  2. Hi all. Is anyone here not having a bridal party?? No bridesmaid, groomsmen, or flower girl etc?? I'm thinking of not having anyone in my party just because my wedding is sooo small and honestly I'm not THAT close to that many people to be having them all in my bridal party. I may just have ONE for me and ONE for DF. Like one maid of honor no brides maid. And ONE best man, no grooms men. What do you ladies think??
  3. cute princess baggie!! love the target bargain section!! dollar spot!!! see spot save!! hehee!!
  4. eggs : wisdom teeth (DF just got his wisdom teeth pulled today so he's been eating a boiled egg's yolk mashed with chicken broth..)

You can have everyone at the same hotel without the AI aspect of it. Luckily, you have time to think about it. Thank god for long engagements! lol I know seriously, I'm so happy with having this long engagement!! Are you and your DF staying in the same room? Because you know they say you should sleep away from each other the day before??
  12. Thanks for the links and welcome to the forum!!
  13. welcome to the forum and im keeping my fingers crossed for your april 2010 wedding!! good luck hun!!

I think choosing AI or non AI is completely a personal choice. For our group, AI was the best way to go. We are a bunch of party'ers so I didn't want my guests to have to be worrying about their bank accounts while on vacation if they want to drink and eat and do certain water activities. I also like the idea of us all staying together because this will be the first time we've (his friends, my friends, his family, my family) all been able to hang out in the same spot since everyone is all over the country. We don't have that many partiers coming. I mean we all like to have a good time but we only have like 3 big drinkers coming to the wedding. One is a recovered alcoholic so I don't want her to be exposed to all that alcohol and open doors to her haunting past. And the other two I just don't want drinking to the point of drunkenness like they often times do. So that I don't mind, but it would be nice to have an unlimited amount of food for our family and friends. We're a family based around the kitchen so I really wish we could have that and water activities we can all do as a group because his family has never really met my family. Grrr. Ideas?!

  17. July 4th!! Does that mean free fireworks??!! Hehee!! Welcome to the forum!!
  18. Wow your wedding sounds like loads of fun and I think it's so cool that you guys have family from everywhere coming!! I think destination weddings are fun because it brings people from everywhere to come together for a vacation that is pretty unfamiliar territory for everyone. Also makes it fair to all sides of the family because the wedding isn't in someone's neighborhood ya know?? Anyways, congrats and welcome to the forum!!
  19. Congrats and welcome to the forum!!

I don't remember them all offhand but I know a single for 3 nights is $703 and...that's all I can remember right now. lol I went to see your wedding website and I saw the rates. How many people are coming?? I'm so debating on what to do now. It seem so fun to stay at an all inclusive hotel because everything comes included and the family and friends can do activities together at the hotel. But in Hawaii they don't have all inclusive. We were kind of planning on having us two stay in a beach house and having everyone else just get a hotel of their choice, but now I think I kind of like the idea of booking everything through a TA and all staying at the same hotel.

I believe that's how it works. That's how it worked for us anyway. Maybe some other girls had different experiences. Ahhhh ha! I gotcha! Do you mind me asking how much it was per a room??

What if she thinks 75 book through her but only 25?? Will we still be able to get the group rate?? Thanks darling!!
  23. I'm getting married in Hawaii and I am in the same boat as a lot of our fellow engaged ladies!! Once we're getting married in Hawaii we want a Hawaiian song with lots of meaning sang in the Hawaiian language, however it's hard!! I'm thinking of having my Uncle (he's native to Hawaii and lives there and so musically talented) play his guitar or ukleili (sp?) and sing gently during the ceremony. It would be so meaningful to me. And he knows lots of songs so maybe we can just have him do one half of the song in Hawaiian and then sing it back in English?? Or I can do Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" It's such a sweet song, but too fast to walk to?? What do you think?? I also like the song in the movie 50 First Dates by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole called "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Lots of meaning behind that but again too fast?? If Jason Mraz and Israel Kamakawiwo'ole song are too fast I may just have to chose one to be played as we as a married couple walk off of the aisle and one to play as we walk into the reception. Here you can hear the songs on YouTube: Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" Israel Kamakawiwo'ole "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
