  3. I am a recruiter and I will tell you that you should wear a suit. It does not matter if it is skirt or pants. I would also suggest it be dark and plain. Plain heels also.
  4. I am so happy that this thread got bumped! I was about to do a search on the forum to see how to do this! Awesome ladies
  5. Not sure if I am posting in the correct place but there was a great article in Friday's journal about is it safe to go to Mexico and they have many reliable people saying of course it is. I know that we had many guests worry about it and I am going to direct them to this article. Is It Safe to Go to Mexico? - WSJ.com Mods-sorry if this is in the wrong place-feel free to move it!

Ladies, your help please... I was so gung-ho on hiring the Mexican Trio for my wedding until Beth posted a message a little while ago about using "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from the soundtrack for 50 First Dates. After hearing the song, I've totally changed my mind in favour of using it instead! However, now I'm struggling a bit with a song to use after the ceremony is completed. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be so grateful to hear any ideas. My FH is laughing (and rolling his eyes a little) at my change of heart considering we leave in a little less than 4 weeks (YAYAYAY!!!). Any advice would be so helpful! Thanks! Great-way to blame me Sarah!! Our song after the ceremony is "All you need is Love" by the beatles...it is fun and good lyrics!!! Can you believe we are getting married so soon? It is crazy!!

Blkatz - i live and work in C.C. too! what neighborhood do you live in? have i asked this before? lol We have been dying to go to Chifa - did you like it? Katrina - i love El Vez as well but I would actually suggest El Camino Real over El Vez - not as expensive and just as good if not better - it is new and on Liberties Walk across from Bar Ferdinand. and El Azteca recently got their liquor license so i am not sure if you can bring your own tequila anymore Lucky Strike or North Bowl are GREAT ideas! sooo maybe we are onto something here... you guys could go to El Camino Real (mexican food, margaritas, great jukebox, fun atmosphere - then after dinner walk like 4 blocks south to North Bowl (you could reserve the area upstairs where they have 2 private bowling lanes and a lounge area next to the upstairs bar - it is nice and overlooks the whole downstairs!)
  13. I LOVE both of those shows!!! I didnt see the previews for the NJ ones but I think that they might be a bit over kill with those. I wasn't that into Atlanta. I think the OC and NYC are the best! Jill and Bethany crack me up!

[i found this (Awesome 80s Prom, Off Broadway, Bachelorette Parties, New York) which looks amazingly fun, but it's in NYC and i just don't think everyone will want that much hassle involved (limo or train, possibly a room, etc.). why can't this be in philly?] So I had my bachelorette party 2 weeks ago in Philly and this is what we did...started at my apartment and then went to Chifa (7th and Chestnut) and then we had a table at G lounge. Some of my friends wanted to do a few different things including going out in the gay neighborhood to Woodys and then over to Lucky Strike. There are a ton of fun places in the city. Let me know if you need any ideas-I live and work in center city
  15. In the beginning we were planning on getting legally married by our rabbi so our parents could see it and then go to Mexico for our real ceremony. Have you thought about just having your parents at your church for your legal ceremony? Maybe your dad can come down for a long weekend, like Friday-Monday?
  16. that is fun the LED ice cubes! Are you going to give them to the bar tenders to put in the drinks or just give them out at your reception?
