Anyone know the answers to this?? Thanks so much for your help!! Drink at least 64 oz of water a day. I think it mentions somewhere to stay away from caffeine. I have no desire to stop drinking my morning coffee and I have been drinking coffee every AM.. I would recommend skipping coffee/caffeine during the afternoons and night. During the day I will drink water or decaffeinated unsweetened iced tea. I think you could probably use those crystal light packages, but for me I'm staying away from artificial sweeteners. Sometimes I will squeeze a lemon into the water to give it some flavor. You could also drink those flavored seltzer waters (the unsweetened kinds) they generally have 0 calories and no artificial sweetener.. In general, I think it's best to also stay away from diet soda (even decaf) when dieting... I actually usually try to have a fountain diet coke on my cheat days. Best of luck starting the diet! After the priming phase, it's not bad at all.
  2. It would be great to have a 'shopping deals' section here where we could post information on sales that other BDW members could benefit from. For example, I recently posted this Sephora F&F thread in the for 'buy/sell/trade/freebies' forum -- yet I'm not really buying/selling anything, it's just an announcement of a great sale that ppl may want to know about.. ? In the "shopping deals" section people could post deals and coupon codes, sale information, brick and mortar store sale info, etc Just a thought

Do you need to go in order by week or are they all basically the same with different music? You do a different podcast each week and she changes up the music each week. She based it on the couch to 5k program on Cool Running which you can find here: Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan
  4. Question about the cocktail hour - our ceremony is at 5pm and our cocktail hour is at 6pm. We are doing photos with the bridal party and parents after the ceremony so it is likely that we won't be at the cocktail hour (ten of us). For the cocktail hour, do we pay for everyone at the wedding, or only those that attend? We are only having about 25 people total, so if 10 of us don't go to the cocktail hour, it's a HUGE difference in price.. I don't want to have to pay for 25 people when only 15 will be enjoying it.. .
  5. Rue La La is running a special -- New Rue La La members can get $10 credit when they sign up.. Rue La La is invite only, online sample sale shopping Rue La La Note: the $10 credit offer expires Oct 10
  6. Why doesn't someone confirm the prices before we get all up in arms about it? I will check my pdf when I get home (it's on my home computer). And -- the prices may have gone up but your WC should probably honor the price from whenever you booked your package. Let's get the facts before we freak out And lastly I feel I have to say this -- And I mean this in the nicest possible way - if you don't like the prices (food, photog, add ons, etc) book someplace else. Nobody is forcing you to pick the Barcelo maya palace.

  8. It's early this year Sephora Friends and Family 20% off: Oct.19-Nov.2 code: FF2009 I think it's online only, so get to Sephora and try on what you like then order it online during the F&F

I ended up using a newer line called Cargo, and got their mattifying primer, with just their blu-ray powder. No foundation, and the coverage is fantastic! I did end up going with make up forever foundation just in case, which is also very photo friendly. Only smashbox, cargo, and make up forever are really formulated for photography...i even took pictures with my normal every day origins make up, and my newer make up to see the difference. origins is great during everyday use, but is definitely lighter and shinier in pictures! I can't believe i didn't find this out til now! Mac isn't bad, I ended up getting my eye make up there, because it was a little less pricey! I hope this helps. I hear amazing things about laura mercier, but unfortunately, the girls at sephora said it probably won't do the trick for the wedding! Also, they said the stay on power of Cargo is fantastic, and so far i'd agree...i've been wearing it for a few days to get used to it. The absolute no no is bare minerals. That stuff not only broke me out, but has a high level of light reflecting "minerals" as well! Thank you ! I will check out cargo next time I am at Sephora. (BTW Sephora friends and family is coming up soon (early this year)... 20% off everything Oct.19-Nov.2 code: FF2009
  10. another week almost done... It's amazing how fast the weeks fly by! this week i started the couch to 5k routine from cool runnings... I have done 2 out of the 3 runs for this week and the only problem so far is my legs are so sore the next day (which I know is a good thing). I have to do the 3rd run tomorrow then on to week 2. It's not that bad in week 1 but I'm afraid for weeks 3+.... hopefully the intervals really work and my stamina will be built up. keep up the good work ladies!! btw, I have podcasts of the c25k to popular music.. they rock. No looking at your watch while running, she voices over the music and tells you when to warm up, walk, run, etc. her website is Inside the Mind of Suz and you can find the podcasts (and an rss feed) on the 'podcasts' page. Beware because 'ass' is in the URL, it's blocked for me at work so I had to get from home. (There's no offensive content on the site though)

I am not going to book it until the prices drop .. currently for july 2010 they are about 20% off of the rack rate.. i think around $200? But as it is low season, the will drop to 30-50% off in my experience.. probably in the spring..
  12. pretty dress.. can you also post measurements? ty

What is your opinion?? Hi, we are using moments that matter Moments That Matter Photography and imho they are quite reasonable . Besides the gorgeous photos, I picked them because they provide you with the high-res images.. so I can make my own album/book/prints however I like.. also they are 2 people so you get each shot from 2 perspectives... -- I do have to book them a room at the barcelo for the wedding night to get around the 'no outside vendor' policy, however I would've had to do that anyway as we are having the TTD shoot the next day. I did confirm with my WC (Claudia) that they can still attend the wedding at the Palace even if they are booked into the Beach, Colonial, or Tropical (so it saves a few $$) I def. think it's worth it to hire a good photographer -- what better way to remember one of the most important days of your life.... For me, I'm not having a videographer -- I doubt I will re watch the wedding day and I don't think my friends/family will want to sit through a DVD Pictures are good enough -- imho even better
  14. Jill, great job getting through the priming phase!! The worst is over! Now you're never more than 6 days away from a cheat day Kristy, congrats on your week 1 weight loss!! You're lucky to have someone to do the diet with -- makes meal planning and such much easier. Keep it up!
  15. Found a coupon code for 15% off a purchase of $75 or more at Ann Taylor Loft 15% off any order $75 or more with code 104002172 (9/4/2009 - 10/5/2009) Note: I have no idea if it actually works, but it's worth a shot! Edit: code FALL20 will take 20% off all regular priced fall items. (expires 9/27)
  16. I would recommend ann taylor loft, ann taylor, banana republic, or j crew. They are a bit pricey but you get a discount in most places for opening a charge. Ann Taylor loft is probably the least expensive of the list and I have found their clothing to be high quality and will look professional for the office. www.anntaylorloft.com There are some great pieces in the ann taylor loft sale section...
  17. congrats Kathy and Lisa!! I am posting a 1 pound loss this week as well...
  18. The beach reception in the strawberry passion uses the "gala menu" ... I don't have 2010 menu yet but looking at the 2009 the menu is significantly better than the menu's included in the lower packages. So that contributes to the cost.
  19. kathy I ordered some of that choco/pb protein shake mix... thanks for the recommendation. I am getting a bit tired of the EAS vanilla whey...
  20. yah lunch is tough.. I generally do a grilled chicken breast + for the fat either goat cheese, walnuts, almonds, cheese stick, or celery stuffed with cream cheese...
  21. It just seems logical.. there's a minimum post count to download attachments but none for listing items for sale? Selling/buying should be a privilege here and only for 'established' members... just my .02 (again)
  22. Why is it that ppl that say, "there's nothing wrong with me" are always the ones with the MOST wrong??
