great idea Malisa, I had no idea you could register on Amazon. I shop on there all the time because they have everything you could ever want.

Thanks everyone for the input, it really helps! I think we will register and make sure to let people know to please not feel obligated to get us something especially if they are traveling to the wedding.

Islandbride2b: Great point about getting the gifts home safely. The last time we visited Mexico our bags were stuffed to the limit and we had to weigh each of them to make sure we wouldn't have to pay extra. Between the souveniers and duty free liquor and extra wedding stuff I don't know where we would put them!

I think it is totally fine to invite the people that you want at the wedding. I had a close friend ask me to invite someone I never talk to. I was not quite sure how to react, but I don't want to change the guest list for others. Go with your heart and its completely ok to try and avoid the drama if you feel this is the best way to go.

Have most people registered or plan to register if they are having a destination wedding? I have been going back and forth on the issue. Our guests are going to be paying for their travel and hotel stay already. I don't want them to feel like the have to get us a wedding gift on top of that. On the other hand I think that some guests will want to bring something and I would rather them not have to guess at what we might like. Has anyone else had trouble deciding? Thanks for the input!

I have noticed that many have already booked their dates for the GRP. I am still narrowing down my choices. Does anyone have any information about the wedding packages offered? Hi IndianBride, Did you happen to get a 2009 price list for the weddings at Barcelo Maya? I have only been able to get ahold of the 2008 pricing. Also, does anyone know guests can stay at any of the 5 resorts without having to pay to attend the wedding? For example, if we get married at the Barcelo Maya Palace can guests staying at the Beach/Caribe attend without being charged extra? Thanks!

I think that #1 and #3 are beautiful. It looks like a tough decision though because all the options are goreious. I tend to stay away from the styles that flare out too much, but just my personal preference. You will look so great in any of them.

I love option A. The cut is so flattering and I love the strapless look!
