Oh wow, I had no idea that you couldnt' have legal ceremonies on the weekend. We were trying to decide between the two, I guess that makes that decision easier! I somehow caught Gaby on a good day yesterday and actually ended up emailing back and forth with her a few times, so I got the Q&A filled out and sent back, hopefully she'll send me a contract soon and I will really feel official

I think I have a date! September 6, 2009. It's the Sunday before Labor day which will be perfect for some of my guests that are coming and are worried about vacation days at work SOOO EXCITED!!! She emailed me today and told me that day was available and i emailed her right back (within seconds!) saying to book it. I hope that it works out...I'm not sure what all has to be done for them to actually reserve the date for me? Anyone know?

I'm trying to get a date in September or October of 2009...starting to stress out about it!! Last week I felt like I had all the time in the world, and all of a sudden this week all of my guests are asking questions and I'm starting to freak out. A lot. I think if I can just get the date set I will feel so much better....Luckily, I'm working with TA Jill trying to get a date, and from what I've heard she gets that taken care of quickly compared to other options...so fingers crossed!!!

I have a question...i've looked through the blog but i may have missed this, so i'm sorry if i'm repeating something that has already been discussed... Do the packages at Dreams Cancun include a legal wedding ceremony or is it just a symbolic ceremony? And do they help you with getting the blood tests/chest xrays that you have to have to get married in Mexico? Thanks!

Okay, I think the thing i'm most worried about at the moment is the photographer. Originally I thought I would just hire one down there, but I haven't seen many really great reviews of any down there...and I really want to have an album and prints and such done by my photog...not just digital copies... That said, what has been anyones experience with bringing a photographer with them? Do they generally give you some kind of a deal in exchange for you paying their way for a vacation? I'd like to go talk to some around here about the idea, but want to have an idea of what the generally accepted practice for a destination wedding is before I show up sounding like a fool! Becks...I looked at Nathaniel Thompson's site and absolutely FELL IN LOVE! I saw your pics on his Blog and they are gorgeous! Do you mind me asking what kind of a package you had worked out with him for the trip? Thanks SO MUCH Everyone for all the information! Hopefully as I get further into the planning stages I can become helpful as well...
