Your 2000.00 pp is right in line with what we were quoted,flying from Alberta. The best price we could get was about 2100.00 at the majestic and it looked gorgeous. We also had to wait until the fall pricing came out. Flying from the eastern and southern states is so much cheaper they can afford these types of resorts. The best we could do was 1500 +300 in taxes with Air Canada Vacations, and we have to fly via Toronto. We are going to the Bavaro Princess, in November, and it looks like it will be lovely. There are mixed reviews but I talked to someone that had gone last November and it was great he said.Good luck , this was way harder than we thought.

I'm guessing that you have the wedding package price list. I'd love to see this since I have not heard back from the wedding coordinator. You could email me at [email protected] . So this package probably would not include the hotel. We are quoted just over 1800 from calgary, and this is air and hotel, but nothing to do with the wedding.

So sorry to hear about the waste of money. We're looking at this resort and can't afford something like this. It is a good warning about paying upfront,however, we won't be having the private reception. Did you like your rooms and everything else at the resort?

Hi midnight24. We are seriously considering this resort for a wedding in November. Flying from the west is more expensive than Toronto so the package for this hotel is reasonable,compared to some and it is kid friendly. I've read on trip advisor that the rooms need updating, and there were some really poor ratings-What was your opinion of the rooms? Where did the bride get married, beach or gazebo? We're thinking of having supper in one of the a la cartes and then just going to the disco. Do you have any info on the disco? Love to hear any and all comments. Thanks so much.

Copita, could you email some pics and wedding info if possible? Their prices are a little better than some of my first choices, especially if their are kids going as well.

I am having the same problem. The Paradisus properties are expensive. I've got some rates for the majestic colonial, around 2100.00, and the melia is nearly as much. I'm also looking at the Bavaro Princess and the Oceans Blue by H10 seems a little better priced. I am having a hard time making a decision since money is a factor.

Good Luck, especially if you are from western Canada. All the group prices are coming in near the 2000.00 mark and up.

Hi there. Definitely a newbie, it took half an hour to figure this out. I've read lots of messages however. I'm planning on getting married in Nov. in Punta Cana. Originally wanted Jamaica, but the prices are too high. I've waited for the prices to come down,flying from Alberta, but they are not much lower. I love reading everones reviews.
