I didn't PM her but I did click the banner at the top of the page and put a request through. I didn't hear back from anyone. Also, I am not sure where everyone is from but I assumed it might make things easier for guests, and possibly myself, to have an agent close to home. Maybe I am wrong?

Hi! Just wondering if there is anyone from the K-W area on the forum who has got, or is getting, married in Cabo? (in particular Dreams or Riu Palace but it doesn't really matter)? If you can recommend a travel agent, that would be awesome! I am just starting to try and begin the whole planning process and am feeling a little lost. So far though, this forum has been invaluable! Ok, so I just found something on that same website saying you CAN bring in an outside photographer and if they are not staying at the same hotel, they must have a day pass. I hate conflicting info!

I am a teacher here in Ontario and we have had 2 snow days so far this school year. Unlike you in the States (from what I have heard...) we don't have to make them up at the end of the year. Last year, I had 9 altogether!!!!! I am hoping for more for my sake, but not yours!! Save up your personal days!

Hi everyone, I should check with the resorts but you girls are so knowledgeable I thought I would post here first. Would it be possible to stay at the Riu Palace, and be married at Dreams? I am not sure of the distance between the 2 places and if it'd be more of a hassle than anything else. These are my two choices for resorts at this point and I just read on another forum (My Riu Wedding > Home) that the Riu does not allow outside photographers. We are planning on bringing a photographer from Canada. Have any of you had any experiences with the Riu and external vendors? Things keep pointing to Dreams telling me it's the one!!! It's just that it's more expensive than we'd like our guests to have to spend just to get there. I have looked up prices for travel for July 2009 (a year from our wedding date) and it's about $2300 per person out of Toronto. Is it possible to negotiate rates with the hotel and work out a better deal than that? I am currently looking for a travel agent that specializes in DWs but so far no luck. I didn't hear back from any of the agents on this site. Thanks in advance for any info you can help out with! Ange

Hi KrazyK, I'd love to see your site visit pics!!! We are STILL trying to decide between the Riu and Dreams for our wedding July 2010. We have been to the Riu and loved it but based on wedding reviews, Dreams sounds better. However, the pictures I've seen of the grounds of Dreams don't look as nice as the Riu. So many decisions, but pictures are worth a thousand words!!! Looking forward to seeing the pics! Ange

This is a kind off topic, but still related - is Daniela still the only WC at the Riu Palace? I am hesitant about getting married there even though we have stayed there previously and loved just becuse of the negative things I've heard about her.

Hi everyone! Alright, so we are trying to decide between Dreams and the Riu Palace. We thought we had chosen Dreams but based on the fact that it seems to shut down at 10:30pm and doesn't seem to have as nice of grounds as the Riu, we are debating again! Does anyone know if it's possible to just have the wedding at Dreams, without staying there too? We've stayed at the Riu before so we know we like it but the wedding set up at Dreams looks much nicer!!!! Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!!!

I am also Canadian ..not too far from you ...... so not sure I am helping here ....but maybe a drugstore would sell them?? Also, sometimes convenience stores here sell stamps so that might be an option as well. Good luck!

Hi, I know some places have restrictions on bringing your own photographer. Is Dreams Los Cabos one of them? It's the one thing I am so close to booking and we really want her to come with us which she is willing to do for a great price, but if Dreams won't allow it we may have to find somewhere else. Hi everyone, We got engaged in July and have just finally managed to pick a date and location - July 15, 2010 at the Dreams Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico. We know we want to bring our photographer from here (hopefully Dreams is ok with that ......) but other than that, I don't know what to do next!!!! Is there any sort of checklist available with what needs to be considered when planning a destination wedding?? I don't even know colours, themes, etc yet!!! AhhH!! Thanks for your assistance! Hi everyone, I came across this website thanks to something I had posted on the forum on the TripAdvisor website. It's great!!! My name is Angela, I'm 26, and from Ontario, Canada. I've been engaged since July and we are getting married in July 2010. We are 100% sure we want a destination wedding and are just trying to decide on the date and resort. At this point, we are thinking July 15, 2010 and our top choices are Cabo (probably either the Riu Palace or Dreams) or Aruba. I think this will be a great resource for helping us decide.
