Do you mean in a room with adults? If so no there is not a min age. I have a 2 year old and my Future sister in law has a 2 year old and 2 months old twins. If you mean in a room alone, I think that they need to be 18!

I'm not sure who it goes to or what that process involves, but I did submit a request for a TA. I've seen a few on here that are Sandals specialized and such, but I was hoping for one that was neutral and not commited to a specific resort. I'm praying for a good lead. :-) Thanks!!! Hey Bop! Welcome to the forum! You are going to amazed at the amount of info on here, speaking from experience, i racked my brain looking for a resort. I wanted EVERYTHING that you wanted, and my search lead us to Playa del Carmen, not too far from Tulum. We chose the Playacar Palace...Why you ask...Here are my top 10 reasons, not in any order (keep in mind I do not work for the hotel, this is strictly my opinion and reasons for my choice, Tammy can vouch for me, bc I used her to guide me, but I will get to that later) 1-Family friendly/has babysitting available 2- Is a somewhat smaller AI 3- Was right next door to 5th Ave. ( bars, restaurants, & shopping) 4-Stay at 1 play at all (Palace resorts are all over Mexico, so for the younger guests, they can take a shuttle to Cancun and hang there all day and night and eat and drink, for the older folks that want to take the ferry over to Cozumel, the same applies) 5- The amazing deals that the bride & groom get for booking a certain number of guests as a group 6- Most excursions are included (IE: snorkeling, zip lining, trips to the ruins) 7-The decor is contemporary 8-The food and service was amazing! (we went for a size visit) 9-What my guests get for their $$$ 10- I can bring my Photog/chose my own DJ To date, I have had nothing but a wonderful experience dealing with the wedding coords. on site at the hotel and in Miami. I highly suggest using one of the TA on here, I went to Tammy and she guided me in the right direction, all of my guests have had nothing but nice things to say, and I love it bc I they have 1 or 2 go to people, therefore not driving me nuts. I too am sorry for the long post, but I was in the same situation as you! I hope I helped a little bit! ~Tanya

Hi Aly, YES, I actually took some from the bottom of the bag bc it was too big...I have 2 sports bottles, pashminas for the ladies, and a bunch of MISC crap...so Yes I def think that they will be big enough, I too am only doing 1 per room. Just make sure that you order the "large" bags. ~Tanya

He loves it too... he tries it on like 10 times a day! He's worse than me with dress #1! Here's my wedding news today: bought a BM dress for my sis... and she loves it so we're golden. Look at us go Slackers Club!!!! LOL... It was actually my moms idea, I never would have thought of it! Tanya, congrats on getting the dress quickly, I actually called them when I received the email saying the dress was in. I only try mine on once a month to see how it fits and dance around for a bit. Thanks Ladies, But I knew it was too good to be true!! I went to pick it up and it looked like CRAP!!! There were pulls in it and the beading was coming off...but they handled it really well, first they tried to convince me to have the seamstress fix it but I wasn't buying it!! The manager came and looked at it and she reordered it. PS. I marked it in a hidden spot, just in case they try to fix it and give it back to me!!! I will keep you posted!
  15. Ok, so I just got a message from David's Bridal today that my dress is in...VERY FAST. In regard to the OOT bags, I got mine from OT and they were .83 each...they are perfect and will travel well!! Large Hibiscus Tote Bags

No its never too early!!! Especially with a destination, gives people time to plan and pay for their trip. My invites went out in the beginning of April. As for your dress...Girl you better get on it!!! Unless you plan on buying at a sample sale or off of the rack someplace. I bought my dress at David's Bridal in April and it won't be in until July. They are usually faster then smaller bridal shops. Good Luck!!!! Keep us posted!

In addition, I posted this on my website, on the accommodations page "Please note that Guests considering a resort other than the Playacar Palace, must purchase a wedding pass upon their arrival to the resort. Wedding passes are $88.00 USD per person. Wedding passes are guaranteed for purchase only on the ceremony date. (October 10, 2010)"

We went down in January for a site visit and looked at four hotels total - Playacar Palace was our favorite HANDS DOWN. I read one of the reviews on Trip Advisor about a guy saying the music was "cheesy" at PP and that he didn't like the food. He also said he ended up at the Fairmont Mayakoba.... and spent twice the amount of $$ on his room. I am familiar with both hotels.... Playacar Palace is all an inclusive, intimate resort on the edge of Playa del Carmen (walking distance to 5th avenue). The Fairmont Mayakoba is a sprawling resort (only 4 years old), NOT all Inclusive, and about 20 minutes from town. It's like comparing apples to oranges. The Playacar Palace has been nothing but WONDERFUL to work with in planning stages - and I can't wait to go back in November Please let me know if you girls have any other questions! I am with Steph on this one! My experience was just the opposite when we were there as well!

Picasa Web Albums - Stephanie - Playacar Palace Great Pics Steph! Thanks for sharing! In the pic with the centerpieces, what is the story w that, are they the ones that they are charging for or that other brides left behind? I was hoping to do my own, and planned on buying the vases at walmart, but the tall ones in the pic are exactly what I need, without the stuff inside of course!

If you thikn you will book at least 75 total room nights, that's the only way to go.... you'll have your room paid for, as well as unlimited free events! It really is one of the best deals around. I have some pics from our visit in January if you'd like me to send them to you!? Sorry Steph, I am snooping on your post. I was there last September, but I love seeing other girls pics...Could you send them to me too? Have any of you ladies decided what you are doing for music. Gilberto got me in touch with a DJ, but I cant find any reviews about them.

Tanya Marie - thanks for the idea of the using "Mexico" as the opening song on the site - I borrowed that from yours! Here's a peek - please feel free to use any info you find helpful! http://www.WeddingFiesta2010.com NO Problem, I am glad that you were able to use it! Your website came out great! Did the hotel or TA confirm that there weren't balconies in the "deluxe" categories? This is the first I am hearing this, and most of my guests are booked in that category.
  25. Hi Girls, I too was worrying about this in the beginning, but I noticed that on the Palace website (i am assuming some of you are referring to the palace resorts by mentioned all the freebies) it says that day passes are only guaranteed the "day of the wedding" therefore guests cant just come an hang out when ever they want. So once I started telling the people that were considering other resorts they decided that it was better to just stay at the palace. I am not sure hoe strict they are with the policy but it must be in writing for a reason, no? Also, on my website under accommodations I said this...Guests considering a resort other than the Playacar Palace, must purchase a wedding pass upon their arrival to the resort. Wedding passes are $88.00 USD per person. Wedding passes are guaranteed for purchase only on the ceremony date. (October 10, 2010) All in all...we cant tell people where to stay and it was something that I had no control over, so I stopped thinking about. The people that stay else where will be peaking over the fence, thinking DAMN...we should have just stayed there, they are having so much fun!
