Gifts haha! I was wondering the same thing when it was my turn....you don't sound greedy Like Nadine I didn't register anywhere...this was mainly because we asked for no gifts (again because everyone was spending so much on the trip) and we already live together and have everything we need so the things we wanted were like garden sheds etc....a little ridiculous to ask for haha. My mom also threw me a surprise shower! It was a blast and alot of people that couldn't make it to the wedding came so we got LOTS of gift cards (home depot and Crate & Barrel ...my fav!) then after the wedding a couple aunts and grandparents that didn't come gave us money...not alot but since we weren't expecting anything it was really nice! A

I stayed in my room the night before the wedding with my MOH and one of my bridesmaids. In turn they gave my FI their room which turned out well because it was in the same part of the hotel as all his boys. I'm glad we did this...I missed him but it made it so much more exciting the day of. It wasn't hard to hide from him that morning either because the hotel was HUGE! We were at one end, he was at the other.

My original plan at my wedding was to go with the IPOD but at the last minute I decided I didn't want to have to stress about that and hired a DJ and man am I glad that I did! I didn't have an MC and he kind of took that position and was awesome! He played great music and I brought a couple cd's with must play songs for him. I definitely recommend the DJ.

I am going to be having a casual BBQ for ours as well this summer. I'm definitely not expecting any gifts and am not registering. (The few people that didn't come and wanted to give us gifts already have). My question for you guys is what are you doing at your AHR? I was just thinking to treat it as a party, display our pictures etc. and just have fun. Are you supposed to have a first dance etc ? I'm just so confused as to what were supposed to do at it without it being awkward.

Oh my gosh! This is my worst nightmare when I go away. Hopefully they find him (it seems like they are truly trying very hard) My thoughts are with you!

Looks like you got most of your questions answered but I just wanted to say that my ceremony was at 2 pm (this turned into 3 pm because my flowers were 1 hour late) and because it was the HOTTEST day we were there everyone enjoyed the break to freshen up before the 6:30 reception. We also did pictures right after the ceremony and actually ran out of time and my fiance and I were 30 minutes late for our own reception haha (again this was ok because they were still setting some stuff up) So I would say don't worry...it's nice having the whole day

Did you just use the marriage certificate you signed on your wedding day? I know they gave me a copy of that one but I didn't think it was the legal certificate. Ive been waiting because they told me 3 month's to get one but if I can start now that would be awesome!

If you don't want to pay extra for a dinner I would definitely recommend the Steakhouse. We had reservations in there one night when a wedding was going on and you barely even noticed they were there. It was still very private for them. This is definitely the best restaurant we ate at and if you do go with it request Renford Facey to be your server.....HE IS THE BEST!
