I actually borrowed my veil from a friend who had gotten married in June, it was my something borrowed. But I beleive she had told me that she got it at a Bridal Store here in San Diego and paid like $175. Let me know if you want more info and I can get it from her.
  3. Okay I changed my facebook settings so you don't have to be my friend to look at my pics!! Also if I didn't cover anything that any furture dreams brides may have questions on, feel free to ask away
  4. Hello Ladies, I was married at Dreams Los Cabos on Saturday August 8th and everything turned out absolutely perfect and I couldn't have had a more perfect wedding. Since Most of our guests came in for the long weekend we planned out 3 nights of Fun for them. Thursday night we did a Pub Crawl, and had Miguel (who works at Dreams) reserve us tables at Cabo Wabo. Since there were about 30 of us, we ended up getting a table right next to the stage in the VIP area they have, and it was so much fun!! Cabo Wabo was perfect for our group since our group ranged from ages 25-68. My 68 year old Grandma was having the time of her life dancing and enjoying the live band! I highly recommend Cabo Wabo if you have a variety of ages in your group, cause the live band there is awesome! Afterward the younger crowd continued on to Squid Roe and a lot of the parents headed back to the hotel, but Squid Roe was a blast also, but def. more for the younger crowd. Friday night we did our rehearsal on the beach and then afterward held a dinner at dreams on the beach by Oceana. We did the Mexican Buffet, which was so yummy! Then Saturday night was the wedding. My wedding Coordinator was Yesica. At first I was worried because when I was planning my wedding, she wasn’t very quick at responding with the emails, so I was kinda nervous about how everything would turn out. However once I got to Dreams we sat down with Yesica and went over all the wedding details, she took care of everything! She was such an awesome wedding coordinator and everything I wanted she made sure to do for us. I even decided the night before my wedding that I wanted the lantern lights and told her the morning of and she made it happen. She was such a wonderful coordinator!! Hair/Make Up-Last minute I ended up using Suzanne Morel and her team to do hair and make up for myself and my bridesmaids (I had 7!) then the two mothers. I can’t say enough about Suzanne Morel and her team, they were AWESOME! Even though they are pricey, it is so worth the money. Since we had so many girls they brought in a whole team, it was like a hair salon in my hotel room, it was so much fun! But they did an amazing job and I am so glad that I ended up hiring them. For Photography I used Mango, and Karla was my photographer. Her pictures turned out Amazing! And I even got them the next day; she had made an album for me and a CD. I probably should mention that I had the Dreams Ultimate package, so photography and videographer were included for the ceremony and I just had to pay extra for before and after the wedding. I’m not sure if my videographer was Mango or not cause I never even talked to him or knew who was doing the video, but our video came in the mail the other day, and he did a fabulous job!! Since we did the Ultimate package we chose the Meal option #1, the surf and turf. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was, and the lobster was amazing!! Highly recommend that menu! For the DJ, we used DJ Mijares, however he wasn’t available that night so we got his partner DJ Yeyo. While he wasn’t a very vocal DJ, he did play all the music we asked him to play and it ended up being fine that he didn’t talk much or loud, we were all too busy dancing anyway!! Our wedding night turned out absolutely amazing and it was hands down one of the best nights of our lives thus far! Dreams did such an amazing job with everything and everyone who works there is so nice and everything is “it’s a pleasure”. If it’s one thing I learned after my wedding and one piece of advice that I can pass along, is if you are planning a destination wedding, don’t worry about all the small things and enjoy your wedding planning process, cause it goes by so fast and before you know it it’s over!! Just enjoy it and have a great time with your guests, everything will fall into place. The one memory I will always have of my wedding night is all of the guests jumping in the pool afterward, even myself!!! Yes I jumped in the pool in my wedding dress (and it was so worth it!). Enjoy planning all the Cabo Brides to be, it will be such an amazing day!! Also, I have tons of pics, however not sure how to post them on here, I do have a facebook account that some are on if anyone wants to take a look: Login | Facebook Happy Planning

  6. We are doing a Pub Crawl starting out at Cabo Wabo and I know they have the VIP tables off to the side that I wanted to rent for our Group, has anyone ever rented these and if so any idea on pricing, etc? any info would be so helpful! Thanks!
  7. Okay I feel like I am a PRO at this since I am getting married at Dreams on August 8, in just 2 weeks! I too did the Ultimate package, and yes every additional person is $70 when you go over 20 people. As far As I know that includes everything from the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The trio only plays for an hour, for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I'm not sure about renting the speakers since we are doing a DJ. I doubt that they will let you trade all that to go towards extra people. Some things they have let me trade and others they have not. I didn't like the bridal bouquet that the package came with so Yesica said that I could use the bridal bouquet to go towards a bridesmaid bouquet for the wedding, so it is just one less bouquet that I have to pay for. As far as the hair and make up, since I am hiring someone else to come do it, they are letting me trade for a Mani/Pedi at the spa. I too am bringing my own table decor, except for I am renting the hurricanes through dreams for the tables, I also am doing bows for the chair, it's only $2 a chair. As soon as you secure a date with dreams and get a wedding coordinator, they will send you pics of what your package includes. Hope this helps I know it seems so over whelming in the begining not knowing how everything works, but it all works out
  8. I have Yesica, and so far she has been great! She is a little slow at returning emails, but if I have needed an answer to something right away I have called her and she always answers. But when I email I just write "Attn: Yesica"

I'm using Yesica, and I will agree that she's not the fastest w/ responding to emails. But I have noticed that since my wedding is getting pretty close she has gotten back to ma A LOT faster. I noticed that your wedding is coming up (congrats!!!). I also have Yesica as a WC but since my wedding is still a while away (August 8, 2009) I haven't worked with her on anything, other than picking a date. Can you tell me when you started working with her planning your wedding, picking out vendors, colors, menu, etc? I don't want to bug her cause I know she's busy but I also don't want to put anything off at the last minute. Thanks!!
  10. I would call her. I booked my date over the phone and then she emailed me the auth. form which I filled out and faxed to her. I Know it is so frustrating sometimes, but def. give her a call. Good Luck!
  11. Your website is awsome!! I'm also a future Dreams Los Cabos bride so it's fun to see all that you have on your website and I may be looking from time to time to get some pointers!

No, I haven't even started planning that yet since my wedding is still a year away, I just know that I want it there cause it is my favorite restaurant in Cabo!!! Not to mention that it's on the sand and has a beautiful view of Lands End.
  13. Always be your baby- Natalie Grant such a beautiful song, def. a tear jerker!
  14. Not a stupid question at all! I booked my date and then had my parents and my fiances parents book their rooms, cause they have a timeshare so they just reserved their week. The number i called must have been Yesica's direct line cause she answered when I called, but it's: +52-624-14-57674 But she is really hard to get ahold of through email, also I don't know if this helps but when I inquired about May 09 these are the dates she gave me, so I am not sure what is still available cause this was a few weeks ago. * May: 6, 10, 11, 12, 26 or 27th.
  15. I'm not much help with the budget part, but Mi Casa would be an awsome restaurant to have a welcome dinner. The place is huge and I'm pretty sure they have a private room for parties. Also I'm planning mine at the office, which is also another beautiful spot! Good Luck
  16. Congrats that is so exciting....isn't it the best thing ever to finally set a date!
  17. Trust me I know exactly what you guys are going through. It did take a while to hear back from Yesica, I had to basically break down and call and I was so glad that I did! I spoke to her directly and she was very nice. I too wanted May or June 2009, but there were no weekends, so that is why I opted for August. But I def. recommend calling if you are impatient like me But this forum has been a life saver for me! Also I went with the Ultimate package, that was one thing also where I had no idea what to do, if anyone has any advice on the packages I would appreciate it.
  18. Thanks so much for calming my nerves, I did end up hearing from Yesica that she received my deposit and it would get processed, so I guess that means it's official. Which is so exciting!
  19. Hi All, I'ma future Cabo Dreams Bride, I love reading all the posts on this website, they are so helpful! I recently just booked my date with Yesica @ Dreams, had to call cause emailing took forever. Can any Dreams brides tell me what they did when booking their date. I called Yesica, booked the date, then she emailed me confirmations and the authorization form, I filled it out with $500 deposit and haven't heard anything, is my date secure? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

    Hello!

Hi, My name is Chelsea and I am newly engaged. I plan to have my wedding at Dreams Los Cabos, I've stayed there before so that is why I chose the destination. Although if any Dreams Brides could offer any advice I would be so appreciative. My dilema right now is that I spoke with Yesica on the phone Weds. and booked August 8th as my wedding date, she sent me an email saying she confirmed that date for my wedding and that I needed to send in my authorization form, which I did yesterday, emailed her and haven't got confirmationt that she received my form. I basically just want to know that I am locked in for August 8th, can anyone help ease my mind?!?! I saw someone mentioned something about a confirmation with rooms before it is officially booked...any suggestions?!?!
