I'm actually finishing up my boarding pass invites and I can honestly say that it wasn't too hard. Like many others have said, it's just time consuming. I did 100 invites and had second thoughts when I was about half way thru. In my opinion, cutting them out is the most tedious part. Have patience & good luck!

Did you use an outside vendor or someone from the resort's cigar bar? Any additional info is appreciated. THANKS!!!

Hi Michelle!!! WELCOME BACK & CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! Thanks sooooooooooo much for the detailed review. You're insight has helped me TREMENDOUSLY with my planning. Your teasers on the Iberostar thread had me so anxious! You've really set my mind at ease.... especially, about the Vitrales room set up. I had no idea they offered various set-ups (I've already asked LindoBride to send me the pics she received from the WC). Sounds like something else I need to squeeze into the budget. I had the same concerns about the ceremony locations. The gazebo in the shopping center looks beautiful. It has a nice rustic look and it's semi private. I'm sold!!! Again, thanks for sharing.

Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Info
briscoecrown replied to suzieq17's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Hi Ladies... I'm glad I came across this thread. I'm actually booked at an Iberostar in Riviera Maya, Mexico in June. However, I just found out that Iberostar is opening two other resorts in Rose Hall, JA. The thought of a brand new resort is tempting me. Now I'm having second thoughts about my location. In particular because my hotel doesn't offer a private reception (found out after I chose it). Does anyone know if a private reception is being offered at the new Rose Hall Suites? Also, I'm trying to understand what are the differences between the resorts? I know the Grand is adult only, but what's the difference between the Rose Hall Beach and the Rose Hall Suites? Is it just the rooms? Is there a difference between the amenities offered? Are the wedding packages different? I know, I know... I have quite a few question. Any addtl info would be appreciated. -

Once there, she never made a time for us to visit with her. We watched two weddings that they performed while we were there. The beach location is very public - they roped it off with POLICE TAPE!! Hello Shana Sorry to hear about your experience. Are you & your daughter considering changing just the wedding location at the Lindo or the hotel itself? Did you have an opportunity to look at the gazebo site?

Did you get a chance to see that site?

Yes, I attended a destination wedding too. It was a beautiful ceremony held at Beaches, Turks and Caicos this past May. I've always wanted to have a destination wedding and after seeing this one, I was sold! Not to mention, my FI proposed there so it only seemed right for everyone to travel again next year for ours!

Hi Ladies.... I came across another bargain item for your OOT bags. WalMart has clear plastic sport bottles for $1 each. I found them in the seasonal section (of course, buried behind all of the Halloween stuff). The bottles come in bright summer colors... light green, blue, pink, etc. They hold 32 ounces and come with a freezer stick that fits in the middle of the bottle. The original price was $4.37. It's a good quality and made of hard plastic. The only thing is they can't be stacked into each other or squished together, so they will take up space in your luggage. Once again.... happy shopping & good luck!

Hi Ladies... I was in Target today and came across a good deal. In the dollar section, there were 4.6 oz bottles of bath salts marked down to .50 each..... Vanilla Sprinkles, Raspberry Delight, Strawberry Swirl and Coconut Cream. Needless to say, I cleared out the bins at my local store. If you're looking for another item for your OOT, this is an inexpensive option. Happy shopping & good luck!!

In case someone in the group is allergic or vegetarian please advice. jpitts, thanks again!!! I was afraid the fixed menu would limit the group to only one dinner selection (with the exception of dietery needs). I can breathe a sigh of relief now. I can work with two, of course three would be better. :-) One less thing to worry about (& I'll probably add 5 more by the end of the day).

I want to concentrate on decorating the dinner tables. I figured that since people will be sitting down, the focus would be more on the table itself (& then maybe the newlyweds ). Does anyone know if the Maya/Lindo has a location where we could have an 'all in one' reception (dinner, dancing, cake cutting, etc)? Besides the Disco, of course! BTW, the maracas look authentic. Good choice!
