Does anyone know if carnival lets you have candles in the rooms? I want to put a scented candle in each bag, but won't if they can't be lit.

I am trying to get my invitations together for our wedding. We will be getting married in Cozumel during a Carnival Cruise. Can any of you let me know how you worded your invites? We plan to get married on the shore with a reception on board after, but I'm not sure how to word the where and when on the invite. THANKS.

I had trouble finding a cake topper too, as I didn't want a standard bride and groom or monogram. I found a simple heart topper at WeddingMountain.com. They had a TON of different kinds though, so it may be a website worth checking out. Good luck.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think its the following.....For a legal wedding you must be there 3 full days prior to the wedding. (not including holidays or weekend)

Has anyone tried walkie-talkies while in Punta Cana? I was thinking of using them for the immediate family to contact each other while at the resort instead of everyone having to switch to international cell coverage?

Does anyone know if the Majestic's pool is chlorine, salt water or a saline solution? As in, the chemicals they add to keep bacteria, etc at bay. THANKS!

I called reservations at the Majestic yesterday and they told me they wont have rates to book rooms for 2010 until May. Not sure how accurate that is, since people going through a TA already have confirmed rooms, but it's what he said. Makes me rethink going through a TA to be able to book sooner.

I can confirm that what ebredhawk said is correct for the Majestic resorts as well. It is due to the judge, who doesn't schedule 2010 until April 2009. I too switched to a symbolic wedding so I could book sooner and get the date I was interested in. Also, then nothing has to be translated, any my guests can hear our vows in english.

Has anyone been able to book their rooms for 2010? I have tried to book online but they only book up to December 2009, and I can't seem to get a response via email or get connected to an english speaking reservations clerk. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Other then Photo Souvenior and Tropical Pictures, are there any other photographers in the Punta Cana area for weddings? Has any/everyone had a good experience using the resort photographers? THANKS! I am ideally wanting more pictures then the resort photographer provides, but less than the above companies tend to sell and don't want to pay more than I need to.

I think I may switch from getting married at Majestic Colonial to Princess. I am planning on 12/31/09 or 1/1/10, but they don't have information yet. Have you heard an updated time-frame on when the 2010 packages will be out?

I think its too late now, but if now I would like to get in on the color changing cups. I would need 25 of them.

I have my wedding set for 12/31/09 at the Colonial at 1pm. Now I just have to wait for the pricing to come out, they are still saying April-ish time frame. Is 1pm too early for the ceremony? I am not sure what the weather is like to determine.

I am also thinking of having it at the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro. But, they won't let me book anything until April. It's a toss up between that, Iberostar Dominicana or the Majestic.
