  1. awe-those pictures are so great! They are definitely sexy also!!!
  2. that is weird I think. Yes, you can have a DJ anywhere at the resort. Rachel had hers on the beach and it worked out perfectly. I was going to have my reception and use DJ Mannia by the quiet pool. Are you sure she didnt mean that you couldnt have the buffet for less than 50?
  3. I just want to say what an amazing photographer Erick was from Claudia Rodriguez. He was so great to work with and really easy going. He had us laughing and posing in great positions. Even husband said that he really liked him. We did a TTD with him and he was hysterical laughing at us and we even jumped in the pool with our outfits on!! I highly recommend him and I can not wait to see the pictures
  4. We had Erick for our wedding and I can not say enough amazing things about him. All of her photographers are so talented so I think you really can not go wrong with any of them
  5. OMG-that is horrible. I dont understand since the whole travel restrictions were lifted!
  6. Try this [email protected] She is amazing and you will love her! We used Erick (her brother) and he was so great!
  7. They painted my flowers also and it leaked on Jay's shirt-it was weird because we had no idea that they were painted until that happened

Hey Lisa- When I looked at the forecast before we left it said the same thing-it was sunny and amazing every day we were there. Don't worry about the forecast-if it rains in cancun it rains for maybe 5 minutes and the rain is really light and it is still really sunny. It rained our last day and it was awesome. Still really hot and sunny and this really fine rain.

The charge was $20/per person and she set it up for me. You have to do a set menu for it and she was going to allow me to pick 2 entrees. Here is the menu for the Portofino restaurant-we ate there one night and the food was so good! The Tiramsu for desert was AMAZING PORTOFINO_INGLES act 28-07.doc
  10. We used Mike Cantarell and he is awesome. I would definitely reccomend him! Cancun Wedding Videos | Mayan Riviera Wedding Videographer | Mike Cantarell
  11. I have 5 photo albums left if anyone is interested in them! Everything else is gone!
  12. Hi Lonna-check out Amy's (I think it is Amy706) review-she did a trip to the ruins and gave envelopes to people for the cabs. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33518 As far as gift certificates-the gift shop is not that great-if anything you can do something for the people at the spa...
  13. I actually had the opposite experience with them. Most of my guests booked with them for our wedding and they refunded all of their money for canceling. And-FYI travel insurance did not cover the flu cancelations

But, can you tell me again how to pay for the wedding when we get there and or any additional services that we will purchase? Credit card? check? cashiers check? I recall that some of you mentioned the exchange rate, etc. For those of you who were just there, or anyone, if you could let me know that would be great!! Also, I confirmed $5 a bow...that was the price in the 2008-2009 wedding guide I believe. Also, how did you pay d.j. mannia? and what is an appropriate tip for him? Thanks!!! Lonna Lonna-you can pay mannia by cash or travelers checks. We used our credit card to pay for everything at the resort (Amex). They charge you in pesos and your bank will convert it.
  15. try not to let those 11 get you down. Trust me, I speak from experience-this is your day and don't let people rain on your parade
  16. they have corona on tap and also had miller lite in the can when we were just there
  17. that is nuts $12/bow! I just re-read an email from Natalia and I had asked her about blue tulle for 50 people and for the canopy and she said it would be $200
