Hi all Well my wedding is coming up Feb 18th, still not sorted! Need to get dress fittings, favors, final numbers table plans etc!!! I've sent an email to the hotel asking about what kind of things we can hire for table decorations ie candles, lights... Im traveling from England, and have a tight luggage allowance, so cant really carry much stuff over. I'm happy to buy things once I get there is need be. Just feeling a little stressed now. Worried about having the correct paper work for my legal wedding (think I only really need birth cert. the other stuff I get there). REALLY worried that people will be bored. I keep jumping between having a DJ vs Ipod. There's only 30 guests, so feel like having a DJ is a waste and that it would be better just to use the hotel disco...AGGHHHH !!! Hope everyone else is doing well.x

Hey everyone Hope all the planning is going well. Im really not much further forward, hence the lack of posts. Getting married Feb 18th, 22 people are booked, still waiting for about 20 more. Get married at 4.30pm, then having Moments that Matter photographers to do our pictures. Was thinking about just sending people to the P.C.O.B whilst getting our pics done. Then looking to have the buffet there. I was really stuck about what to do for entertainment. Was thinking about hiring a band or something just for an hour or so during the photo time. Not too sure what to do about music during the meal. What do you think? Was just going to have my i-pod and hire the speakers and mic for speeches. Then once we have all had food, and some drinks take the party to the hotel disco. Not doing a first dance, or cutting of the cake. So don't think we really need a DJ to sort music and introductions. Do you think that sounds ok?

I have to say number 2, it stands out more.

Im going with Moments that Matter, they have been great at getting back to me, they always seem to reply within a few hours, they seem really friendly which I want. i think its important to be comfortable and have fun with the photographer, that way the photos will be more natural (in my opinion). I have also read great reviews about them.

Hey welcome to the site! Im also getting married at the CAT in Feb 2010. Theres so much info on here, make sure you read the CAT post, lots of good things. I will let you know how my hunt for fire dancers go and will pass on all info.

I am so sorry that you had that experiance. I hope your guests took some nice pictures for you. I know you only have the one wedding day, but remember you have a future of amazing moments together, so make sure you have a camera on hand!!!

Im paying for my 2 BM dresses and the flower girl dress. I really dont think there is a right or wrong way of doing things. I love that people are re-wearing dresses, nothing wrong with that!

Hey! The lanterns are great. I'm using them for my wedding. I checked with the airlines and you can take them on the plane as they do not have liquid in them. You have to take them in your hold, not hand luggage. Thanks for posting those prices. I was worried that people were going to have to pay for drinks at the reception (which wouldnt make sense at an AI hotel). I am planning on using the hotels hair and makeup people, sure they will be fine.

I really hope that people cant get in! Not planning on doing OOT bags. Its a lovely idea, but I know what my lot are like, they will have everything that they need. Plus I dont want to carry them. Lazy? Yes I am. Only things I'm taking are my dress, BM dresses, favors and lanterns. Will buy some mexican style bits when I get there for the tables: maracas, tequlia and shot glasses maybe. Keeping it simple.

I love your pictures. I think the TTD photos are just so so sexy. Beautiful.

I think its great! Well done. I have to do this type of thing. I just hopeless with technology. Yay to you.

Know they are 9USD if you want drinks on the beach after the ceremony, hope this is different for the evening reception! Im going to contact them back in October for details. I would wear my dress for sure. Any excuse to put it on as many times as possible. But each to their own. It is nice for people to see it, and it saves having to think of what to wear!

Did people have to pay for drinks during the wedding reception? Im thinking I will have the private dinner (menu posting was a great help), and hire the chill out bar for the meal/DJ/dancing. I know they say there is a 500USD hourly fee, plus meal and DJ, the cost keeps adding up....
