  1. I am glad I waited till I found THE one. I had almost bought a Nicole Miller about three weeks earlier b/c it was such a good price, but I'm glad I didn't! This is my dream dress
  2. Thanks again guys! If anyone wants any info on some used dress websites feel free to ask as I think I have found EVERY one of them!!
  3. They work now! I love your photos you look GREAT! And I love your BM's shoes! Congrats on your wedding, it looked beautiful!
  4. WOW! Micael did an amazing job with your photos, they turned out awesome and I can't wait to see the rest of them! You look gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your pics and congrats on your wedding!
  5. HI! Welcome to the forum. There is LOTS of information about resorts and hotels in the Jamaica forum. You can also check out rates and reviews on tripadvisor.com Good luck with your planning!!
  6. They look so good I had to do a double take with the pictures. They look like they CAME that way from the store!! You did an amazing job!
  7. I love the idea, sand pails are really cute!! But I also agree with everyone else that getting them there may be abit of a pain, but I'm sure you could figure a way to get them there if thats really what you want.
  8. Thanks again everyone! And I do recomend buying a pre-owned dress(to anyone who hasn't bought their dress yet). The Savings are GREAT! The girl I bought my dress from paid $600, then had all the alterations done (approximately $200) and then drycleaning after (approximately $50) which adds up to her paying around $850 for the dress in the end. I was able to purchase it from her for a very low price of $350, saving more than HALF!!! The brial store in the town closest to me (I live in a very small town, no bridal stores at all) wanted $700 for that same dress. As long as the person hasn't worn the dress for a TTD, then they are usually in GREAT shape (and if not the seller usually lets you know). My dress for example only has one small flaw. At the back, there is a zipper closure with a small hook and loop at the very top..well the hook is there but the loop is missing. It's like a 10 cent piece that my seamstress said she could sew on for less than 5 dollars!! Its so simple I could probably do it myself and save the money for a coffee, hahaha..
  9. Thanks guys!! I am VERY excited to see it! I picked this dress b/c of the material it is made of..it is just perfect for a DW..it's made of jersey and lace..its a nice light lace, the dress is so comfortable! I wanted something I could wear ALL day so it couldn't be heavy and I didn't want to sweat in it (who does).

  11. I LOVE the way you incorporated the sash with the Ireland dress!! You look absolutely gorgeous! I especially like the idea of the four leaf clover..nice personal touch!
  12. Ok, so I know I'm new to this forum and you guys probably don't know who I am, but I am REALLY excited and I had to share with someone!! After months of searching I had found my DREAM dress (a Maggie of course) BUT with me trying to do EVERYTHING "green" (as much as I can at least) I had made the decision that I wanted to by a 'pre-owned' wedding gown (reuse and save $$). I figure I will only wear it once, and it's only been WORN once..so why not. I looked at MANY different websites and searched for about two months and then I found IT!! I emailed the girl and we corresponded for about a month. After nailing all the details down (and finding out that we had the EXACT same measurements) I decided to go ahead and buy the dress. She lived about 19000 km away from me, but only 7km away from one of my bridesmaids, who went on my behalf (god bless her) and looked at the dress many times for me and eventually bought it for me. It is now sitting in her closet waiting for me to come down and get it!! I am SOOO excited! I have afew pictures of the dress that are from the original owner on HER wedding day that I've posted!! It is the Maggie Sottero JD2003, and I got it at a STEAL of a price!! The last photo keeps turning out kinda wonky for me, but I still like it. I hope the pictures work....I've never posted pictures before!!
  13. I like 36 because of the neckline and side gathering...very nice on you!!! But I would say my favourite is #46...I love the sweetheart neckline on you, the criss crossing of the fabric over the mid section makes your top half look longer and leaner, especially with the row of crystals.....it hits in just the right spot and the dress looks beautiful on you (again..just in my opinion). LOVE you in #46!!!
  14. Happy Planning! I am in a similiar situation as my FI and I had been planning an at home wedding but recently squashed that idea and have choosen a DW. It was our original idea about a year ago but felt pressured to have an at home wedding by our families.
  15. That is soo exciting!! I wish I was at that step!! Congrats
  16. I say the same thing! It's YOUR day so do what YOU want. My FI and I had been planning an 'at home' wedding, but because of the economy have decided to do a DW instead. Lately all I have been hearing from family and friends is how upset they are that we are going away (b/c of the cost to go away) and how 'disappointed' some of my family members are b/c they won't be able to see us get married. All that I can say is in the end "I" don't want to be disappointed with my wedding day, so I'm doing it MY way!!! If it's important for someone to see you get married it shouldn't matter where you are as long as your all together. If they have a problem with Cabo I would just say "see you when we get back then". Enjoy YOUR day....and do it YOUR way!!!
  17. I dont know about the Tensing Pen but tripadvisor has some GREAT reviews on Sunset at the Palms. That was my number one choice for a long time and we almost booked but my fiance talked me out of it due to the fact that alot of our family is coming and they all have young children (all under . So now we are back at square one trying to find a new resort. Good luck though, if you just type in wedding and sunset at the palms in the search box on tripadvisor they should show up! There are also afew pictures on there that some brides have posted, very beautiful!
  18. Ok "PHEW"....I was really worried about that. I also saw that the Starfish Trelawny is supposed to turn into a Breezes!! I just read that online the other day and some of my family was disappointed as they had stayed there before and had wanted to go back when we went for the wedding. We are still having such problems finalizing where we want to go, but now that I know that Beaches Negirl ISN'T turning into a Breezes I feel abit better (as it was one of our top 3). Thanks alot for the info Jennifer!!
