Diva, We brought just about everything with us because we are very particular people with what we like. We did not bring the linens or the chair sashes however I would bring your own chair sashes because it cost $2.50/sash to rent. I made all of the paper items (program, napkin insert, pieces for our OOT bags). I made the ribbon things that went around the napkins. Let me know if you have questions on anything specific with our decor. I'm not sure what you mean by the resort staff taking photos. Do you mean photosouvenier the resort photographer? If so then we did not. We flew in our photographer for three days. Many of the other girls used them and had great pics. There are photos throughout the thread that you might be interested in. I do know that each package includes some photography we just didn't use it. Dolce, I'm so glad you are back on here you have a lot of great information to share and you helped me immensley.

I'm soooo very sorry to hear this stroy. That poor little girl. It's just not fair. My husband works at Childrens Hospital Boston and shares stories like this with me. It breaks my heart. My prayers are with you and her family.

You can see in my pics that my dress wasn't to big. It did have some toole but not much. There could be a breeze depends on the weather. We did not have any breeze. Mercy discouraged having people go back to their rooms because people come back late, fall asleep, etc. You only have from 7-10 so you don't want people to be late. If you read a few posts ago I covered the bugs.

Yes, the restaraunts are air conditioned however you can not have a dj in the restaraunts because they are all connected. The only one I think you might be able to do is the Asian but it also depends on what restaraunt is closed on the day of your wedding.

We had our wedding at 4:30 and it was hot as he**. The guys sweat through their shirts under their suit coats. I was sweating under my dress. It was warm but it is DR so it is to be expected. Our reception was equally as hot. We were SWEATING. Hence people jumping in the pool. Our timing was a little different because we didn't want a gap between cocktail hour and dinner. You can't start your dinner at the pool before 7:00 and it can only go until 10. This was our schedule 4:30-5:00 ceremony 5:00-5:30 group photos 5:30-6:45 cocktail 7-10 reception And ABSOLUTELY bring all of your documents, confirmations and detials with you. This really helped me because they or my TA screwed up our room category upgrade and we only got the correct room because I had my confirmation.

I think the bugs depend on the season and the weather. When I went the year before our wedding to plan I didn't see one bug and it was October. This time it was much different. I would ask the WC for their opinion on alternate location. I had the WC book the DJ. I emailed him after just to go over details. I would tell the WC sooner than later that you would like them. DJ Mannia is the dj the hotel uses I didn't research any others. You could always email them too just to be sure of availability. Debbie

There are sand fleas and crazy amount of mosquitos on the beach at night. We had our cocktail hour there and they had to move because it was so bad. I know others have done the beach but don't know their experience.

I really wouldn't worry about much. I am one of the most particular people you will meet and I did not have one complaint about our wedding. I planned every last little detail and it was executed perfectly.

The table linens, napkins and chair covers are all white. They have some chair sashes but if you ahve a specific color you want I would bring your own. I assumed they would have something and I ended up spending $2.50/sash when I could have bought them here for far less.

I feel so badly that this has happened to you. I had a 3 year relationship when I was younger and my bf had another girlfriend. I can't even imagine what you must be feeling that this is your husband doing this. You have to go with your gut, really. Don't try to make excuses because if you are thinking something it is probably true. I can't give you advice because I don't know either of you but I do know that being married is a lot different than just a bf doing this. If you truly love each other you will find a way to make this work.

My husbands family lives in Santo Domingo which is closer to Haiti than Punta Cana (about 150 miles away) and they felt a little shaking but nothing serious at all. His dad was taking a nap and never felt it.

Let me see if anyone will take the 3 polka dots together in the next few days if not I'll do it seperate. I will get a quote for you for shipping it's on my way home. I'll let you know by Friday if that's ok. I didn't really see the boys using their bag but like you I wanted to put all of the stuff in something. I just thought it looked better. ewam is an awesome site. Especially for DW stuff and it didn't look or feel super cheap like some other sites I looked at. Debbie
