Hi All, The more I research, the more I love the Grand Palladium. But I have a few questions that I can't find answers to which might be a deal breaker for us. I am putting them below. Any help would be great! Thanks 1.) Can you specif who you want your officiant to be? We will already be legally married and would like to have a cosmic ceremony by Maria and Charlie. Is a symbolic cosmic ceremony by Maria & Charlie possible? 2.) Is it possible to bring a fake bouquet instead? I am allergic to pollen and I can't have a real bouquet. 3.) Can we replace the red carpet walkway to the garden gazebo with our own runner? 4.) Can we bring our own decorations and set them up? Things like chair ties, decorations for the pillars, etc. 5.) What times are ceremonies held? 6.) Besides the gazebo is there a Chuppah on the beach for the ceremony? 7.) Are the resort actives fun for all ages? We have ages 20-65 going and none of them are big drinkers. I want to make sure they will have a good time. 8.) Is dinner on the beach for our reception a possibility? 9.) Do the sit down restaurants offer breakfast and lunch? 10.) Do we need to buy a wedding package at all or can we get one customized to meet our needs? As you can see we really don't need/want many of the things in the standard package. What are our options? I don't want to pay for a bunch of things we don't want. The only things we really want is the location, chairs and table.

Hey all, I am getting very interested in the Palladium resorts for our DW. Was doing some research and stumbled across this AMAZING site: Unofficial Palladium Resort & Spa It even has a great section for brides. Click the package links at the bottom. The document contains more than just package info.

Sorry to tell you but Mexican law forbids any wedding photos to be taken at historic ruin sites. It was totally what we wanted too. BUT there are a few smaller ruins that are not historic sites that some of the local photographers can take you to? Who is your photographer?

Hi All, Have we made a list of places to purchase paper yet? I have these two bookmarked from previous research: Specialty Paper, Envelopes and Invitation Supplies by Envelopemall Card Stock, Vellum Paper, Envelopes, Metallic Cardstock, Invitation Cards & Specialty Wedding Stationery - Paperandmore.com Are there any others you have used? Thanks.

Hi All, Does anyone have certain questions they asked TA's as they were selecting one? Things that helped you gauge their knowledge of the area. Thanks
-
Hi all, How did you find a TA? We started with one a few weeks ago but due to lack of responsiveness we are looking to switch. We are looking for someone who knows the Riviera Maya area around PDC. We want to stay away from Cancun. The banners above for BDW TA's do not list anyone for the Riviera Maya. Any suggestions on how to find someone? Thanks, Carla

If this is a new policy could you be grandfathered in under the old one? -
My youngest sister has passed...I want to cancel ceremony
RosieM replied to Indigo's topic in Just venting or funnies
I know how hard this must be on you, I lost my father 2 years ago. The best piece of advice I can give you is to stop and grieve, don't worry about anything else like the wedding. The first few weeks are probably the worst and even just waking up in the morning feels like to much sometimes. I know for me that even the little mundane things made me either want to cry or scream during that time. After the funeral is over and you have been back to your daily routines for a couple weeks, that is the best time to start thinking about the wedding again. It will seem less overwhelming and you will be able to see things from perspectives other than the grieving process. Please let us know if there is anything you need or anything we can do to support you. We are here to listen even if its just to talk. -

When I do finish them I will definitely post pictures for everyone.

Hotel copyright/trademark question
RosieM replied to BachataBride's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Are you just place the name or is it the RUI logo? The logo is where you would get into trouble. -
Well done! Might want to add that in the carry on bag they might want to include clothing for dinner that evening and a bathing suit.

They are called bouquet jewelry. If you google it you will get a ton of options.
