  1. Hi Tabby! I brought everythign myself, originally they told me that they were going to charge me to have someone set it up, (which I was fine with, it was something so small like $100 [but dont quote me]) but in the end they never charged me for it.
  2. It was perfect! Yes, we brought our ouwn Ipod and doc and they plugged it in for us, perfect for back ground music. Thank you, I actually brought everything with me, including the vases, I actually left the vases there...most of what I had left I am selling if anyone is intrested. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/65901/wedding-leftovers-for-sale/40#post_1646399
  3. Yes, I got them there, but in order for them to be the same color & size i went down there the month before and ordered them. I then picked them up when we got there. They were not personlaized, they all had the same sunset picture painted on it and they said Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
  4. Everything in post #37, with the exception of the vinyl bags I only have 5 of those left.
  5. Bump....Ladies, Making room for baby #2 Need everything out!!! Make offers!!! The last few posts show most of what is left. Please also send me an email to [email protected]
  6. Hey Girls, I had my cocktail on the Cielo Terrace, it was great, they set up a bar and some cocktail tables with the buffet (just appitizers) in the center, there are comfy outdoor couches and it was perfect. The resort does not allow you to ship. I brought everything down there a couple of months before the wedding, bc you are all right, btw dresses, suits, luggage etc. it is way too much, and the airlies are charging a ton these days... FOr the girls flowers, I think I posted here someplace, but if you stay w the resort, I chose the "tossing bouquet" for them and it was perfect!! My center piece flowers, I got from a "hole in the wall" florist across from Walmart on the back end...I think I paif around $70.00 for 80 CallaLillies.
  7. My receiption was in the solarium, and some stayed lit and others didn't. It really depends on the weather.
  8. Email your fusturations and exactly what happend to [email protected] (lorena) and CC everyone that you have had contact with. Something similar happened to me, I told them I was walking w all 70 something guests and 100 something room nights! Never had the problem again...
  9. I reserved my locations 14 months prior to my wedding. We went there for a site visit, and selected the locations. If you know what you want and the times, I would just email whom ever you are dealing with now and tell them.
  10. I designed my bouquet and they didnt charge me anything. For my girls I chose their "tossing bouquet" I also designed them and they didnt charge me anything extra. I did use a local florist for my center piece flowers though and they were SOOOOOOO much cheaper. I only used the PP for my flowers bc they were included in the comp. wedding package, and I wanted them to all match.
  11. No problem, I am glad to help all of you, bc when I was planning the PP was not that popular, so I had to go to Mexico for my answers!! I am so happy that all of your weddings turned out as you dreamed!! As did mine! ~Tanya

  13. No they didn't get in eachothers way it was fine. Just give your photogs a list of must have pics. We were there more than the 7 nights so we got upgraded 7 nights bc of booked rooms, then used our vacation dollars for the other nights, bc originally we were going to have to move from the regualr room to the suite!
  14. Most of the things can't be booked until you are at the resort, unless that has changed.
  15. It is a good way to use the credit though, if they let you. We upgraded our room, golfed, went on excursions, and still had vacation dollars left...so I put it toward that.
  16. Hi Tara, I didnt do this but I dont think that it would work. I have my reception in the south sol. there are rooms facing the space so there are balconys...If you look off to my right shoulder that is the south solarium, you can see they are setting up some tables, but if you look at the building that this what is looks like all over so there really isnt solid building that I rememebr...
  17. I did pocket invitations and one of the cards was "Accomodations" with Teresa's info on it, then put the the pricing details on my website.I Vistaprint always has free stuff you could do a postcard style card once you have all the info ironed out. Here is my website feel free to borrow what ever you need from it. http://www.mywedding.com/pieroandtanya/index.html
  18. I used Teresa too! She matched the prices on Expedia, was able to release rooms, and handled everything for my guests! She was a HUGH assest to our wedding! I would highly recommed her, she will even watch the prices for you so one less thing you have to do.
  19. I am not sure about 5th Ave. but there are many places close by, including a MEGA or walmart, that you can get both the fruit and flowers.
  20. I ddin't have an outside Photog but I did hire an outside DJ. Which I had to pay a day pass for and it was fine. Lorena, is by far the most amazing person and will not do you wrong! She is in the manager of the WC, she will come through on everything that she promises. So, I know that it is stressful, but don't worry, she is the best!
  21. I am not sure what his current rates are but YES I would recommend them...they are great and not 1 person was sitting...He is def cheaper than the resort...who uses JSV.
