  1. Hi Pamelia! What a beautiful name
  2. Hi Meghan, I tried it last year...was on it for a few months. I DID lose weight, but when I stopped taking it, I kept losing. I don't think it was the hoodia (after much reflection!). I think it was the placebo affect, honestly. But as far as I know, there are no known side effects (emphasize KNOWN, because obviously it hasn't been subjected to long term testing yet). You will look beautiful no matter what size you are!!!! Your FI proposed to you because he loves you just the way you are Angela
  3. Hi Flowergirl! Welcome to the forum, it is SUCH a great source of information and support! Happy planning
  4. I agree that a lack of thank yous is a tacky, tacky thing. I've been to quite a few weddings over the past couple of years, and it is surprising, the number of people who do not send a thank you note. It is a small gesture, really - one that should be made. I have included it in my budget as a "must have", and will send them out as soon as I get back from my wedding/honeymoon.
  5. I just became a Maggie bride today! I LOVED her dresses online, and when I went in to try dresses, I said that I only wanted to try hers... lol the first one I tried, Brielle, was the ONE. I LOVE it - I feel like a princess in it! (don't mind the back, it's a size too small!)
  6. Hi Ladies, First of all, thank you all so much! Your comments were very helpful, and supportive as always! You really made me feel much better!! Second, you were right LOL I went to try on dresses today, and they all got on perfectly fine! I only tried on Maggie's, with the corset backs, so that was probably why... but I bought one (YAY!!!), and my size was actually a 12! One size bigger than their sample. Sooo... here it is! LOL I LOVE it... LOVE LOVE. I felt like a princess in it, and I've never felt like that before in anything, and certainly didn't think that a big white dress would do it... Again, thanks for all of your help!!!
  7. work: interfering with wedding planning! lol
  8. Okay, I'm kind of freaking out... I'm planning to go dress shopping this weekend with my MOH. I'm a size 12 ("street size"). I'm starting to hear (and read) about how I'm therefore actually a plus size bride, and that I will have a hard time trying on dresses because things wont be carried in my size??!! I know I'm not small, but I'm hardly big enough that I shouldn't be able to try on wedding dresses!!?? I can't believe that would be true - can anyone offer any insight? If it is of any relevance, I have my heart set on a Maggie Sottero (well, several.. lol)
