  1. Ha ha, I loved the challenge for a little bit too. Now I'm just ready to find it and move on!
  2. Does anyone know where I can get this Amy Kuschel belt (white) for less than $460.00? I know I'm going out on a limb here, but thought maybe my BDW girls might be able to help. I love this belt, but it's a lot of $$$.
  3. NOOOOO!!! Son of a &*^%! I loved Big Shots from last year too. All my fav shows get the boot!
  4. Kathy, you are such a rock star! Thanks for posting your research. I am VERY nervous about flight prices, so I really appreciate you posting this helpful info. I also read something similar on Fareast. It said NOT to purchase tickets when the prices are sky high. Airlines will be foreced to lower prices if there is no demand at the higher price. Are you posting your DIY on the DIY forum? I'd love to see what you are working on!
  5. This is tough. FI is paying for his parents air fare AND hotel for 5 nights AND misc spending money AND passports. Basically everything! This causes a strain on us because we can't afford to do everything WE really want to do because of this (like fly first class). However, we knew when we chose to have a DW that this would be the case.
  6. Hi Girls, I live in Atlanta, but I can't claim to be a Georgia peach. I moved here last year after living my whole life in California.
  7. I have a little update too! My dress came in!!! I think I'm going to see it this weekend. Saks will hold onto it for me until I'm finished with fittings. I should also have my invites next week. Luggage tags: My mom has a laminating machine and she is going to make them for me. You can also use vista print. Go to the DIY forum and search luggage tags. There are many, many expamples, directions, templates, etc.
  8. I totally agree. I am so freaked out by the thought of flying with my dress. It's the most gorgeous, expensive thing I've owned, and I will go nuts if anything happens to it. It's $360 each person to upgrade to first class, and with every other cost associated with the wedding, I don't know if we are going to make that happen. Ugghhh....
  9. Your dress is gorgeous and so sophisticated! I am ususally a fan of half-up, and I do like your Mexico pic, but I like your hair best up with that dress!
  10. I'm laughing a little bit to myself because it looks like all of our votes are split pretty evenly. My advise would be to have someone that knows you really well look at you in both dresses. My sister cried when I put on the dress that is now "my" dress. She was thoroughly unimpressed with every other dress I tried on- such a critic. When her cute little face scrunched up and she started crying, I knew "my" dress was a keeper.
  11. Is anyone else living in sin? When I lived by myself it was so easy to stick to a good diet. Now I live with FI, and he has a major sweet tooth, and I feel like I eat crap all of the time. He's not happy unless he's sharing his ice cream, m&m's etc, with me. It's so much harder living with him.
  12. I am so fortunate. My family is paying for the wedding. FI and I are paying for the open bar, all of our travel and accomodations, and all of his parents travel and hotel accomodations. The fact that we have to pay for his rents is costing us big... Not complaining though- my parents ROCK!!
  13. So exciting! Can't wait to see the rest and hear all about it.
  14. There is something I really love about #2! I think the top is so pretty and feminine. It makes you look tiny.
  15. Oh girl, I didn't even read the whole thread before I've had to respond. I 100% think you need to go for it! One year is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Plus, it you've never been away from your support system, you will be amazed at how much inner strength and growth you will gain.

Also I need some advice on what color to order my flower ribbons in. I think I want my ribbon to be white, the corsages for the mom's in white because it will go with what they wear, for the BM, GM & Groom, I think I would like the ribbon to be teal so they pop ot from what they are wearing but the flowers are white and fuschia, would that look ok? Here's a picture of the flowers (al white orchids instead of white & green) - help please Good job on your planning! Question, does teal go with anything else in your color scheme? Does it match the BM and Groom? I think it might be a little odd if it doesn't fit the overall color scheme... If you want a color to pop, I think I would do with green. It will match the stems and look natural but still stand out against a white shirt or khaki suit (not sure what the guys are wearing). That's just my two pesos!
  17. Does anyone remember the Sex in the City where Samantha gets a peel? Her face is bright red and blistery for a huge party she has to attend. Sorry, that was so off the subject!
  18. Crate & Barrel and Macy's. I think we are going to register this weekend. I originally wasn't even going to register, but we have a lot of family not attending the wedding. I don't want people coming to our wedding to buy gifts too. The most important thing to me is being there on the big day.
  19. I called Delta about this and their policy is that the dress has to fit their carry on baggage requirements. If it doesn't, it can't come on the plane. That is their official policy, but I'm hoping the flight attendants will be more accomodating.
  20. Hey K8, We're here for you!!! Did you find the fabric you are looking for yet? It will all be worth it.
