I am nervous about booking.... I had narrowed down my choices to three different resorts, the starfish trelawny, and then the two beaches resorts in Negril, leaning towards Beaches Negril out of all three. We were leaning towards that one b/c of the Seasame Street characters and large waterpark as we have alot of guests with younger children(8 and under). I also really liked some of the wedding packages they have available. Now here is my problem. I have heard afew rumors running around that as of November 09 the Beaches Negril resort will stop being a Beaches resort and is turning into a Breezes resort. I just was wondering if anyone else had heard any information about this Also, has anyone done a wedding at Beaches Sandy Bay and how did you liked the resort and everything? Thanks Alot!!

I know this is an old thread but I just had to post this. I had a friend who just got married this past January at the Starfish Trelawny and she LOVED it. She brought her daghter with her and said she loved staying there. There's lots to do and lots for the kids to do! The resort is slightly outdated looking, but other than that its fine. She said one of her favourite things about staying there was the size and that you don'e feel overcrowded(and the price)!! I am currently debating between the Starfish Trelawny, and the Beaches resorts...

Thanks alot for the answers to those questions! My FI was debating using a TA verses booking online and I was very wary of booking online. Now I definitely am and feel like a TA is the best way to go.........now just to find one!

WOW I am also shocked by the response you got from Elite! That kind of attitude is disgusting and I would have LOST IT! You are a paying customer, whether or not you have been on your trip already or it is coming up is regardless, you should be treated with respect AT ALL TIMES and I would not have put up with tha kind of bull!! I am so sorry that you had to deal with such a rude insenstive TA and thank you for creating this post to warn other to-be brides (like me)!! I know I will NOT be using Elite now!! Thank you!

I have been wondering the same thing and am happy to hear that most TA's will try to match a price if not beat it. I Am so glad I found this website..I've only been on for like 48 hrs and so many of my questions are already being answered!!

Hi. I was just wondering if by any chance I could get help from a TA who specializes in Canadian brides and also in Jamaica. I am just in the starter stages of planning and live in a VERY small city without a TA. If I could get ANY help at all that would be great!!

This is one of the issues I am having. My FI is freaking out about not being able to get prices and booking info for our 2010 wedding, so much so that we are having a hard time even picking a resort!!!

Thanks for the review! My fiance and I havent finalized what resort we would like to go to and your review has helped! I am REALLY stressed out and the wedding is still a year away! I have been looking at websites galore lately and feel like all the information has just collided in my head and I have no idea what to do next!!!
